That's the difference between Team LH and all other fans. I'm a fan of many drivers, especially Max, but I don't like Hamilton whatsoever, and I'm still happy for him today, and I can admit that. Anytime Max does something worth mentioning or does something great, Team LH just call him names and cry about it.

All I’ve seen is positivity, and I’ve seen plenty of Lewis fans be happy for Max. I’ve also seen plenty of Max fans discredit Lewis, I mean I’ve literally seen people do that about this particular win. It’s a two way street pal, and people like you with their selective memories only make it worse.

That was truly amazing and I had a tear or two also. Lewis is undisputedly the GOAT and Max’s ‘Era’ is over. Mclaren have a far superior car and lost the last 5 races consecutively and now Mercedes are in the game, updates for Budapest are a definite and I’ve heard they have a plan to make the car incrementally better each race after for several races to get to where they are headed. “RedBull MUST DO BETTER” said Max before Austria and Benz have won the last two 👀👍🏼

It was a special day. Very emotional for all things Lewis since the horrible end of 2021. The thought of Lewis continuing to work hard since Abu Dabi 2021 until today made me imagine what it took to continue to fight through the bad car, a new teammate and last year with MBZ. That image of him sitting in that car in Abu Dabi is what made me cry today too. Special day at Silverstone 2024. I’m a Lewis and Cameron fan! You are a fair man and I appreciate your honesty. I'm a Verstappen and Carlos Sainz fan and I wanted one of two things to happen at Silverstone. I wanted Max to take the win from all the Brits to hear the pandemonium, or to have Lewis get a win at home in his last year at Merc. I almost got the Max win, but this is such a nice moment for Lewis after the woes of the last few years.

The guard hasn't changed. But the guard has been underhanded. You don't ROB a great, you inherit their powers. The same way Hamilton has inherited Senna, BUT respected Schumi to take over. I was hoping Max could inherit Schumi, AND respect Lewis. That's how it works. That's how you cement yourself as a GOAT. Max has forfeited this natural way of being, with people desperate to see Lewis loose and support Max whatever the cost. But... this is the cost: Max can't GOAT. HE still have SEB to pass for F Sake! Yet, people have prematurely tried to label him goat over the living GOAT. The GUARD hasn't changed, he's been stabbed and forcibly kicked. Again, you can NEVER supplant your way in history. Do this, and your castle of SAND WILL be blown away. And the WIN for Lewis is the force of this WIND. RECORDS are aways broken every time he steps on the podium, even when he get 3rd place. Can Max do that yet? The guard has not changed yet. It will one day, but not yet.

@francotripepi from a Lewis fan to a Max fan it’s nice that you obviously know what’s what as far as I can see a true fan of f1. It’s not difficult to appreciate talent and class when you see it. Max is almost perfect as a driver and I admire him greatly, but his ‘Era’ of dominance is over with RedBull and he knows that. It’s a shame, but the might of Mercedes is shining through in the back of the Mclaren and now at factory team. Lando and Mclaren have badly lost the last 5 races which I’m sure you know. Not double stacking Oscar and asking Lando “softs to cover Lewis or hard to cover Max” was ridiculous, just give him the medium and he’s won the race, Oscar made up 10 sec on them and was right behind Lando without the double stack which Mercedes performed perfectly yet again. Now Mercedes has a decent car and the boys can drive it with a good level of confidence they have a big package for Budapest and incremental improvements for several races to come which could see them surpass Mclaren. Max is pissed at Christian, and losing Adrian, he treats his Dad with zero respect and they fight. The car has been inferior for 5 races and Max said “RedBull must do better” he’s got the offer of the World from Toto, shares in Mercedes Benz and Ambassador for the brand include “is that enough zeros Max, I’ll add one for luck” Max’s dominance is definitely over with the “implode” that Jos predicted. At RedBull, top of the tree I have my source, my friend, and “Hiroshima” is going to hit f1. As if Lewis to Ferrari wasn’t big enough, Max can once again dominate f1, but it’s at Mercedes Benz AMG Petronas F1 team 👀👍🏼💯🤫🤯💥😜

I saw an overtake on the track, both had chance to go to the pits and change tires, or was Mercedes not allowed to do so ? Massi allowing backmarkers to get out of the way was spicy but within is authority Those that live in the past, miss the present Let it go......it’s done BTW, Lewis has nothing reminiscent of a Senna, not because he “claims it” it is, not because his fans say so it is Lewis is Lewis, enjoy him, don’t proselytize, I haven’t, enjoy the racing .

