Thanks so much! I have the same beast with LPG and want to get if off back to petrol. Such a crap careless conversion back in the early 2000's.

I like your posts there's not many other people out there with Prados, they are very underrated vehicle's, awesome for a cheap entry vehicle and a capable vehicle.

Yeah, there were a fair few but not too many, i didn't draw a diagram of my setup, but i think the bulk of it is part of the relay that switches the EFI off during lpg operation Take photos, multimeter is your best mate, unplug thing one at a time. Dont cut anything without making notes

@@NoelsysOutdoorshey mate just in the middle of removing mine does the hose from where you fill up the gas that comes from the tank let gas out if taken off i have the shut off valve for the one that runs to the motor but there no valve for the one that runs into the tank and i can’t take the tank off unless i remove the fill up line

Hey mate, great work thanks. Im about to remove an lpg system also. Did you find a way to drain the gas tank? Or even use it to run the bbq?

If you're lucky, you can dispose of them full at certain refuse centres, if thats not an option i would suggest the ol 90L bbq. Do not just air empty it as not only is it terribly dangerous its also a huge EPA fine. Thanks for watching hope this helps

yeah should be a water feed for warming the condenser to avoid condensation on the outside theoretically should should be able to basically bypass the gas condenser with a brass fitting

Hey mate, thanks for the video! Couple of questions, what was the reasoning did removing the LPG? I’m thinking of removing mine, I’m getting such bad fuel economy from bad tunes trying to balance performance of both types of fuel. Do you think removing and tuning the car for just petrol will help improve economy? Also on big road trips I am not even finding lpg anymore. How much is it going to cost to install a second petrol tank? 😊 thanks

Thanks for reaching out, cost of upkeep, efficiency, availability on remote trips, reliability theres a whole list of reasons to go back to petrol only but yeah id reccoment a retune if it is in your budget. Either way if you go the back to stock route or the long range route youll be better off in the long run IMHO Thank you for the comment

Regarding the cost thats up to you, if you pay someone to do it, it could be expensive to fit a long range tank, but if you just go back to stock the second hand parts are hard to find Personally since i did most of the work myself i think all in i so3nd about 1500 on all the parts and tools to fit a ling range tank myself, took me about 10 hours of labour so theres about 1200 for a shop to do it plus whatever the modification certification may or may not cost in your area Always best to get quotes from reputable mechanics and see if its in your budget

@@NoelsysOutdoors thanks for getting back! The lack of LPG is seriously frustrating on big trips, my petrol tank is only 60L. Also my LPG consumption has almost halved, I get 200km when I used to get 350-400 per tank. My mechanic said the quality of LPG has dropped drastically. Another reason to change.

Hey mate I was just wondering if I should give this a go, I’m on my Ps and tryna save a bit of money to convert back to petrol but don’t have much mechanical experience, should I try it myself or get it done professionally?

If youre confedent with spanners then the tank is really easy to do. The hard part about converting back is the electrical side of it all As for safety i reccomend finding the gas switch off tap on your tank or run it til empty first. And make sure your battery is disconnected Im under the impression that all gas installations can be a bit different but if its the same as mine then its realistically a pretty easy job Thanks for the comment

That being said, if youre not confident you can, then seek professional help at least for the removal. It may only cost labour and that may only be a couple hours.

@@bvmtb6230 id say take google sears the different relays for your lpg install. the hardest part about an lpg install is theyre all done slightly differently, mostly electrically. where yours may have been done professionally with proper wiring looms and labelling, mine appears to have been done in someones backyard. if you get stuck a multimeter is your best friend
