@@cameronkramer2367 Once you've died a few hundred times, you learn what to not do to keep living. The amount of times of died to stupid shit (like a wizard with a giga saw wand yeeting himself into me) is simply astounding. I finally won once after about 180 or so deaths.

Noita devs are insane! This game is so complex, I’m surprised with each new video!

I discovered something interesting that I haven't seen anyone cover yet. If you spray Berserkium on a medic in the Hiisi Base, they'll aggro and shoot rapid fire healing bolts that heal you for 10 hp per hit instead of the 5hp bolts they normally shoot.

You can have much more than that. In my current run right now I have 2170HP (might get more if I can reach other dimensions) but I am still terrified of dying. Death is still a very real possibility for me.

So in Allan Moore's Jerusalem, there is a painting called The Work, which presents angels as essentially carpenters maintaining existence. I've only read the first chapter, and can't say for certain that this reference is intentional OR meaningful, but if you're interested in the idea this would be a good place to start.

Well, the game is heavily based on alchemy and one of the goals of alchemy is transmutation such as turning lead into gold, which is actually the main purpose of the philosopher's stone: an object alchemists pursued that could turn any metal into gold. The journey or "the work" to find such an object or ability had no boundaries and perhaps extended to heaven and hell itself. Thus upon completing the work, everything turns into gold, and that's why i think all the works are related. They're all connected to this journey to turn not only metal, but EVERYTHING into gold. But then, why? Why go through all this trouble? Well we can argue that if you can turn anything into gold, then you can perhaps turn anything into anything, and one of the other beliefs of the stone, is that it could grant immortality. Now in-game, we become pretty much immortal, because in a world where everything is gold, what is there left to kill us than ourselves

The game loves to give you bad things and every single pixel loves to cause your death, yes, but there is also sometimes VERY good RNG that will make beating the game very easy sometimes. Persevere!

My first win involved cheesing the later floors with Invisibility, cuz there was no way in hell I was strong enough to get past the later enemies. It also helped that I got stainless armor and that other perk that removes stains faster. So yeah, that was a fun time.

I won just because I got a God-run, essentially Electricity and explosion immunity, freeze aura And staff was spark with trigger->doublecasting lighting with slow projectile+damage, double crit chance, more damage, and cast time reduction :D

the devs of this game apitamize the idea " we dont care if 99% of players dont see 99% of our game." it really is a rare breed, that really does reward it most dedicated and curious players.

This game has so much content thats just waaaay beyond my skill to get. I havent even reached hell yet. not by a long shot

Okay, nt I love this game even more. Though to be fair, in a game like this, things like that is not unexpected.

i came here mostly out of curiosity after learning there was a massive world in the game. after seeing you have 800 HP i now know i have a very very long way to go. I dont think i've ever had more than 150 before dying.

I've seen one such video, in which the guy didn't even understand how multicast spells and modifiers worked and just spouted misinformation for several minutes. So something like that could be useful, yeah.

It'll just turn the moon to booze before everything turns to gold. The entire purpose of the essence of spirits at the moon is to turn it to whiskey.

Hey, Fury! I accidentally figured out that if you keep digging/sending black holes directly down at each holy mountains (at around the water sources with the fishes), then when you reach the Temple of Art, at right next to the final portal that takes you to the boss, if you dig straight down through the lava and the rock, into hell, then you'll be on the top of the orb room in hell, or slightly to its left side. Maybe it wasn't covered yet, I don't know, I thought I mention it. Keep it up, you rock. Cheers!

One thing I am pretty sure is lore related is that one enemy that follows you but dashes backwards when too close and always has a wand. I say this because its body is just like the body of the witch, but without a robe.

I haven't even beaten the game yet, pretty new to it...so between your freakishly huge life bar, list of perks, and allllllll the things I didnt even know existed that you showed off in this one vid, I felt like I was having a stroke...in a good way, dont worry :p

Have you heard about the extra ending where you hack in all of the orbs (even unobtainable ones)? There’s yet another ending for gaining all of the knowledge.