Finally. The world today has seen what we, his fans, have been saying about the GOAT. He never left. He still got it. The tears have flowed freely today. We were all crying Cameron.

Could not be happier for Lewis. It was very clear this race was a point of pride for him. McLaren needs to stop giving lando strategy decisions, he’s too greedy and terrible at it.

You’re commentary is perfect. Louis has transcended the sport and become the embodiment of what it means to be a wonderful human. You are helping F1 fans move in the same direction.

How can anyone not be happy for Lewis after this race? If not, you're just not a fan of winning, of racecraft or championship mettle. Period.

I'm sure there are people out there who have never strived for anything or worked their ass off for years to get what they want. I think those were tears of "I genuinely had thoughts that I'd never get there again." He can be as positive to the fans and media as ever, but at 39, the team's been kinda meh, George is coming for him every day, you know some of those thoughts have crept in. As a neutral, I was very happy for Lewis.

Lewis has won races even nursing tyres through those last laps. He is the master of tyre management. He knew the track was telling him which was the tyre to use. One of the most satisfying races I’ve seen. So happy for him. For Lewis fans like me we have shared his ups and downs but yesterday was a long time coming but what a place to get that fantastic win. It made me emotional but when Lewis admitted how he had doubted himself I really felt for him. Good guys do prevail. You couldn’t write it. I hope Ferrari deserve Lewis. My Italian son in law is obviously a Ferrari supporter and has been to lots of races, especially Imola. It will make it easier because my loyalty goes with Lewis. But he’s also a big Charles le Clerc fan so next season will be interesting as we often watch the races together. 😂 Cameron you echo my thoughts about next year. We had a taste of Lewis winning yesterday and want more of that. Poor Perez. Have Red Bull demoralised him? Was that new contract a ploy? Pressure on him must be unbearable. But for today I’m finding it difficult to divert my happy place to think about other drivers. Sir Lewis will be having a happier Monday than he has since 2021.

I have been watching F1 where I was an Alan Jones fan and later Nigel. But what a race! Lewis has learned to carry himself near perfectly. When everyone was saying he don’t care about racing etc “he’s not a good role model” or the Scott’s man who “ he’s a lucky boy. Lewis is without doubt on paper, by the stopwatch, stats confirms his status. His emotions post race showed how much he’s his counsel until that moment. After being cheated he went through all this time representing his impeccably. The UK rejoiced and cried because of the factors. A true legend!

This result will turbo charge Lewis and he will be unstoppable now, thjs has lifted the weight of 2021 off his back and he is free to win again and again, great race by the Goat

