Waited all these years for Noddy Holder to be on this is your life and it came true for him..well deserved for a great front man of Slade..well done Nod...
I was there at Sheffield City Hall in 1972. Slade supported by Thin Lizzy and Suzi Quatro. Nice to see the Greats from the 70's. Best Music era ever. Nod's an absolute legend
I was born in 62, I grew up loving Noddy and Slade. This was a real trip down memory lane, absolutely loved it.
Watching this in 2022 -sad -time passes far too quickly
I'm happy I watched this, didn't hear much of my Great Uncle Graham Swinnerton, really happy to have heard his voice and seen his face. I know lots of folk will lie about this shit, but I ain't. I currently live in one of their old houses, my grandfather is Grahams brother and my grandfather is still kicking it and still talks about the Slade band and how they'd always visit the Pub he managed called the Trumpet. Happy to have seen this. Rest in Peace Graham
beautiful, beautiful man and what a family. 100% love this man .proudly say I am a fan . I only 57 years old, Stay alive
Absolutely brilliant, a fantastic trip down memory lane. I loved Noddy and Slade

Mrs Merton, Fluff and Cheggers! Gone but never forgotten! And as for Neville himself what a legend!
I smiled through all three parts
I went to see them in Manchester in the seventies the best live act ever. I was deaf for two weeks.
The first official duty of King Charles III should be to knight this man.
Slade stopped touring in 85 but recorded 2 more albums and had their last hit in late 91
As polite as ever, but he just towed the line for the common good,,forever the gentleman,,,,,legend,
Was at the Town Hall Birmingham to see Slade , Suzi n Thin Lizzy great night great times 👊✌🍻

RIP? So sorry to hear this... I wasn't aware :(
From my home town Walsall. Saw them loads at local venues and Walsall Town Hall any times. I used to drive past his mom and dad's house on my way to work for years. I went past one winters morning just before Xmas and Merry Xmas everybody came on the radio. It was strange to think I'd just driven past the house where that eternal song was written, in possibly the bedroom window I'd just looked up to. Surreal.
what a group they was bring back the 70s
best music ever
BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO Mr. HOLDER!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I miss watching this is your life , I watched it all the time
The greatest complement ever: "He was a regular guy..."
The best, the BEST, This Is Your Life I have ever watched. Loved Slade back in the day, still do. Yeah, LOVED this. Thanks for uploading.
Such a really nice and warm person
We grew up with Noddy and Slade in Australia .....got all the best chicks if ya put the needle in the groove of any Slade record at high school parties😃😃😃😃😃😁😁😎😋
Noddy's wife, lovely lady that she no doubt is - seems a million miles away from the showbiz circle. Perhaps that's why their relationship works so well?
Love it, PROUD 💪👍🇬🇧💯👍🗣️ 👁️💥👁️🤩😍✌️💓🧐
Mrs H 🇬🇧 .... SLADE made my childhood..😉
what a great lad noddy is
Loved this man since 1969
Oh yeah this is rocknroll!
nice to see jim come forward and take the applause with nod at the end. a brilliant songwriting partnership - even though he seems to be a real grumpy sod! nothing like nod who, i can confirm, is one of life's REALLY good guys...
A great group of the 70's I still have my Slayde album, I'll have to get a record player though! thanks for sharing the video I've never seen this!.

Noddy baffles me. I read his autobio and the writing was so conceited and yet every time I see him in interviews and hear people talking about him it is nothing but great. Whatever, Slade are one of the greatest bands ever and he has easily one of the top voices.

@@johndearden7931 wasn't sure if you meant to reply to my comment or you were making your own comment and pressed reply instead? But ....ive not read his book/s maybe it just came across as conceited it could have been what the publisher instructed him to write it as? he seems quite humble though; but why not be a bit proud of what 'they' did as a band and his talent? Nice to be recognised than not :)

I was basically highlighting what you said about him being gracious. I read a lot of autobios ( including my own ) and a few 'stars' write nothing but their own self praise ( Kenneth Williams etc )and others like David Niven only make fun of themselves. Either way, I think Noddy writes great songs.

Him and Noddy are both very comfortable financially but Dave and Don were out there doing it to make a living well into their late 70's.
So glad. You found us... mmmm.......

Maybe it's not so much that as people are just so used to the flamboyant stage persona, that it's unnatural to see him just quiet and humble.
@SMSJSC

Agreed, he doesn't look his happiest here. Maybe he just couldn't be bothered with it.
A lot of stage people are actually quite shy.i think that Sometimes plays a role with drugs or alcohol.dutch courage.NOT ALWAYS.
@HardWarUK I think your spot on ! ..that sounds logical ..its also a hell of a shock - too much to take in one hit ..but yeah , well spotted sir.
👍👍👍
Poor Noddy! But hopefully he's not as anti-social as I am, so he might have liked it eventually? Still, a year or ten afterwards, it might make for some good memories! :)

What a dreadful show this was. A procession of characters, each with a story to tell and none of them given time to tell it.
If it wasn’t for T.Rex they would have gotten no were, they like others jumped on the Glam band wagon. Noddy is a top bloke down to earth, never liked the Lea fella.

Don't talk bollocks
Sad that Noddy and Jim, the two writers of all the hits, haven't spoken for over 20 years....there is no chance of a reconciliation apparently....none whatsoever .
