I beat the Blackout again! (In Greenwich, London)
What is the Blackout competition?
3 random members of the audience have each a card and can object to your comedy by raising it! If you get 3 cards, all lights go off and you have to leave the stage mid-routine!
Here I play it relatively safe so I can win by getting to the 5 minute mark. The competition is the gateway to longer spots on their weekend gigs.
The weekly competition is hosted by Up The Creek comedy club in Greenwich, London, England.

One of the funniest Euro centered jokes, is from Yes, Minister when Hacker is charged with implementing a Brussels ordered national ID scheme. He says something like "The French will ignore it, the Italians will be too chaotic to implement it, the Germans will LOVE it. It's only the British who will resent it!" 😅

Reminds me of a line in one of the first virtual videos I saw on KZread, during the Iraq war, where we learned that General Patton had actually survived and was now addressing troops in the then-current War on Terror. Criticizing a number of political leaders of the time, he said that if such people had been in charge during his day, then "...I would be speaking to you right now in German, and this world would have a serious shortage of Jews".

Patton had no qualms about turning on the WW1 "Bonus Army" vets just wanting a fair deal after being swindled by Wall Street on the war bonds they had been tricked or shamed into buying. Patton did a cavalry charge on them! Patton was a glory seeking, egotist who cared about George first, his men and country came a distant second. He was FURIOUS with Bill Mauldin for drawing cartoons that showed the plight of the GI and not some Hollywood hype. It made "his troops" look bad. even though the troops LOVED Mauldin's cartoons. Selfiish, narcissist.

@@chemistryofquestionablequa6252 That's one of the most disturbing responses I've seen. Normally, Hitler is considered so toxic that any mild comparison of a political opponent to him is considered to be a low blow. The aforementioned KZread video didn't suggest that politicians of the time liked Hitler or in any way resembled him, but just that under their leadership we would have been too weak to defeat him, and even that was considered to be quite the insult. Please tell me that I have just misread your post, and that you were not saying that the prospect of a Third Reich victory "sounds good" to you.

@@jeremykraenzlein5975 you didn’t misread it at all. You should look at the time period by studying contemporary sources, you’ll find that the majority of what you’ve been taught in school or in books written after around 1950 either greatly twists the truth or outright lies.

@@jeremykraenzlein5975 looks like my previous reply was deleted by KZread. You didn’t misread my comment at all. I would recommend studying the time period using contemporary and primary sources. You’ll quickly find that what you’ve been taught in school and read in books published after around 1950(for some, as late as the 1970s for other publishers) either is a distortion of the truth or outright lies. As for the concept of making everyone speak German, that’s just fiction. There was never any intention to do that.

@Anglo Italian Comedy, you need to do a long stay here in Branson, MO - the Las Vegas for wholesome Americans with traditional Christian values! Your humor will be an absolutely HUGE HIT here! Comedian Yaakov Smirnoff built a theater and a great life here. Missouri was the first state in the USA to immediately outlaw all abortions after Roe v. Wade was overturned. All abortion clinics had already left two years previously due to lack of demand. The beauty of the Ozarks is so... it's not just the pastoral hills and small valleys, it's the people. The sort of folks who never went into industrialized agriculture and still produce or buy from neighbors and farmers most of their own food. What was an economic necessity is now a cultural lifestyle choice for many here. Drivers wave as they pass each other on our small, winding beautiful roads here. People leave you alone, but will always help when you need it. You can overhear people having conversations about theology and religion in the restaurants, diners and taverns here. "Come and see".

Thanks for watching and for the feedback. I haven't heard anything similar from Jimmy Carr. And I must say, the Brits (or the Americans) not being good at learning languages is a common comedy territory. For example, Simon Evans says: "We wouldn't have learned German. We'd have just spoken loudly to them." Or Alistair Williams says: "If you look at our history, you'll see the Brits lost many wars and learned nothing". So I think as long as the jokes/punchlines aren't the same, it is a legitimate joke.

Idk, but I do know that one of the most unfunny things in the world is what the Hamas rape squad did to those poor victims they attacked when they went on their rampage on Oct. 7th. Most surviving witnesses to it have had to be hospitalized against suicide attempts - they are beyond traumatized. May we each and all repent of our self-willed path and turn ( aka repent) to God, receive redemption, healing and eternal, abundant life in Christ Jesus/Yeshua. This life is soon over for each of us, and very soon for life here as we know it ( the prophecy of Israel being back in the land again, from all over the world, has come to pass. Another soon will, which says " the generation who sees these things will not ( all) pass away before I come again" " When you see these things begin to happen, look up, for your redemption draweth nigh" ( as in, the physical fullfillment of our already obtained spiritual redemption from the moment we surrender to our great Creator, King, Savior). A 7 year time of God dealing with all the abounding evil in the world, and a major wake up call for all who'll let it do that for them, is coming. Plan to go with Jesus' , meeting Him "in the clouds" , 1st. " Watch therefore, and pray always that you may escape these things" " For God has not appointed us to wrath" . But even if someone who reads this finds themselves "left behind" on that day, take heart. You can repent and accept redemption NOW. Don't delay. Your heart wil regarden, more and more, or your fears will take over. Instead, give yourself to God and HE will do the rest. HE gives you the faith and peace, strength and etc. to hang onto Him until you die or happen to somehow live until the end of those 7 years, when God comes down and laughs at the nations gathering to fight Him, as if they could. Satanically inspired, I'm sure they share his delusions... . Let's not be that foolish !

what's happening to the people there is the result of them voting for terrorists to govern them.. truth in ur face: although nobody wants to see a peaceful human die as collateral, but those who chose the path of terror will bring the consequences not only upon them but also their surrounding.. a curious law in life: the harvest is much much bigger than the sowed seeds..

We are supposed to feel sorry for the muslim palestinians... remember the tens of millions of hindus and buddists killed by muslims, its the biggest genocide in history. Go look for pity and support elsewhere.

No funny part?! Curious remark, considering that people ARE laughing and it is a comedy competition which I did win, by not being carded off by those members of the audience who could have cut my set short. But thanks for taking time to comment; it helps me with the algorithm.

Some people think poop humor is funny, some people think truth based humor is funny.🤷🏻‍♂️ Considering most comedians are left wing or just barely center, i definitely enjoy the humor DeSanto bring to the table.

@anthonyreed480 You do realise comedy is subjective? Somehow a few think Nish Kumar and an endless list of so called "comedians" who have sent comedy on the BBC/Channel 4 down the pan are funny....
