This was super helpful! I just bought a legend and live in Santa Rosa beach Florida so I mainly hunt the beach! The only problem I’m having is my legend is VERY chattery in all terrains. It was the same when I traveled to the northwest as the beach. Any tips on stopping that?

Well done! Excellently! I did not update my legend, and it appears that you do not use any of the updates functions. One thing you did not mention is sound volume, you can adjust the volume of each sound, factory setting of iron is volume 3 I think, I max it out to 10, I actually max out all 6 tones as I use 6 tones. I want to hear the iron loud and clear. As I back off round iron targets I sometimes get a grunt just before it goes silent, so it a no dig. Audio gain is about the best feature because it boost the volume of tiny or deep targets. I did this with my old fisher detector and it was about the deepest machine I ever owned! Problem is I was wasting to much time digging deep junk targets!! There is a lot of competition on the beach and if I see a big cut made over night I need to move fast and cherry pick signals. I bump up recovery speed to 5 so I can swing faster and most targets below a new cut are under 6 inches. One day I will try 60 tones as I hear that when you get accustomed to the sound u can I’d targets much better just by tone. Again well done!

How about ground balance I run my legend on Ground tracking it changes when I move from the dry to the wet and it seems to work pretty good. What’s your thought on that? Love your videos keep them.

@Gigmaster I haven't found anyone talk about if there's a difference between ocean and lake beach detecting and settings. Is there due salt vs fresh water?

I would use the same settings. Max sensitivity in fresh and probably md in Fresh?

Most of the time I leave ferrous on so I can hear heavy iron spots on the beach.
