Nobody Told Me

This isn't a video about tips and tricks for new riders. KZread has lots of that already, done by people much smarter and better skilled than me. This is about three things I haven't heard done to death by motovloggers that I wish I'd known sooner.

    This is poetic. I have just gotten my Scout Bobber a month ago, after 6 months of waiting, and everything you just described I still feel it everytime I take my bike out, the honeymoon phase with my bike is still going strong and like you said, it makes you fall in love with life all over again. I feel like I just joined a big family of people I don't even know but I feel safe with somehow. Love your videos, good luck with your new job. Hope you'll be posting more soon ! Cheers

    Ay ay ay wait just a damn minute, don't do this, don't give me hope, I feel numb, not depressed just numb, and I've been feelin like this for about 2 years now and about 3 months ago I decided I just randomly wanted a motorcycle and hopefully tomorrow if not text Saturday I'm gonna go order an Indian Scout Bobber as my first bike and it's a 2 month wait but don't make me want this more than I already do lol

    @@bestman3960 That's great to hear mate, motorcycles made me feel alive again. I hope it does the same to you, riding a motorcycle puts you on full alert at all times, for both trying to survive the insanity of public roads and from the feelings you get with an engine screaming between your legs, a loud exhaust rumbling behind you, the wind hitting you, being exposed to the elements, etc... 9 months later I'm still absurdly in love with my Scout Bobber, it's a blast everytime I ride it and spend time with it, and therefore with myself. Coming back home is just a feeling of "fulfillness", I feel whole, happy and peaceful. Nothing, absolutely nothing made me feel this way before and I've had my share of passions/sports/etc. Cheers!

    @@shark2075 thanks for the advise homie, one last thing tho, should I go for the Scout Bobber Sixty or regular Scout Bobber? Imma be honest it's my first bike and I'm not exactly rich so the smarter choice in terms of money would be the 60 but I'm mainly concerned about getting used to the 60 too quickly since I've always been a fast learner with everything I've done, that and the chrome pipes, I've been told I can order black for the 60 but I keep seeing a bunch of chrome and I really don't want that

  • @shark2075

    @shark2075

    Жыл бұрын

    @@bestman3960 I would strongly suggest the regular one, 60 is a smaller engine and has a 5 speed gearbox only. Pretty sure you can find used regular bobbers for less than 11k with not too much mileage, the chrome heatshields can always be changed or repainted. That said, whatever your choice is, you'll have to respect the bike's power if it's your first bike. It's a great bike for starters, IF you respect it and don't do anything crazy, and ride smoothly. It handles really easily and it's a reassuring/safe bike since it's very low. Hope that helped, don't hesitate if you have more questions !

    After watching this video twice, I have to say this is the kind of guy you actually want as a friend. I think I’ve watched all of your videos today actually lol. I’m actually thinking about getting in to motorcycling now that I’ve moved out of Chicago. It scares me because I lost my brother to a motorcycle accident and my dad has had plenty of them. I do honestly think it’s time to take the MSF course. I don’t know if you took the MS of course but with your style of communication and video it might be nice to maybe have a video on what to expect and your personal take on the matter. Thank you for making these videos. I will be showing this one to my wife when she gets home lol.

    I’m a filmmaker and this is more cinematic than most of the “films” I see, the way you shot a shot of spider when you said how small we are in a huge world, the choice of music, the ride footages. This is “Cinematoc” good story❤ I literally almost had tears at the end. You have a gift for filmmaking, please keep it up, I never rode a cruiser, I only rode a small daily bike of my grand father and I didn’t even have the license for that. Recently I thought of having a daily car since my main car will be used by my wife to pickup kids from school and to tuition classes I need another vehicle, I thought why not get a cruiser since I’ve been dreaming to get one when I was young. This make me feel like I should get it soon! Shall see how, anyway will keep watching your videos!

