after 10 years of this video ... this console game is still nostalgic for us

Reason why the PSone is so quiet is because it doesn't have a fan, it simply doesn't put out enough heat to even need one. All it has is a little heat sink :)

The clock sound is so relaxing

I never knew this existed until this is on my recommended 10 years later

That PS2 is an SCPH 50000 series console because the fan is very quiet. The 30000 series consoles have a much louder fan than the 50000 series PS2s. The 50000 series PS2s also read games faster than the 30000 series PS2s. I can also tell that that original Xbox was probably made sometime in November of 2001 (when the original Xbox first came out) -sometime in early 2003. This was when the original Xboxes produced at the time had very noisy Seagate hard drives. Which is why it's so noisy. As time went by they started using Seagate drives that are much quieter than the earlier ones and some of them even had hard drives made by Western Digital.

***** Not a problem. Here's another thing. The launch PS2 SCPH-30001s, (with the I-link port next to the bottom USB port) the later SCPH-30001s (with the I-link port next to the top USB port) and the SCPH-35001s (identical to the later SCPH-30001 model, but this model number is for the Gran Turismo 3 Aspec bundle) all have the crappy KHS400B laser. These lasers failed pretty often. Beginning with the SCPH-39001, KHS400C lasers were being used. They are way better.

I love thissss, I had traded my PS3 slim for an Xbox 360 with my brother sadly I broke it but I got a 360 E and the noise difference was insane... I have a PS2 fat and PS2 slim and the fan noise is significantly different!

The Wii has a memorable start up sound, and sound when you put the disc in.

thecomputerman100 The one he has is one of the 2001,2002 or the Early 2003 model. Get the Late 2003,2004 or the 2005 model because there the more reliable ones. The later ones are much quieter and less noisy. Only the 2001,2002 and the Early 2003 models are loud and noisy.

I miss the laser sound of the PS1 console when disc spins up...and WOW...that classic xbox is really noisy at idle...mine's pretty silent at idling, but it gets stupidly noisy when games are running, it sounds like the game is torturing the DVD reader, the laser head moving onwards and backwards so violently...

I noticed this is your only video you ever uploaded. How come you don't do upload videos anymore (according to what the description from your profile mentioned)?

So is that the old Xbox 360 model? And I am assuming you have a hard drive in that because of the sound.

I wish that ps1 games can work on every system after and of the playstation system just like I wish that regular xbox games can work on every xbox system as well... I still have games that from the regular xbox and games from the regular ps1 and im sure that others do too... There needs to be better modification to make each disc game work for all systems... The older systems can get too sticky and rusty so all cd's need to work for the rest of the ongoing systems as well... Or how about make all discs work for all systems... If not at least for the continuous alike systems

Something I find kind of funny is that my old Xbox was just as loud as the one in the video, but recently I bought a soft modded Xbox which is not only an older model than my Xbox was but it is also more quiet, the loudest part of it was the 80Gb hard drive that the previous owner put in it, which I later switch out with a 160Gb which is much quieter, so now its even more quiet than my PS2 slim which is really loud for some reason.

+JapandrifterHD You must have the launch PS3. Those are known to die after a few years. It's because of overheating. It's possible to fix, and can be fixed, but can also be difficult while you're at it, but it CAN be fixed. Maybe not permanently, but it can last a few extra years.

It's NXE if you know the sounds, specifically 8498 since this came out in january 2010, and 9199 came months later.
