    Great hunt as always! Can't wait to see how you get on in that garden. I absolutely love the Simplex in yards and gardens, not sure yet whether it makes sense to upgrade to the Legend yet but some more videos might convince me.

    To be historically accurate the item at 23:21 is a Pull Tab which were invented to stay on the can and reduce litter. (Didn’t work because litter louts always pulled them off) Also now known as part of the Stay Tab group. And Ring Pulls were actually called Pull Rings because you put your finger in the ring. You can’t put your finger in the hole on a Pull Tab. Pull tabs are generally rectangular with two holes and rounded edges. Pull rings have a ‘Beaver Tail’ attached by a rivet to an alloy finger ring. Just Saying👍😊

    Hearing a lot of good things about the Legend. The tones are very crisp on the return. Can you get depth at full sensitivity in salt water? Thanks for the info and demo Adam!

    Hi! Yes, the Legend is definitely impressing me so far! I've only had it out once on the beach so far but looking forward to going again when good tides allow. Most of the targets were around the rocks so not much chance to test depth but watching other videos from people I trust they've been getting amazing depth with it in the wet.

    Hi Adam .. Some interesting finds there.. I have a background in electronics and do own a simplex, I know they are supposed to be waterproof but cringe when I see people using them in water, especially salt water. Maybe I am just a bit paranoid about that. Stay safe and happy hunting!

  • @DTEKTSUSSEX

    @DTEKTSUSSEX

    Hi! Hopefully this little fact will put you more at ease. In the roughly two and a half years since the Simplex was released worldwide there has been only one waterproofing failure reported...and in that case the user had taken the control box apart prior to the failure thus breaking the waterproof seal and voiding the warranty. The quality of Nokta Makro's machines is second to none 😊😃😃👍

    I use tones mostly. I find many viewers want to know the readings from the screen as well so I relay them as well as playing the tones for people to hear. That way hopefully everyone can get a sense however they prefer to detect 😊 Thanks for the nice comment and for watching 😃😎👍

    If you're completely brand new then the Simplex might be better to start with for a year or two. If you're reasonably au fait with the language, techniques and more advanced settings then the Legend would be a good choice 😃😎👍

    Can you run full sensitivity with ground balance at zero?

  • @DTEKTSUSSEX

    @DTEKTSUSSEX

    2 жыл бұрын

    No. Even on a manual ground balance the best value was 7. Different conditions and settings will yield different results though. To be honest, with the depth I was getting last week I think it's fine to sacrifice a little depth for stability on the beach. You won't need to go too deep in the wet sand.

    Hi! The Legend is a higher end machine with a lot of settings and features to learn. For a complete beginner I would strongly suggest looking at the Simplex. It's designed to be easy to use and learn whilst still giving excellent performance well above its price point. Put in 2 of 3 years' on the Simplex and you'll be ready to move on to the Legend 😊👍

    @@DTEKTSUSSEX thank you great info on that, love the videos im after watching hundreds of hours on youtube of all metal detectors , im fascinated by it all only real prob i reckon will be permissions very hard to get here in ireland, also the laws here are much stricter then the uk they dont want anyone detecting anywhere, so stupid they would rather it stayed buried forever even on the beach is very dodgy, they are practically no metal detectorists in ireland no shops sell them at all, everything has to bought from amazon uk etc, the beaches here must be full of loot waiting to be discovered lol.
