total non argument. We bombed innocent people trying to murder Hitler too? Should we not have done that? If you're indifferent to genocide, cool, but some of us aren't.

Its sad how unpopular Noam Chomsky videos are when compared to those ridiculous meme videos of tiktoks and BS. Shows you how ridiculous our priorities are as viewers.

You can't only blame viewers. Its content creators, billionaires, and tech companies that are using social media to their benefit often at our expense. Chris Hedges and Chomsky have discussed the industrial media complex and social media is no different.

Here is an excerpt from a book that cites that transcript. The source says it is available in the Declassified Documents Reference System. I did not spend much time searching but I could not find a way to easily access this system that was free. If you keep looking online, and use the reference number given, you should be able to find it: "Saddam is referring to a recent meeting he had in Baghdad with a U.S. Senate delegation. The U.S. ambassador to Iraq, April Glaspie, cabled Washington, “Senator Dole masterfullycovered the points suggested to him by the Secretary [of State]” in his meeting with Sad-dam. She mentioned nothing in the cable about any omissions in the message the senatorsdelivered. The Iraqis released a “full text” transcript of the meeting, although Glaspie’spredecessor in Baghdad (David Newton), who accompanied the Senators to the meeting, claims that this Iraqi record “left out anything that was unpleasant to them [the Iraqis] andmade the Senators look like a bunch of saps.” See the following sources: Baghdad02186,“Codel Dole: Meeting with Saddam Hussein,”12April1990, available through the Declas-sified Documents Reference System; FBIS-NES-90-074,17April1990, “Saddam HusaynAddresses Visiting Senators,” Baghdad Domestic Service (in Arabic),16April1990; DavidPalkki telephone interview with Ambassador David Newton,25March2008." This number is most important: FBIS-NES-90-074,17. Here is another reference found in a different source that is a little less messy: Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS), ―Saddam Husayn Addresses Visiting U.S. Senators,‖ Baghdad Domestic Service in Arabic, 17 April 1990. Hope you are able to find it. It shouldn't be too hard if you use the search terms above in various databases. See if you can find access to the Foreign Broadcast Information Service.
