Fun fact: only Vessel and II do the studio recording. All of the recorded lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar(s), bass guitar,, piano and song writing are all Vessel. The drums are all II. I'm looking forward to the day that III and IV record with Vessel and II. ❤❤❤ Worship.

I say the exact same thing but I sometimes wonder if IV came in to help for some vocals. I also wonder if the lyrics could be written as well by II. What a band. I imagine one day they will come out with in the studio videos like making of TMBTE etc…only time will tell!!

I hear that. I love seeing it happen. Since late 2018 or so, I was hitting up my favorite reaction channels to play Jaws, or Bloodsport (from the room below). Skip ahead to The Summoning and watch them explode over night, was amazing. ~Worship

Sleep Token has consistently put out some of the most intense lyrics that make me feel the music on a whole other level. Particularly with this song. "I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre," is such a great way to describe a very specific "moth to a flame" attraction that is so volatile and consuming.

The best take on Sleep Token I’ve ever heard is ‘I wish I could hear their songs for the first time again’. That being said, I’m constantly hearing new details in their songs that I’ve listened to literally on repeat for the last six months. This band is like no other I’ve ever experienced. Seeing them in NYC in May and I am beyond excited.

@@DreadnaughtyArt I haven’t gotten there yet 🤣 I listen to two maybe three songs at a time. They create so much emotion and feelings for me that I play those three song’s over and listen and vibe. I may sound crazy but it wipes me out listening to them because of all the feelings. PLUS it gives me more to be excited about discovering the new songs while I wait for new content from them.

I love that they are equally just as good live. Fastest growing band out there IMO.

@@peaceofmind6804 From the continued listening to them I understand why you say that but I don't necessarily think they are exactly "demonic". I think the masks are more-so so they can be who they want to be and act how they want without judgement of their looks (which to me makes sense as an average weird white man lol) but they lyrics and music are about Vessles dealing with the dark side and "Sleep" being the ultimate sleep. I get the Demonic/Cult side of it but i don't think that's the true intentions. I could be wrong but that's my take

I think you just represented every Sleep Token fan hearing them for the first time. It's literally an emotional rollercoaster, this song especially. You actually looked emotional at one point, which just shows how good they are. I love that you appreciated every bit of this song. This is by far the best reaction video I've ever watched - We took the journey with you lol.

What makes it even more incredible is that Vessel writes and performs all lyrics, vocals, piano/synth, guitar, and bass for the album recordings. III and IV only play bass and guitar on tour (and then Espera are the backup vocals/chorus behind Vessel). Vessel and II are the sole musical writers and performers on the recordings, though, and it is.. just unreal that anyone is capable of all of that.

So, they're ALL masked. Their identities are hidden, likely to keep the mystery going and to protect themselves from the spotlight in their day-today lives. It makes the band even more wholesome to me.

God this is is the shit I LOVE as a longtime Sleep Token fan. So happy that people are discovering the boys through their latest album, and more people are giving more of the spotlight to Vessel's MAJESTIC voice and vocal range. Had sooo much fun watching this dude, get ittt🫡🫡❤️❤️ plus if you take reccomendations, I'd say Ascensionism is something you should check out for more of Vessel's rap, Atlantic from a previous album is a spiritual experience more than anything, and AN ABSOLUTE MUST is Blood Sport. A must.

As a ST fan since 2019, I'm also happy they're finally getting recognized, but I dislike that all these bandwagon fans are buying up all the merchandise and causing live ticket prices to skyrocket. I went to go buy tickets to the ATL show and it would cost over $500 for my wife and I to attend.

I've also been around since 2019 and I've *unfortunately* never had the pleasure of seeing them live but, it is what it is :/. their music is reaching a wider audience and that's a good thing. But yeah I do get it

And Vessel writes 100% of every song aside from the drums, which is II's god tier drum creations. The level of talent, skill and intelligence in this band is otherworldly.

You must listen to their albums completely. This track references lyrics from past songs, tying it all together. It’s such an experience.

If you love the rap drop in this song you should listen to Granite and Aqua Regia from this album. Or just start from number 1 and react to every song from Take Me Back To Eden...it's the BEST album of 2023. II's drumming, Vessel's voice and lyrics...are just amazing. Please keep these reactions coming!

One of my favs. I love how at the beginning it’s like he’s asking “take me back to Eden” and at the end when he’s screaming it’s like a plea to be taken back. I also love that the end has Chokehold layered in.

