Sometimes the man you don't notice is the most dangerous of all. Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, The Post, Nebraska) stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch's long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (famed Russian actor Aleksey Serebryakov, Amazon's McMafia)-and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.

@KGB - Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti John Wick had actual emotional impact that pushed it beyond just a "comic book action movie". This one was just "super badass action hero guy comes out of retirement and does stuff, cus he was bored with normal life." It started really strong and the bus scene gave the impression that this would be a more grounded take on the John Wick trend, in the same way Die Hard was to the 80s action hero movies, but they completely dropped that when he casually swept through a an entire hit squad.

Then enter a bunker, and use the escape hatch. Continuously locking more and more elaborate doors with many, many locks. Then after 30 minutes of only this, the veteran finally locks himself into a bank vault. And right before the credits roll, hutch places his hand on his shoulder from behind.

You can tell that that old vet was also probably the biggest badass in the store before he realised who Hutch was, which is why the other guys are absolutely horrified he immediately ejects himself out of the situation once he understands the danger. The other two guys in the back were big but out of shape, and the store clerk was intimidating but brass knuckles are the tools of a thug, not a service guy, so it's likely the Desert Storm vet was the only guy in the store with any real combat experience outside of a street fight or two. The other three dudes in the store probably think of the desert storm guy as a real badass, maybe even a legend if he tells them war stories regularly, so when HE gets scared and immediately locks himself behind a metal door I'm certain everyone else was soiling their pants.

I like how they made it realistic, like he’s not just an absolute landslide, a lot of people I’ve talked to about this scene on the internet think he’s weak because they think those movies where the guy is an even match against 50 Russians, this guy is realistically overpowered to a goated level

Whether it's military, first responders, or others in service roles, they all play such a crucial role in our society. In Hold'em Poker (in which each player is dealt two 'hole' cards -- which are cards unseen by other players until a final showdown), 7-2 unsuited is pretty much the worst possible hand you can get (you can't get a straight with them, you're unlikely to get a winning flush, and they are the lowest non-connecting cards in the deck, which are easily beat by higher cards and he got it tattooed on his wrist (where a hustler would hide cards). So the interpretation of it is, imo, that if you see this tattoo you see a 7-2 in your hands, meaning that by meeting this person you just got dealt the worst possible hand by them. You are best off never meeting them.
