Noam Chomsky once said, what he is doing (politically) is very easy and not intellectual challenging (like his work in linguistics). He said, we only have to look and there are plenty of data available.. all we have to do is LOOK......

I heard him say that exact thing in a recent interview with Lawrence Krauss. It also resonated with me. It also made me fearful of the dreaded day when we lose Noam Chomsky. Because I don't see anyone around today who comes close to being a similar voice of reason. He says all we have to do is look, but he seems to have been the only person who has consistently seen the way things really are for the past 50 years. And that's terrifying.

Noam's thoughts here are maddeningly ambiguous. There's no need for it, but then he's lost the plot. Greta is a being abused. Cory Morningstar and many others have shown by who and why. Noam has no time for independent journos doing real research (and possibly outshining him). He will quote fake alt/progressive media, favorably. But that's it. He's establishment. And, as Stephen Gowans and others point out, he's no longer anti-imperialist. What a shame!

@@1981Dead no. You should have a look a the science. Scientifics at the UN wrote the Vegan diet should be adopted. And also how could you both eat meat (wich is the responsible for 90% of amazone forest destruction) and think that you can compensate this damager by planting a tree. You're delusionnal. Animal agriculture is responsible for forest destruction. I used to be a radical leftist but the more I speak to leftist the more I see they just enjoy harming animals and the environment while braging about their commitment to justice. They don't care. It's appalling.

your type of snipey little criticism is easy, as you have just demonstrated .......doing what Chomsky has done i.e devoting an entire life to clearly and in detail bringing to light the many hypocrisies, contradictions , crimes, injustices and just basic unworkability of the way we are living is not . Also , he certainly has offered credible alternatives and has written extensively about how and why those alternatives are resisted by those few who benefit short time from our current insanity .......

There are many Chomskies in the world.. Its that they are not known widely. They have huge fan base for their ideas.. Its just the supporters should unite to establish a new world order acceptable to all. I suggest everyone to promote the tag #CooperativeSocialism towards a moneyless society, that can bring peace and prosperity for all of humanity.

It is sad to see a man as old as him to lose his grasp of reality and be so easily duped by whatever he is told by his handlers to represent reality. But I see it happen, sadly, more and more often. Old people are manipulated and young people are manipulated into believing some crazy nonsense is reality.

This 98 percent of the scientists agree argument is not factual. So, Noam, I don't buy it. Stupid is as stupid does.
