Windows Phone 8 still looks sleek and modern for an OS made in 2012

Another nostalgia, and yet I still own this phone including the 625 and the 735. The last one that still functions in the family was the one that’s the 950XL except it was rebranded as Microsoft :( but it was still the legendary Nokia behind it. With that outstanding camera, that amazing performance as well it’s stability as well it’s efficiency which made the phone very competitive. Except what’s sad is the support behind it, but by far how snappy it was just made me fall inlove with it. Still have it placed somewhere safe and it still looks good for today even while it is many years old.

This is what I think of when I hear "cheap phone that ran well". It was amazing when it was released. I owned the Lumia 625, but the 520 ran just as well, and that was impressive. Nowadays we have Android Go and KaiOS for cheaper devices, but back in the day, Windows Phone was the real deal.

That was my first Lumia phone. It was a good little device. I loved the metro interface and always dark mode UI, but there were a few things I didn't like. First was the lack of a polariser (or Clear Black display) which made viewing in direct sunlight extremely difficult. Second was the hard and pointy corners of the device which dug into my palms. Third was the lack of gorilla glass. About three years after I first got my Lumia 520 I accidentally dropped my phone and shattered the display. In the end I bought a Luma 640 and that lasted beautifully for two years until Microsoft killed off Windows Phone. Now I'm rocking a Nokia 6 (2017).

this's my first lumia smartphone , and i love it , simple and look so nice

got my 520 in 2014 and it served me well with the Windows 10 preview and still does run windows 10 today.

ahh how I miss my 520 , the design was perfect , compact and beautiful , harderned like a tank and the performance was a blast , with 512mb of ram it could do far than any android , for instance far better than a lagsung s3
