I'm receiving 1000's of messages each day and I'm finding it impossible to find enough time to reply to them all.
I was spending more hours each week answering all the comments than I was making these videos.

We, the folk of KZread, really need You back, sir👍
You sir have the best Phone Repair tutorials on KZread. The best!!!
Bought a second hand 1020 off the bay, cracked screen, damaged camera housing scratched back looked ragged, looks like it'd been stood/stamped on, got the bits from Ebay new screen and complete new back, followed this slowly, took me about 40 minutes including getting everything laid out,, Was over the moon when I got it all together and it all worked, I did not cut the heat tape from the battery, warmed it up and peeled it off the board side but it worked a treat, Thank you for your disassemble tutorials, phenomenal stuff, keep em coming
Great Tutorial! Used your expertise with my lumia 920 and now with the battery replacement on the 1020. You deserve a medal! Keep up the great work!
I have this cell phone. Now I know the key features what is making this phone thick and the size of the image sensor. Thanks a lot. Was eagerly waiting for your disassembly of 1020. You are genius.
I love watching your videos even when I do not own some of these devices because they are all so unique, we'll thought out and intricately put together for the most part that I want to see what makes them tick. Your explaining all so calmly and fully is just icing! Cheers from Kansas City and keep the tutorials coming please.

@@LE55ONS How to make the payment
I managed to replace a broken usb port on my Lumia 1020. Its a slightly destructive process, however. For those attempting to replace it themselves, this is how I did it: Tools: - Small flathead screwdriver - paper clip - flush cutting side wire cutter (Google it, look at first image) - Super glue. I use Loctite 414. - Torx screwdrivers for case dis/reassembly Materials: 1x Nokia Lumia 1020 usb/microphone assembly. I ordered one off Ebay, since etradesupply won't sell a single component order that is only a few dollars. Estimated time: 30 min. Steps: 1. Follow LE55ONS' video until 6:18, removing the circuit board from the frame. 2. Face the side of the phone with the usb assembly away from you. 3. On top of the usb assembly there will be a small black rubber flap. Directly to its right will be a section of hard black plastic, epoxied to the case, and holding the usb plug down. Wedge the flathead screwdriver between the right side of the usb plug and underneath the hard black plastic, until the hard plastic breaks away. You should see a small slot that the usb plug is channeled in. 4. Now looking at the microphone, insert the flathead in between the case and the speaker (left of the mic), and push the case away far enough to pull out the microphone. 5. Using the flush cutting wire cutters, cut away the black plastic (part of speaker) holding down the left side of the usb port. 6. use the flathead screwdriver to shave away plastic from the speaker until you can remove the usb assembly. 7. Practice reinserting and removing the old assembly a few times before inserting the new usb assembly. 8. Remove the small rubber flap from the old assembly. You will need it for the new assembly. 9. Now to reassemble. Place the rubber flap on the new usb port, then install the usb port. 10. Then using the same technique in 4. to remove the microphone, insert the new one. 11. Using the paperclip, bend one end out to make a small stick. Put a small droplet of super glue on the end, and glue the left and right sides of the usb port. The glue will seep into the channels. Press fit for 30 seconds until the glue is partly cured, and the port is snug. Try plugging in a micro usb cable and see if the usb port loosens or wiggles. Reapply glue as necessary. 12. Reassembly the case as per LE55ONS' video. 13. Enjoy a working phone.

Thank you! The Lumia 1020 is a design marvel. I'm glad I could see how its put together. The camera module is huge!
Excellent video!! Just fix and old lumia 1020 and now it´s brand new. Still now one of the best cameras unbeatable 41 mega pixels.

awesome video, replaced my lumia 1020 housing in 15 minutes. Keep it up!
Very nicely done! It amazes me how well made this phone is and how repairable it is in comparison to many others.
Just finished replacing the battery on my unit. Thanks to this.
Well it worked for me. I manged to change my Micro USB with the aid of this video. A well done, very clear and concise instructional video. :-)