I was able to get to the moon after defeating the boss and collecting the Salt, I turned the world to gold without needing any of the other essences from around the map. The only one I may have had was the essence of air from the moon.

I'm pretty sure that's been fixed now in the most recent version, however, the point of this wasn't to turn the world to gold - it was to turn the moon to void liquid (and also to whiskey, though void liquid is a LOT more interesting.)

I know very little about this game as I just bought it, I do know however that the "drunken moon" that was mentioned in this video, I found encapsulated into one gun. That simultaneously shoots out copious amounts of alcohol, water, and fire basically starting the entire screen on fire. Favorite weapon I've found so far.

this game became real fun when i installed the m16 mod.

I've actually done that already. There is glass cannon at the final holy mountain before the boss and I basically smooshed him with explosions before killing myself, ha.

Is there some way to accumulate wands and health and perks before you do all this or do you have to do an enormous grinding run and come back to the beginning before attempting these sidequests?

If you opt into the beta, you can download a cheat engine mod that gives you access to a lot of the unimplemented content, like dozens of other liquids and flasks, and access to custom wands. I think you'd find a lot of interesting stuff in there. Give "Creepy Liquid" a toss. Oh, and it lets you see what your seed's potion recipes are, which can lead to some pretty interesting ends. Lava can be one of the ingredients in a LC recipe, and I think you can turn that lava lake to it that way. Really interesting what's in and not implemented yet.

fun fact there is a skull in the EDR on the right wall problem is its above where the SECOND moon should be i hacked to get up there

I don't remember if I mentioned this already, but you can kick the medic Hiisi to anger them, and you'll get shot, but get healed instead, due to the medic gun the thing is holding.

I don't think I've seen anybody do this yet, but the tablets, when thrown, can easily kill enemies just like most other physics objects. And throwing things doesn't (currently, at least) break invisibility. So you can kill dozens of enemies without ever becoming visible.

the most difficult part is discovering wand spells work in a depth-first manner instead of breadth-first. if you have a double spell followed by 4 trigger spells, the double only fires 1 projectile. but that projectile makes another, and then that one makes one, then that one will make the last. This is because there is no break point (spell without a trigger) before you run out of spells. And because the double spell is trying to figure out one branch the whole time, by the time it gets around to the other branh there are no spells left. if you wanted to make a wand that shot 2 projectiles at once, but both of those projectiles would fire another, you would have to set it up like this: ( < T P T P. The double starts and finds a trigger spell, it then tries to put a spell in the trigger position. It finds another spell. this one doesn't have a trigger and is considered a break point. Branch 1/2 complete. Because there are still spells left, the double spell starts working on the next branch. We removed a T and P so we are left with T P in out spell stack. the same scenario happens as the first branch. Note that this is for a shuffle: No wand as everything is read from left to right. The most confusing thing about this is wands that cast multiple spells act as breadth-first.

I also find so confusing to when will modifiers apply, like, if I put a "Fire trail" Before a 2 spells, does it fire both with the trail or just one of them. If I put necromancy modifier does it apply to all projectiles or just one without visual representation ?

I hope they add this to the switch some day!

Yeah, I'm putting out a small video showing that soon. These videos (all the videos I'm making currently) take a long time to make though - this one took about 6 days of work, the glyphs one took over 60 hours, etc.

Try mixing the void stuff with the Midas stuff?

I gotta wonder what happens if you get the Spirits one with all the others at the ''end'' too. Anything interesting? Or too much of a pain to manage?

No, that's totally not why I didn't get it. It just doesn't do anything. The Essence of Spirits *just* turns the moon to whiskey. That's all. There's absolutely no reason at all to get it if you're just doing the "moon ending"/the only reason to get it is if you want to turn the moon to whiskey. That's all. It's just too far out of the way (it takes a good 10+ minutes to get it) to worry about. I've done this run about 12 times now, preparing for these final runs that I put in this video.