I agree with you Cameron, it’s great that the real fans of f1 who support Max, not just Max fans who watched the last 24-30 months and think they know f1, they have no idea about f1, they have an opinion based on the only facts that they watched it for 24-30 months and saw Max’s ‘Era’ of domination (explained in other comments) and seen ‘Drive to Survive’, those true fans who admired Lewis’ 9th Silverstone win, respect to you, Max is great I love watching him perfecting his craft. I watched Senna in the Toleman around Monaco, in the wet, win the race from 13th in ‘84 when he took Prost for the lead. Prost was on Pole and had Mansell beside him. Senna had to pass the likes of Lauda, Rosberg, Piquet, Arnoux, Alberto and Tambay amongst others to even get to Prost. Senna took Prost for the lead and meanwhile Prost was complaining about the wet conditions, being to dangerous because he couldn’t see. Prost was the French ‘God’ of f1 The ‘Professor’ and had the backing of FIAsco President Jean-Marie Balestre who decided to stop the race on Prost demands. The official results were taken at the previous lap thus Senna was second and Prost kept the win. Bloody FIAsco. Always been corrupt, ‘89 they changed Pole grid spot in Suzuka to the inside at Prost request so he’d have the outside racing line at the start, going into the first corner because Senna got Pole and beat him to the Championship the previous year of ‘88. I know my formula 1 because I’m a true fan and have spent my life following it around the World at every opportunity, 21 Countries and 49 race weekends. My knowledge of the sport is vast in 360degrees. I have friends all over the World not just in Melbourne where I live, 15 mins from Albert Par where I’ve been going every year since 2003. I’m always in touch with them at every location. I now take my son too. He loves Japan, I’ll say no more except this weekend he overtook me in my fantasy f1 league, because George DNF and Lewis won. He’s more loyal than I. He has faith in our football team beating Slovakia even with only a minute to go he’s “Dad don’t worry we got this, trust me” I’m a Lewis fan but he’s not in my team, I’m a massive fan, been there got the t-shirt. That’ll teach me. Now I don’t know if I should change my team because I put Mercedes in my team before Canada weekend and I’ve never been beaten in the league with my friends, I have ‘King George’ I back him his pedigree can’t be surpassed only equaled on the way to f1, by Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton, it’s my sons first attempt. So there are fans and supporters then true fans who know, follow and support the sport. I’m the latter and to the others who are the same what a new ‘Era’ of f1 we have coming but it’s going to be quick if Max takes Toto’s offer of ‘The World’ which I’ve mentioned in full in previous comments, read them and find out. ‘Hiroshima’ will hit f1. And I can’t wait to see it because I’m backing ‘King George’ all the way. 👀👍🏼💯🤫

i think this season has seen a lot of merger and appreciation of the other side between max and lewis diehards, and those inbetween. i understand completely a lot of f1 fans got bored of lewis winning every year, happened to me in the early/mid schummacher years, i gave up with watching, it was boring knowing who was gonna win before a race. max got shit from lewis fans mainly down to a race decision that was not down to either driver, but this season, after a short(ish) period of absolute dominance, max has shown more than any other, he is an absolute beast, winning when he had no right to. this season max is outperforming the car by margins that arent natural. but from lap 42 (i think thats when max passed lando) i was watching the left hand side of the screen probably more than i was the driving. 1 tenth, 2 tenths, oh lewis has clawed it back. beautiful day. for anyone that wants to question lewis's ability now, watch him pulling in to winners row, and tell me how anyone has a right to be holding time with a max rbr on 12 lap old hards, with those tyres.

Even if youre a Max fan, you'd have to be happy for Lewis today. He deserved that win after all he went through. I think all true F1 fans shared in his tears of joy today.

How can you just not be in awe of such greatness. Lewis is clearly the UNDISPUTED GOAT. He likes the car since Canada and nobody was going to deny him at Silverstone, that’s the metal of the man. Max’s ‘Era’ is now over because Benz have big upgrades for Budapest and increments of performance for several races. McLaren don’t have that metal not Lando but it’s more the teams fault because they’ve dropped the ball on everything but the car itself. Lando should’ve never had a choice to “ cover Lewis with softs or Max with hard” ffs just put him on the mediums cause they’re clearly the best option. Big mistake again, 5 consecutive losses that should’ve been wins. Mercedes are on the prowl and max said “RedBull must do better” they’ve lost Adrian and the “implode” with Christian at the helm is happening so is Max taking Toto up on that offer. “Is that enough zeros Max” shares, Ambassador of Mercedes Benz etc. The World could belong to Max again so will he really pass that up. He’s reached the limit with RedBull. The Mercedes powered cars are superior and it’s not just the power units. Image if Mclaren put Lando on sofas and double stacked at 1st stop. Great win by lewis but what mclaren did to piastri was criminal. He would have won the race if not for his own team imo. McLaren know how to bottle a race better than any other team.