Hi+nicnepovim , where you buyed your flash? and how much it coast? Thanks a lot. (excuse my bad inglish)
Best repair video for the 1020 - nice job!
You need to make more videos, you are a good instructor on phone repairs and for ASMR
Thanks, just needed to reset. Got me back in business in no time!
Thank you. Successfully replaced my noisy main camera module without damage to components. Except that i had a little scratch at the battery and a little dent on the metal shield because i used too much strength without a thin enough tool to apply force at the correct direction. Half of the price to fix it myself compared to sending it for Microsoft service.
Hi, thanks I was able to use your videos to swap the screen and camera module from my old dead Lumia 1020 to the one I currently use.
Hey man I need to see a Nokia lumia 1520 video soon. All your videos are excellent.
The best of tutorials I have seen! Keep up the good work buddy :)
Excellent Video - Extremely impressed with your professionalism and expertise - Liked and subscribed !!!
THAT'S a good video!!! Very seldom to find such. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this video, it was great help for replacing my battery
Such an amazing person, you make it so easy! Thank you.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful and useful video! Kind regards and Blessings, MaxT
Thanks for the video. The best one I've seen. I've just replaced the main camera due to the famous squeaky sound of the OIS and it seems it's fixed. My question is: What is the copper colour sticker on the camera? Is it necessary? Because the replacement camera module did not have it. Thanks in advance
Many thanks for this video tutorial, very well done and extremely useful!!!
Very helpful when I had jammed a sim adapter into the 1020, that then got stuck. Thank you.
Excellent guide, it helped me replace my flash unit. A big thankyou. :)
Great video as always man! I've been waiting so long for this! Thanks so much :D
nice detailed video. Maybe I was just lucky but I was able to replace the headphone jack/secondary mic assembly without removing the main board. Pulling the main camera left enough room to pull it out, and the flex plug didn't seem near as fiddly/difficult to connect as the front camera one is. Do you think it would be possible, if one had to, to remove the mainboard and battery together so you don't have to cut the heatsink tape?
thanks for the video, because this video i´ve replace the display of my own 1020 ^^
Sooooperb, thank you so much for providing a detailed lesson for Nokia, Your R Awsome (and your camera as well)
amazing quality video and well explained, but the reason for watching today was not mentioned....the black antenna cable
Excellent video as per usual. It is really necessary to cut the heat sink tape if for example you wanted to put the mainboard and battery into a new case? Can the two pieces not be lifted out together?
Save my phone more than once great video well done!
Thank you so much, I actually need to replace my 1020 battery and they asked me 30€ for the operating hand.. I'm gonna do it myself !! :D
Офигенно сделано внутри, все четко, что то захотелось аж купить себе такую.
Thanks for the great video, unfortunately I cannot find any cases to fix the defect power button problem that are not only protection cases on the internet... Any ideas. Thx
Great video and calm voice! How easy is it to replace the power button etc. flex. Is it under the epoxy held frame?
You Rule man! These videos are awesome!
very well made! thank you! i replace my usb connector not easy! after this and rolling back to wp8.1 from wp10 my flash is not working do you have an idea on what to check? thanks👍
Great video, easy to follow along
looks that my rear camera need replacement, i've ordered one from e bay, and from the pict the module seems has no thermo gasket. do i need to stick the old thermo gasket from broken camera module to its replacement?
Hi, Your video has been really helpful, but do you know a way of removing the hard drive?
thx for the tutorials may i know how you know that this connector is for gps and this for x is there a website to see all the parts names on each phone?
When will you do an iPhone 5s tutorial? I haven't broke mine, but I've watched millions of yours, and there just pure amazing! And I have an iphone 5s, so it will just be great to watch!

