Hi Everyone. I love it when people can't guess what something is made from. Did you guess before watching the video? Nobody ever believes me when I tell them what I have used to make this project from.

One thing that I really like about you is that you always surprise me. When I first saw the black on black, I thought I to myself, "That's not so pretty," and then, at the end off the project I said, "Wow! That's so pretty." I couldn't figure out where you "could" go wth this project, but as usual, it's great. I just love how your brain works. Thankx again for another great video.
This inspires me to create some stained glass themed pieces. Fantastic work and your general attitude and approach to how you teach is a cure for depression. One day soon I aim to afford a coffee to thank you
You always entertain, & encourage creativity & great up-cycling ideas. AND keep us (ok, me!) 😁 & sane during the insane times we live in, so kudos to YOU, Steve, for putting out so much positivity! Forget the nay-sayers spewing their negativity - that nastiness is on them, rarely/never about you, dear man! 😘
That turned out so pretty!! I never would have thought to use toilet paper rolls with resin. What a great idea!
I love it. I have an idea. The oval toilet paper rings looks like leaves. Using a green mica powder in the resin with the oval around the edge. Let cure. Use black paint an a thin brush to paint down the middle of each leaf and out from it. Let dry. Then you would have flowers and leaves design on the blue back ground. Cover with clear resin.
Another great technique Steve! This will make beautiful plumeria and tropical leaves! Can't wait!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! I'm speechless... The colors are so pretty together. Stay safe and stay crafty!! Ringy-dingy👍👍🔔🔔🦋🦋

Awesome!! Almost looks like stained glass! That shape would be great painted green and used as leaves on a flowery background! 😍
Looks like poinsettias! Reminds me of Christmas stained glass decor
Love it, I think that I am going to try this, but with green leaves, red flowers and the background where the black is have it green or white. It would make an excellent tray for Christmas.
That is nice! I’m glad to see that you are up cycling! You’re amazing!
hi Steve absolutely stunning if you were to make another 4 of them in the same style you could make a mini shelf unit it would look amazing WELL DONE 👏👏👏👏👏xxx
Love the color combo, and the little toilet paper hack is awesome.
That is incredible. Turned out very nicely. Thank you sharing all of your advice and tips. They have been most helpful to me.
yes Ive seen this with Pouring your heart out, awesome outcomes.
Would never have thought of using toilet rolls in that way. It looks great
Genius way of recycling, absolutely beautiful. You are so creative and so inspirational! I don't mean to gush, but you definitely are a brilliant creator! ❤
Top tip. When doing the PVA, you could put it on a thin dish sponge and kinda ink up the toilet rolls with the glue.
That was really lovely Steve. Nicely done!
Beautiful Indeed tyfs Steve👍🏾❤😁💯
What a Fantastic idea!!
love how your tray came out
Check out how Sherry Moulton did hers. She made a beautiful peacock the other day.
That turned out beautifully 😍
Thank You Sooooooo Much for this! Always looking for more ways to be creative. And this is definitely one way of doing so. 😍
Thanks for all the resin ideas, instructions, how to's & especially for the safety information. Also Google Opinion for the win! I do occasionally ten second surveys & not only can I rent movies with it. But I just figured out I can share it by tipping my favorite KZreadr.
That's beautiful Steve
That turned out stunning! Love how you try out different ways to do things, very inspiring!
Awesome! Love how you added the tp rolls to the resin. Looks amazing! Thank you for your videos.
Really enjoyed this project. When you demouuld the projects the gold looked like apple slices. Just lovely.
Love how it has come out a piece of art in its own right xx
Hi Steve! Amazing tray. You always make my day. God bless you and your furbabies.

Would be cool to use this method to make a sun catcher.
Beautiful 😍
Very pretty 😍
That is beautiful. I have been saving toilet paper rolls for other purposes but l will give this a try on a smaller scale

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts of yes that would be great! 2 is my fav at creators doing a collab 😍
They kinda look like little Sauron eyes around the outside. Hide your rings! 😱😂 Very nice result in the end
I’ve watched sherry molten do some amazing trays using this technique 😍
I’m in love with that gold color!!!! What are you using???
Love it!❤
It would probably look like stained glass if you did it with colors that you can see through.
This is stunning! And another thing added to my projects to try list! You never fail to to make me say ‘wow! I need to try this’ so many ideas floating around my head now…..I need to make a new post it note list of projects to try 😂

Get a notebook lol it's cheaper I literally have a notebook full of stuff that I want to make from the channels like this that I watch the only thing I need to worry about is if I can get them all done before I die cause it's alot from years back until now and I'm constantly adding to it
I had seen this technique as well but with the rolls left in their natural state. Some leaks happened. I was thinking it might help to seal them with mod podge or a varnish over the paint to help prevent the leaking. Beautiful design.
Wow!!
Very cute. Would look good for Christmas as a poinsettia design. Question: Did you paint the paper rolls before or after you cut them into circles?
Great idea, nice 😍
I love this!!!!
Sherri Moulton does this too.
Wow this was FANTASTIC, I’ve just subscribed & I look forward to watching lots more of your videos m. Keep up the GREAT work
Absolutely love your channel!! You also have the best last name but I’m biased.
I just finished watching her peacock video. And then yours popped up.
Very nice, thank you
Really interesting project, I like it.
Flippin gorjuss ❤️
Is it more efficient and lesser leaks if i let the bottom resin cure then add very thin clear layer to cure with the rolls instead of gluing it down?
What did you use as a weight on top of your flower?
very nice
How does the paper of the roll hold up in the resin over time?
Nice...
💗💗💗
What did you do about the glue? Is it taken off or left on?
I don't know if you noticed it but some of the shapes that you over filled that weren't close to another shape really bulged. The shape changed a lot.
Where do you find those cool molds
I saw her do the Peacock. .
Hey. Do i need a mask for a resin that has no smell?
Sherry Moulton uses toilet paper rolls quite often too on her channel.
That turned out really cool! I wasn’t sure where it was going but I love how it looks finished! ❤️❤️
I liked the cleaner division between the original black base and the gold and red; the teal is pretty but I like the more graphic previous look. Also the teal was nearly the same color as the baby blue background. You know, the one I keep begging you to swap for WHITE when you are done and showing a final item? Hey, let's see if I can bribe you. For the next month, every time you post a video with a WHITE back ground at the end, I buy you a coffee! Whatcha think?
u can just use enamel for these types of work. why waste expensive epoxy resin. the traditional artwork like this is called cloisonne and is done with metal and enamel paint.

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts .... oh... ok... ... .... ..... ...... there was clearly no reason to reply. IM not blind, i can see what this channel and project is abt. im stating that this project is not cost effective in terms of material. But thx anyway, this video taught me that most artists don't usually see the cost while designing and try to make their product available for mass production. though i have seen architectural designers thinking abt costs too much which is kind of interesting. i have seen a man walk 10km and waste abt an hour only to save about 60cents. how humans think especially designers is really interesting. or to put it simply designers don't really think, do they? u guys do whats seems aesthetically pleasing?? it seems kind of rude to ask a person that in person... so i guess im asking online.
Paper towels work better.
man roll your shirt sleeves up....or something
I am just beginning to look into resin. I don't understand the necessity of the black base layer and especially using the mica powder. Can someone please explain? Thanks. BTW, very interesting how you used lowly TP rolls so beautifully. My first thought was peacock feathers. 🦚
