Funny how a band / musician can have such an impact on your life. In 93, I was an 18 year old Manchester lad loving the house music and rave scene. I never knew that oasis would happen and impact my whole outlook on life. Some may mock, some may understand, but if you know…you know.

Sean Crainey i honestly think that Noel sings better than Liam with all the Acoustic sonvs like this version of sad song (originally a bonus track on the 1st studio album "Definitely Maybe" & dvd but its an electric version on the cd n both on dvd so then er Talk Tonight,The Masterplan,Its Better People,Half the world away,Wonderwall to name but a few pal n gotta mention D'yer Wanna be a Spaceman...great acoustic track!!

Awesome bro. I’ve always came back to this live recording many many times in WOW 29 years now as it was the first time I’d heard this song before & i was completely mesmerised by this performance after just getting into Definitely Maybe & I watched This Masterpiece & I was even more of an Fan which has lasted 29years on now. Wonderful Gorgeous Song. That’s as good as anything written in those 29 Years. Noel’s Live performance is the best I’ve ever saw him play Sad song & it’s as good today as it was then. Legendary song writer of our times. ✌️👍✌️

I love Noel's 90's singing voice...his voice has gotten deeper now and while he's still a good singer, he just doesn't have that sort of melancholic tone that makes listening to his 90s acoustic a pleasure. Long live the chief!

But Liam sold the band with his energy to make them big, but I prefer Noel singing...his acoustic concerts are better than the stadium concerts. When I was younger, it was vice versa for me, but I have better discernment now I’ve grown up, I appreciate art more because I understand the subtlety of great music.

whats nuts is that even then, a young band on their first album, their first jools appearance, the guitarist chose to and was allowed to play and sing a solo song that wasnt even really available to the majority of the uk audiences, being only on the vinyl album version in the UK. the they closed the show with a random b side cover version of a beatles track. why the hell didnt they do one of their singles instead? again, nuts. its like everyone knew even then what a monster they were to become

@Mark Kelly You've hit the nail on the head Mark. How can someone who freely admits he hasn't had a lesson in his life, can't read music and just started playing on a cheap guitar that his mum got out of a catalogue and paid for it weekly. How can a guy like that turn out those genius melodies and heart wrenching words, that I feel could stand alone as poetry. To think of him alone on the top deck of a bus, going to the cinema and he scribbles on a cig packet, the lyrics for Don't Look Back in Anger. Genius doesn't seem good enough a word to describe his skills. Maybe he's blessed to delight generations. Also love the fact that on his recent family holiday, at there villa in Ibiza. They go out for a meal, nothing fancy just the kind of place the likes of us would go to. Someone tells the owner who he is. So he begins to play wonderwall and the entire restaurant stands up and sings it to him. He looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him up, but even his wife Sarah filmed it. What a man!!!

Sing a sad song In a lonely place Try to put a word in for me It's been so long Since I found this place You better put in two or three We as people, are just walking 'round Our heads are firmly fixed in the ground What we don't see Well it can't be real What we don't touch we cannot feel Where we're living in this town The sun is coming up and it's going down But it's all just the same at the end of the day And we cheat and we lie Nobody says it's wrong So we don't ask why Cause it's all just the same at the end of the day We're throwing it all away We're throwing it all away We're throwing it all away at the end of the day If you need it Something I can give I know I'd help you if I can If your honest and you say that you did You know that I would give you my hand Or a sad song In a lonely place I'll try to put a word in for you Need a shoulder? well if that's the case You know there's nothing I wouldn't do Where we're living in this town The sun is coming up and it's going down But it's all just the same at the end of the day When we cheat and we lie Nobody says it's wrong So we don't ask why Cause it's all just the same at the end of the day Don't throw it all away Don't throw it all away Don't throw it all away Don't throw it all away Throwing it all away Throwing it all away Throwing it all away Throwing it all away Throwing it all away You're throwing it all away at the end of the day

@@KudosCultureCartel Thanks for responding Daniel, it was kind of ironic really, I lost my partner recently and don't have many people to talk with, not that I feel like it. So I have just immersed myself in music. It's kind of the only thing that helped with the pain. So to stumble on this so very apt little beauty. Then to find that you had taken the time to post the lyrics, was great. I find that having the lyrics helps me feel more involved in the song. My all time fave is Master Plan, there is a vid on Y T where NG is playing with an orchestra and an incredible guy playing a harmonica. I shudder Evey time I hear it. You've probably seen it but it's the look on NG's face, a huge grin. I have heard him say that he thinks it's the best thing he's written, so far! Beautiful song this. Softly sung and softly strummed. On a 12 string no less. People will say there are technically better guitarists, and they’re right - but this - this is mega. Great track.

Why to people do that there's better guitarist it's not about that it's about the lyrics you don't need to be a wizard to be a good musician

@@danniedwards5750 To me oasis proves that the quality of the melody and chords are by far the most important, lyrics and riffs etc are just icing on the cake - skilled melody writing made a lot of the gibberish noel wrote feel like it came out of the bible