In the beginning he also says "I WILL travel far beyond the path of reason" and in the ending he says "I HAVE traveled far beyond the path of reason." Like at first it was a warning, like if you don't take me this'll happen and at the end it's aggressive and demanding

Gotta say, I’m excited to see one of US reacting to music like this. I am new to Sleep Token and this is the song I first heard from them and it BLEW ME AWAY.

One of the BEST BANDS I’ve heard in a long time. Vessel’s voice is HYPNOTIC! Just flawless. The talent in this group is undeniable. The drummer is maaaad skilled!

He added that lil drizzle at the end like: in case y’all forgot it was metal 😏

as soon as i read the title the words "this man is not ready to hear this" came to mind I've never gone through a divorce or anything close to the kind of emotions displayed in that song but I still found myself tearing up over it

It’s worth it to go back and listen to their albums fully. There is a full circle moment from the first track on the first album to the last track on TMBTE. ❤ As a newer Sleep Token fan my only regret is not learning about them sooner. Going to see them live in Chicago, absolutely cannot wait!!!

They're polymorphic metal. They can/do everything. Strongly suggest you watch Drumeo's interview of II. Do Vore! It's got so much going. Just people are turned off by the initial screaming...they forget they're capable of almost all forms of Metal

An all around beautiful song by them with no screaming is 100% "Granite". Granite is my number 1, Take me Back to Eden is a very close second though.

"Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire" is a reference to an earlier song of theirs, The Offering. No doubt you'll hear it eventually. I'm loving watching you discover this band and having such a blast! It's truly an experience. I was lucky enough to see them live last year. It was a bad festival venue, half the crowd wasn't into it (their loss), and I was stuck in the back. It was still one of the best shows of my life. They gave every ounce of passion and energy I've seen them give in videos of massive stadium shows with dedicated fans. It was glorious.

So happy I got to relive my experience of this song through this KZreadr. Sleep token is not just music. Sleep token is a spiritual awakening. I honestly didn’t know my heart had a G-spot.

I too wonder how this band isn't the biggest thing happening in music. They are gaining momentum and they are headed for stardom. There is a reason for it. Their music is the freshest, most original, and progressive thing produced in a decade.

Vessel had/has a side project called Blacklit Canopy, it's a duo and he sings and plays guitar, there's a live video of Patient where you can see Vessel without his costume back in 2014

What’s great about this song is it’s the end of the album and they loop back around with samples to chokehold which is the first song of the album. Tying it all back together coming full circle. They are elite musicians and so talented.

The thing a lot of people don’t realize is that Vessel does everything instrumental outside of the drums. 3 and 4 are touring only members. That’s a lot of why everything comes together so well, because it’s mostly just one guy.

It's like not fair right. How he can sing very very well, can scream, can rap, tall and cool. And here I am smiling while listening to his voice and looking like a potato.

TMBTE is probably my favourite song on the album, for sure. Vessel's voice is phenomenal, and then that punchy aggressive ending just makes me wanna just throw down! I was lucky enough to bag a ticket last Sept to see them in Manchester and they did not disappoint! Worship.

@donvon you mentioned wanting to go to a concert. I highly recommend it. I saw them a few weeks ago after becoming completely obsessed with them and it’s the best show ever. The fans are incredible and kind and so diverse. The vibe is so chill but still rocking. But most importantly they must have the greatest sound tech in the music industry cause it sounds like the album live. They make little changes here and there like Vessel might do a half or quarter octave higher or lower and II will do some slightly different drum parts but if you didn’t know the songs you might think they were pulling a Milli Vanilli and lip syncing. Also II’s bass drum hits you in the chest like a damn freight train. Utterly incredible and amazing. Bob Dylan and Tool or any other show I’ve been to DOESNT even COME CLOSE, can’t even hold a candle to Sleep Token.

The way I describe Vessel's voice is heavenly

If you want to hear Vessel scream the two best songs are Vore and Gods. Both songs have a pretty unique sound to them after their screaming portions.

I heard of Sleep Token probably last year, but what REALLY set me off was 2's Drumeo episode. I watched that video last week and I've been engulfed by them ever since. So much substance behind their music...I used to think that Tool was the deepest band but now I'm beginning to think that ST has them beat. Such an amazing band.

What's real dope about the "Three Breaks" as you put it, is that each break is different, and mimics the verse/hook leading up to the break. Everything has a reason behind it. They don't miss.
