What makes you think he meant it? He is an actor after all. Though I couldn’t imagine not being happy. Look like a fun movie to be in. What I think was interesting about the film besides the badass actually wanting to come out of retirement was that Hutch and his father actually had a good relationship. In most types of these films the the character like Hutch had a rough childhood with an abusive father one that gets introduced by the character saying he hasn’t seen him in years, but here Hutch spends time with his dad and even visits him at the nursing home both him and his dad care about one another and when Hutch starts to try to go back his father is happy for him and is glad to join in. Side note I never thought I needed to see Christopher Lloyd welding shotguns and killing Russian and now I can’t understand how I lived without it.

The fight scene at 1:44 is so good. It's short, but concise and super clear. They even integrate the 1/4 turn quick-disconnect suppressor and add the super neat FWOOM sound from the barrel when he whips the rifle over his shoulder really fast. That being said- I've never experienced a barrel making that noise, but maybe it occurs with larger calibers🤷♂️
@Tom_Het

I mean, it's not like the sound design is aiming to be realistic. There's no suppressor on earth that makes a gun that silent.

@@Tom_Het I've been in the same room as a 5.56 negligent discharge without hearing protection and the eardrum pain is so real. It would have been even cooler if when he pulled the trigger, everybody in the room flinched from how hard their eardrums got rocked. ~70% of my hearing was just this painful ringing for the next 5 hours and it took almost 3 weeks to feel like I didn't have cotton balls stuffed in one ear anymore. That .308 going off indoors would *suck.*

Hutch : "You brought a lot of shotguns!" Father : "Well you brought a lot of Russians" That has to be one of the most American conversations I have ever heard.
Christopher L. was a fantastic bonus to this very enjoyable and silly as hell to watch movie.
Every time I see Chris Lloyd I still remember him with Douriff, Chief, deVitto and Jack in that Loonie bin classic playing their best selves, a can full of NUTS. Legendary graduating class that masterpiece He is no way shape or form a newbie to play somewhat slightly off the rails characters ever since

Saul Goodman, Doc Brown, and RZA vs the Russian mob…… I love this movie
I'm impressed by the fact how stupid are the errors in montage here. first is that the shot was flipped - the bolt action changes sides inbetween takes. the other one is the fact that he loses the silencer and then he has it back. I mean, how do you make such errors is impressive
