I remember this one old JoJo game. It took place during part 3 and the guy who could deage people was playable. If it was on used Joseph he'd become the age he was in Battle Tendency and had a new moveset involving his hamon and clackers

The specific animation when Jotaro was punching back was the input attempt iirc, whether it was succesful or not neither player will know until Jotaro's GHA bar on the bottom was depleted and I think you need full bar to attempt this. Also it is specific to part 3 Jotaro, neither part 4 or part 6 can do it.

For context, this is an actual mechanic with this SPECIFIC matchup. If Jotaro inputs his time stop against DIO's Road Roller super, he will ALWAYS live, even if he was already at 1 hp

Yeah the point of burning the 2 bars to escape is: - Reset to neutral (round start positions) instead of the DIO player having advantage/oki over Jotaro - Cuts the damage of the GHA almost in half of what it usually does - As shown in the video, guarantees that the Jotaro player lives regardless

That was too epic. If only it happened in the final round....

DIO used his level 2 on jotaro to finish him off But Jotaro will always survive THAT SPECIFIC level 2 if he also has 2 power meter It's coded in to just be a reference to the Manga/Anime, so it's kind of irrelevant in PvP But it can still happen lol

For those unfamiliar Jotaro specifically has the ability to also stop time and can input his time stop DURING Dio's super to avoid the finisher/death during it. It is matchup specific tech. A story point given mechanics. Part of what makes jjasbr so cool.

This end of match followed the canon end of the fight between Jotaro and DIO beat for beat. It'd be crazy enough to do that deliberately, but to pull it off on the fly in an online match is hype as hell. If I were playing DIO in this match, I don't think I could even be mad about losing like that.

well, not exactly. you can see that the energy bar at the bottom right was full. while i don't play the game, apparently from what someone said in the comments, if the Jotaro player has that bar full and Dio's Za Warudo Road Roller Da happens to deplete the full health bar, the energy bar at full depletes and allows Jotaro to be saved, even at a pixel. so the Jotaro's timestop scene happens.

Imagine if Dio's defeat animation was the same as his death scene in part 3. That would've been awesome.

That's one loss I'd be taking without being upset.

I'm guessing that the escape input doesn't _visibly_ register until Jotaro stops time as part of the cutscene. Kinda like how Jolyne's HHA sets the combo count to 1000 _after_ she says how many times she threw the ball.

yeah, when Jotaro spends meter during the road roller he is unable to go below 1 HP, also if he wasn't that low, he wouldn't take damage during the explosion but would take damage normally untill then, pretty cool interaction

Cinema fighting gameplay,looked like something straight out of a show 🤩

This game had no right to be as fun as it was, and has some interesting online interactions. One time, me and a friend were playing. I was Giorno, and he was playing as Pucci. He pulled Stairway to Heaven and tried to auto-win the fight... but I pulled Gold Experience Requiem, and managed to fight back in the void and win the match. It was SO COOL, and made us both wish Giorno canonically showed up during part 6.

it was the spirit of Jonathon Joestar that gave you that last once of life!

Not even, that’s actually the Dio player getting massively outplayed. Part 3 Jotaro has a special matchup against Dio where that extra cutscene can be triggered if the Jotaro player inputs Time Stop during Dios level 3. It costs meter, but it guarantees Jotaro survives. The Dio player would’ve won with a sneeze after that, but still got outplayed by the overhead. TLDR; All skill and matchup knowledge.