    Thanks for the video- I’m 47, lost my dad last year, we talked for 30 years about getting a couple bikes, never happened due to, you know life and stuff. This week walked into Indian where I live in San Diego and bought a scout rogue- I have some experience with motocross and hopped up scooters, but nothing like a scout. It’s a beautiful machine and I, as a new road rider have very health respect for the bike- your right though, thus far on my limited “getting to know you” phase, she talks to me. She definitely wants to dance but we are just doing a little 2-stepping for now. Anyway, thanks for the insight and I appreciate videos like yours that speak to how I feel both before the purchase of my new bike and now after-

    I have nothing that I could add that would describe it any better. Perfect. I had street bike when I was younger. I haven’t had a motorcycle in years but just recently bought a 2019 smoke white bobber because I missed the feelings you described. I get out and I forget about the rest of the world. There is no stress, who cares about work, it’s just me, my bike and the road and I love every second of it. I’m on mine every chance I get. If I can find a reason to leave the house on it, I’m gone. There’s nothing else like it.

As a proud owner of a 2019 Indian Springfield in gray and burgundy, I highly recommend the Springfield as the next step if you hanker for a larger tank and fewer stops between fillups. I don’t like to travel, but I LOVED that trip. I want to do it again next year, or to another destination. I think my motorcycles may have saved me from depression during COVID. Bro, I don’t even know how to explain what you and your videos mean and did for me at a time when I was rock bottom. I had no idea that where I was at in life would be temporary, a spot in time of brief disappointment which felt like my life would never change, but it did I went through a life change. I lost everything home, job, and friends. Went out to the countryside with my mom who had compassion on me and helped me out. I got back on my feet within a year. But sometime in the middle of that year I remember I was running through some videos on KZread and that’s when I hit this video about how getting a bike changed and impacted your life, bro I broke down and I was watching your video intently.Something clicked I remembered all the times I had thoughts about getting my own bike and how it would feel to be on the road and where I would go. Well in the middle of 2023 I started a new career and got my class M license, around the beginning of September I went to a Indiana dealership and looked around at the Bobbers, I felt “it” and instantly fell in love with the bike two weeks later I drove out of the dealership with my baby. You helped me find my spark again and it started from running into your vid which I do believe that I was truly meant to see. I sincerely wanted to say “Thank You” so much your videos encouraged me in a time of my life when I needed it the most and had nothing more than the shoes on my feet and clothes on my back. You gave me something to look forward to. I hope wherever you at in this point in time and life you’re doing well and that you are in good health big blessings to you for all that you did. I’m from Texas as well I call New Braunfels home if you read this and maybe if you’re in the neck of my woods I’d like to ride along with you and also shake your hand, thanks again and take it easy my friend

    A little bit of poetry! Thank you for putting words on my feelings... I'm a rookie rider (2 years), and what we call in France a "motard du dimanche" (that is literally a "sunday rider"). I love riding on the little roads in south-east of France. And the more I ride the more I think that a cruiser will best fit my feelings on the road: no need for speed. The Indian Scout (bobber or rogue I do not know yet) will suit me perfectly

    Man, that is one heck of a video. Love it. I haven't gotten my scout rogue sixty yet. But looking forward to it. Also, I'm a first-time rider. Still debating 100 horsepower or the 78. If anyone have any suggestions for a new rider, im all ears.

    You mentioned doom and gloom. I’ve been going through a pretty rough patch for a while now and being only 22 I got tired of rotting hopelessly in bed. I got me a sportster just a bit ago cuz I thought hey if I crash at least it’ll be fast. But after being on it with all the points you just mentioned, I truly think that that bike is gonna save my life.

    I remember my first street bike...it was a zx9r that wasnt stock. I remember id ride out of the city at night time hit the back roads and just fly. That feeling of adrenaline and almost like flying a fighter jet right above the ground. Nothing comes close to thoes magical feelings you have on your first bike.

    I really want to get a scout and most videos I watch say to change most of the things on the bike to make it better? Is it really not a good bike from the factory? Am I better off looking at like the FTR?
