    The Echo program I’m in is Accredited by CAHEP it’s a two year program but doesn’t offer a associate degree it’s just a certification but to each is own. I can take CCI OR ARDMS I’m still debating on which credentialing I want to take.

    Hello! I am also looking into sonography but because I already have a BS degree I can only get a certificate. Is that okay? Also, what accredited program did you attend in New York?

    I see there are many different types of accreditation and can’t really find information explaining the difference, what is the difference between CAAHEP accredited and JRCERT accredited?

  • @lolgeselle

    @lolgeselle

    6 ай бұрын

    JRCERT relates to radiology -- CAAHEP relates to allied health programs -- two different bodies of credentials however CAAHEP is more well known to ultrasound/sonography

    Hi I’m looking into a program to get my associates in diagnostics that’s not CAAHEP accredited. They are ACCSC accredited. I told me if I pursue the associates degree to keep in mind once I complete the program I need to pass ARRT exam first before i can take the ARDMS EXAMs Also no pre-reqs are required Any advised?

    Hi there!! As long as the school is credible and they give you the route to take the ARDMS exams thats what matters. But it's up to you at the end of the day to do your full research and compare non-CAAHEP and CAAHEP schools. At the end of the day, employers just want their sonographers to be registered in ARDMS/CCI. Good luck!

    Is CHCP college good? And what if it’s ABHES accredited, is it a waste of time?

    I don't know much about CHCP but you can search online and check for reviews or even post in sonography forums and usually people who went can chime in!

    HI Geselle! I want to attend HDMC (HIGH DESERT MEDICAL COLLEGE Temecula Ca ) It is Not accredited by CAAHEP only by ACCET...Can you please tell me if this is accredited or not ? There are not many schools by me for Sonography . hope to hear back thank you !

    Hi! CAAHEP is just the most commonly known accreditation body for ultrasound. I would say to ask the program what their requirements are to take the ARDMS board exams. See if you can find anyone who has attended that program and was successful/ able to get registered! I suggest posting in Facebook groups if you can't find someone!

    I want to attend HDMC in Temecula as well! Have you started the process yet? They told me that you have to pass the ARRT exam first, then you'll be eligible to take the ARDMS

    Hi guys, I’m looking of getting into a vascular technology program (associate degree) accredited by CAAHEP. And then take the ARDMS exam to get the RVT. A question, after getting the RVT if later I want to get RDMS -would I need to go back to school again for the DMS program ? Thank you guys for your help and advice😊

    @@lolgeselle they aren’t “new”…but they may have been sold and/or changed names a couple times. Corinthian or Everest. 🚩 They made the news last year for violating high stakes testing in their nursing program 🚩 And they offer a non accredited associates in cardiovascular sonography for $58K. 🚩 I would love to speak with any echo techs who graduated from there if you could ask around.

    Recently binge watched some of your videos Ms Geselle regarding sonography and they were all informative and helpful. I am about to start my DMS program this March on AMSC Glendale, CA. I was just wondering if you have any insights or if you’re familiar about the school? I also just found out that the school is not CAAHEP accredited. I wanted to ask if I should consider looking for a different school that is CAAHEP accredited instead? I hope you respond to my comment 🤍

    That is amazing, thank you for watching and soaking up all of the information that you can! I am not familiar with that school however you can ask in facebook groups or reddit and do some research on the school or program! Find out if you can find someone at that school who graduated and see if they recommend it. You can become a sonographer from a non-accredited school however there may be a delay in taking the ARDMS exams depending on if it is an associates or bachelors degree. Good luck and continue to do more research!
