That is one tight, funky band! What a feel and the drummer really driving them along! Fantastic performance all round!
Bobby Womack underrated
Also, in 1974, I GOT TO SEE BOBBY AT CARTER BARRON IN WASHINGTON,DC !!!!!!!!!!!! What a Performer AND What a BAND!!!! I had 2nd Row seats and got to see the Whole the show.
Bobby Womack in his prime wanna see the midnight special where he host
So cool I'm almost frozen just watching it!
GREAT live version by Mr. Womack. I didn’t know he did this live b4.
THIS IS THE BOBBY WOMACK I got to see Valentines night, Feb. 14th, 1973 at OHIO UNIVERSITY, ATHENS OHIO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A BAND AND THEY BLEW THE RAFTERS DOWN. WHY I AM POSTING THIS, IS BECAUSE SOMEBODY, SOME WHERE HAS GOT TO HAVE ON FILM, THE SHOW "IN CONCERT" THAT BOBBY HOSTED ON OCTOBER 12TH,1973. Everyone who reads this that if it is ever on YOU TUBE, You'll NEVER FORGET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ON THAT SHOW, HE PERFORMED "COMMUNICATION" and the BEST VERSION OF "I CAN UNDERSTAND IT" AT THE END OF THIS SONG , THE ENTIRE HORN SECTION, AS THEY LEFT THE STAGE, ALL STARTED SPINNING THEIR HORNS AND THE CAUGHT THE STAGE LIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CROWD WENT NUTS!!!!!!!!!!

Great performance by Bobby Womack and his band! Nice seeing this video clip of tv show Midnight Special!
Very few people understand how good this man was. Power, skill, feeling, control, spirit. He had it all. His best friend was Sam Cooke. Bobby was as good if not more than Sam. Nobody will agree, but my eyes and ears have always told me so…

Bobby definitely had it over Sam, but don't tell nobody.

Not 100% sure but I think that's Jimmy Johnson on the Les Paul and Tippy Armstrong on the Strat. Muscle Shoals studio musicians.

Crazy thing is....this guy and band was never super popular back in the day, but if somebody does something similar to this nowadays they are considered other worldly 😅
