Wow!! Look at all the stuff you're getting accomplished. The 🐥chicks are in their forever home and the garden bed rows are done. Plus, you've started the front boxes. Great job 😊

I love baby chicks. Its about time for me to get more as my hens are older and not laying to well.

The cycling out is hard when you raise them as working animals and not pets. Good luck!

@@afargreenhomestead I'm pretty attached to them so I'll give them a good life until their time comes naturally. 😀

Did your house come furnished when you bought it? Noticed some lovely antiques. Also what are the breeds of the chickens you purchased?

It didn't. I've been having fun collecting them from thrift stores and marketplace. The chicks are Barneveld, Sussex and Jersey Giant

Great video. Have you ever used perlite? I use it as well as vermiculite. A 4 cubic foot bag on Amazon is $38.00. Happy chickens and I so love your kitty cats!

I have! It works well, but again, for this volume of soil, it's cost prohibitive. Next season I may mix some in as part of the refresh process. Thanks for the tip!