@@FuryForged I honestly figured, yeah. And I've gone to the bottom of the lake too, got up to make dinner and came back and I was still sloooooooowwwwly dropping. The booze-a-hol moon being the only thing it's good for is a little disappointing, but I guess there's still tons of other stuff to explore in the game still. Void liquid is Fungus (pink), toxid sludge, and acid you'll see the fungus disappearing into dark void pellets that fall downwards like leaves in the wind.

what happens if you have all 5 essences AND the prima materia?

I turned the world into gold, and then when I went into a portal, everything was restored again, so I didn't have to end my run. Was pretty cool as I loved the lightning rod I had. Sadly i did a new game anyway, and I never found that lightning spell again :(

The spell Destruction does not require anything to be unlocked, it seems. I just got it randomly in one of my runs, and it appeared even in the Holy Mountain shop in another run. Note that I haven't completed the Work before those.

Yeah, right now all of the spells from the orbs (and this) can appear immediately in any run. Eventually, this is most likely going to be the way to unlock Destruction (just as the orbs are the way to unlock Thunder Cloud, Nuke, Cement, etc.) because we can see this in the code. There's no need to "unlock" right now though.

This game feels like if you jumped into Fallout 3 expecting Washington DC but somehow after walking many hours you find yourself in Philadelphia. And then you keep walking till you hit New York. "Surely it stops here" you think as you reach the dilapidated border, but no. You continue into Canada and reach Montreal. There you find a working plane and fly southwest to Detroit. And it keeps going. It's hard to even fathom that all this exists in the game when all it gives you to start is a cave entrance and a minecart.

How do you even get these runs ? I can barely survive past the jungle

Get Glass Cannon and Explosion Immunity and an Explosive Projectile and you will quite easily kill everything.

Yessssssss.

You don't have to get all the essences to unlock the golden world. Just the Salt. You can kill the boss, too.

For the sky altar, you only need the salt, yeah, but for the moon ending, you need the essences.

Go to the temple pick up a perk then alt f4 out of the game and delete all the world files.Then reload into the game. Be careful not to move as your momentum is saved and you can end up in a wall. (Though if you do just jump and alt f4 and repeat world file deletion, and you will slowly get out). Once you reload into the game you can pick a new set of perks. You can do this as much as you wish.

Wow, I didn't even know about that. The save I'm using is actually from going through the extremely dense rock walls on both the far left and right sides of the world. There are parallel universes that stretch "infinitely" to both sides (just as the Work and Hell both extend infinitely above and below the worlds, respectively) - though going too far out will crash the game. At the end of the video, I was actually in one of these parallel worlds. That's what the "orb of corrupted knowledge" was. I just put that in there as a little Easter egg of sorts.

can u save and load games before dying ? am i missing something ? ? my top max health was 300 hp how those guys get 1300 hp ?

The same thing. I didn't even bother mentioning it in the video, but I should have since several people have asked. The Essence of Spirits is just so far out of the way and it only turns the moon to whiskey (which it still does very briefly with the prima materia as well, but then it quickly turns to gold.)

To make a healing potion and replenish health, otherwise at the end you had moments when the screen blinked red. After collecting the essences. (And yet - what will happen if you also collect the fifth essence with Salt? Just lay a tunnel to the side of it and thus quickly get to it)

You can open your inventory and right-click flasks to drink the entire thing in one swig. For healing, though, you don’t want to do that, since healing (Healthium and Lively Concoction) is extremely rare and a little goes a long way, so it’s best to slowly spray them out to conserve as much as possible. I should’ve made a note about this, since a lot of people are asking, but getting the Essence of Spirits only ever turns the moon to whiskey. It would’ve turned it to whiskey for a second before becoming gold. I didn’t think that warranted spending the approx. 10 minutes extra it would’ve taken to get it.
