I have this exact fan mounted onto a cable modem/Wi-Fi router as it does keep things cool and quiet and it's even quieter when you use one of Noctua's resistors.

Have you ever tested a Teucer branded FD200 or any of their other case fans before?

Perhaps worth noting, unlike the brown version I don't think this comes with the rubber anti-vibration screw replacement mounting things included. If you want those, and depending on the color you want, the price can vary. The black ones are more than twice the price of the green ones currently on the Canadian site. I did see one review saying the fan sagged due to the weight when using those mounts, not sure if regular screws are preferable. I've the MasterCase H500, and I feel like the included fans are worth replacing with quieter/long-life fans. Good video.

The chromax-black fan only comes with the Anti-vibration pads, not the inserts (screws).

I have Montech Air X case. I am still undecided whether to swap out my front fans. I have only had a Noctua CPU cooler in the past, but I was definitely impressed with the silent fan. £70 for two fans is alot to think about though.

I think it's too much investment for just some fans, keep the fans you have now.

My case has only one 200mm intake fan in the front (corsair 600T). So, I'm thinking about the fan that you presented (Noctua NF-A20) and Thermaltake Pure 20 DC. I noticed that, according to manufacturers, Noctua NF-A20 has a CFM of only 86 (at 18dB), whereas Thermaltake Pure 20 DC has a CFM of 130 (at 28dB). Do you think that the CFM rating of Thermaltake is BS or is it realistic considering the higher dB output? 86CFM seems a little low for a singular intake fan. Thanks.

I wouldn't even trust Thermaltake with their specifications. Noctua has a history of development of products, that's why their bearings are considered to be the best in the industry.

  • @Atrumoris

Thermaltake is a company that does not deal in BS, I can attest to that. That being said Pure 20 really does have a higher CFM, one big difference between the two however is their life expectancy. Pure 20 is expected to last about 30000hrs, while A20 will keep spinning even after 150000hrs, that's over 17 frickin years of continuous work. That's where the difference lies.

The CoolerMaster H500 series takes x2 200mm fans in the front and one in the top by the way. They're built for it and even include them in the front

@@TechLegend-com I like them. They move a lot more air for less effort which means they're more quiet. I'm torn about putting one in the top of my case as exhaust though as I don't want negative pressure. I should be ok though with just one in the top as the front has x2 of them for intakes. There's the 120mm exhaust at the rear too

I have Coolermaster H500 (not P or something else, just h500) and yesterday i installed two NF-A20 chromax fans to front panel of my case without issues. You only need M3 type screws with 35mm length (optional : maybe bolt nuts to make it tighter). I don't know why Noctua doesn't provide M3 35mm screws with the fan ! Also their website says it's not compatible with H500 which is not true. I tested and %100 gurantee it's compatible if you're going to use it for front panel.