I have a new case and screen sitting here for the 5s and hope to get hold of one soon..
Great video, thanks. The USB charging port connection is quite loose on my 1020, I have purchased a spare but is it possible to change it reasonably easily or is it bonded in with the loudspeaker? I don't want to crack (Not literally) the phone open if I can't get the job done. Thanks.
Thanks! Now -- did you ever repair a 1020 where the camera stops working? I haven't been able to find any documentation on why this happens or how to fix. I tried a new mainboard and replacement camera -- no luck. Had to get another phone but would love to have the 1020 back for the camera alone
Thanks mate! helped fix my power button issue :)
Dear +LE55ONS Thanks for making the detailed video. I've a question about the main mic (which is connected to charging port) replacement. Is it possible to replace the mic/charging flex cable or whole housing will be replaced? Kindly guide.
This has been very helpful, thanks a lot!
Good video. Do you have an idea why some or even all Lumia 1020's are heating up? Mine drains battery even if it's off and never lasts more then 4 hours (OFF). Is there a reason to suspect it might be a short somewhere on the board or the wireless charging connector flat cable section ? Why is it 210 K Ohm if you measure it. Have you any experiences on this power drain problem or know a way to extend the battery life without that leak ?
On the sim card reader, do you have a source to purchase one of these? My phone seems to not read sims, and there is a bit of corrosion on the inside as well. I am thinking the whole reader needs replacement but can only find trays. Its either that or finding a whole main board, though this is my only issue with the phone. Seen a number of similar instances reported.
Porque me recomendó ésto? Es de hace 7 años, tuve ese teléfono hace varios años. Un hermoso teléfono
Great disassembly video! Just got a question though. I noticed that you didnt remove the USB and Microphone flex. My Lumia 1020's USB charging port has to be replaced and I noticed the availability of the Charging Port Flex Cable Ribbon at etradesupply. Can the USB Flex be removed without taking off the battery and the main board? Thanks in advance!
This is going to possibly sound mad. However do you think I could take the internals and rehouse them in another case? I have 3 of these and have been toying with an idea to pop the internals in a go pro style case? As you can imagine I only have a need for the 41mp camera. I am planning to use the sensor on a special lightweight drone. Any advice would be great.
great video. do you know if it's possible to get the charging port out of the case? my 1020 has developed an intermittent charging problem. I have managed to obtain a replacement for a few £ but now it seems like it's part of the main body of the case and thus cannot be removed
What tools you are using to remove the t5 screws? My screwdriver is too small to unscrew it. Pls help me.
thanks for the video! your tutorials are awesome :)
hey, my sim card slot got stock, i have a nokia lumia 1020, reason being i let mini sim card frame (or maybe known as convertor) left inside and closed it. so i can't bring it out! was wondering if there is a way to take it out.
What about if the LCD still works fine, but the digitizer glass is shattered? That's mi situation and i can't seem to find a good vid on how to fix it.
Great Tutorial thank you very much
Do you absolutely have to cut the black heat sink tape. What if you were somehow able to save the tape? would the phone work as normal?
hi bought my Nokia lumia 2 years ago. The camera doesn't open now and the flashlight won't go off. should I just replace both or won't that help? what should I do?
Awesome Video! Thanks a lot.
How do you release the screen lock screw if its damaged and doesn't turn when using the T4 screwdriver?
Le55ons, thanks for you're great videos, they have been helpful. Are you going to upload any new videos any time soon?
Could someone please tell me where I could order a new camera housing piece (black circle on the back of the phone). Sorry if it has been mentioned before!
Le55ons, you have a fix for lumia 1020 stuck sim card adapter?
Do you know if it is possible to remove and replace internal memory?
Thanks .Save lot of time for me and money
Excellent Video Thanks
Thank you; splendid!
Nice video. What network are you on? I noticed you have the datasense app.
You're a class act. I have this nokia lumia 1020 with old pictures on it. But it's cracked. I'll be trying to do this. Have you got a shop in the UK?
hi there i have a nokia lumia 1020 and it needs repairing 1 the link between phone and pc died 2 i smashed the top screen 3 it went for a swim fully submerged in a full sink for an unknown amount of time could you have a look at it and give me a very competitive quote matt
Great tutorial!
your video very clear... what cam you use... plz...
another question, is the memory for the phone on the processor?
*****, great videos. How do you replace the USB connector? Ive disassembled the device, but the tightness of the connector's fit makes me cautious about prying it out. Are there clips, screws, and other precautions I should know about? Thanks, man!
Is there any way to backup something from the internal storage ?
Hi I removed the screen and put it back and after i found out that the camera button is loose and doesn't work properly can you please give me any suggestions to how to fix the camera button? thanks
Thank you! It was a pleasure replacing the battery with the help of this brilliant video! Would you happen to know if it is possible to replace the lights behind the Windows-key, back-key and search-key as well? My back-key seems a bit dim and my Lumia can never be too perfect! ;)
my camera grip does not work properly. when attached to the camera it just shoots continuously as long as it has power. can you make a teardown of it? much appreciated. your video is awesome!