There were teary eyes all round. Everyone released the emotion of 2021, and as you said not knowing if we would ever see this again. Seeing Lewis and Max driving in a different universe to the rest in unpredictable, and changeable conditions highlighted their individual race brilliance. I wish we could see more Max Lewis battles. What a race. Nice to see fans of the sport that are partisan for their own drivers giving praise. That’s how it should be.

I’m shocked that Ferrari have dropped the ball so badly. I’m more shocked that Fred has let it happen. Charles is not as quick as ‘King George’ as quick as Lando, probably, and slightly better mental fortitude, but he’s no Max, definitely no Lewis and Sainz beats him too often 👀🧐🤔👍🏼💯🤫

There are a lot of Hamilton fans me included that have always respected and recognized Max Verstappen as a great driver. Great drivers are what make this sport so enthralling and we need to respect all of them not just our favourite driver. It has for some time now been the hateful comments of some fans that spoils the atmosphere in the fan base for everyone.

After a decade of boredom, F1 became exciting again today.

Look, I’m completely with you, well nearly. I was there this weekend, my voice hasn’t recovered yet and I still cry when I watch the highlights as I have a good few times. But in the setup thing, whilst you are quite right and Lewis got this right, there have been plenty of times George got the better setup. And I’m no fan of George! Lewis has said himself on a few occasions that he and George diverged with their sets and by his own admission, went the wrong way. There’s no bigger fan of Lewis than me, but perspective does matter.

As a Max fans this was just beautiful for the Hamilton family. I felt happiness

I'm happy for Lewis today, but Max has also shown once again why he is the best, dragging that inferior Red Bull up to 2nd.

@lydondejager5931 so the first time since his last win he has the best car, and he wins, and that's why he's the best? Max has won 10 races with the 3rd fastest car, while Lewis has never won in a 3rd fastest car or lower.

@@PolishEddie1992 I still don't think the Mercedes is the fastest car. Currently its the 3rd fastest car behind Red Bull, and with Mclaren having the fastest car. And my problem with you, is that you comparing Lewis and Max again. This is Lewis' moment so just give him that, and stop with the silly comments that Max is the best. Let us enjoy the records these guys are breaking and Give credit where credit is due. Enough said!!!

I've never seen so many grown men around the world drop a tear after seeing Sir Lewis got this historic win. Sad thing is, when Lewis finally does retire, who know if we'll see another black driver in F1

George was burning his car cos they said apparently he closed up some cooling vents to gain aerodynamic advantage and it backfired becsuse it wasn't that cold.

Don't mind saying i was really emotional seeing Lewis with his Dad and then with Bono, that was a special win for Lewis, it meant everything to him. 9 Silverstone wins is a new world record, no one can deny Lewis is the Goat.

Congrats Cam! I am a Max fan but nice to see Lewis get a win after such a long time. The one he really wanted to win too. Wonder if Max starts thinking about that Merc contract now. All the Red Bull upgrades look more like downgrades. 😅

I'm not a LH fan but I'll congratulate his 9win at this track. Now I've been nice... are the F1 drivers (who can run laps within hundreds neh thousands of a second per lap every lap) deciding pre race who wins? Not every race but races they deem important enough to screw with the F.I.A president. After all he does want to increase the number of not only sprint races but races in general. Likening F1 physical demands to Basketball. When was the last time you saw a NBA player enter a world triathlon qualifier and come 3rd as Jesson Button (for fun) did back in the winning days of Brawn GP. The amount of difference winners we've had could be an indication, Monico's parade lap race giving CL his dream win while drivers at the back show devastating pace, here at Silverstone all through the weekend there was considerable mention of LH winning in every session of this GP. Now before you all start screaming at me yes loved seeing 3 brits lead this particular race and I too was out of my seat for every amazing overtake even odd man odd OP. What an amazing display of skill from all drivers involved this weekend especially at the front. But then why as with Monico did we see MV on the agreed apon worst tyre bang out fastest lap after fastest lap, sure at the end his time was beaten at the line by CS but it felt like Monico all over again. How on the worst tyre did MV claw back all that time? Then what I believe is the bast evidence of driver and F.I.A conflict, LH short broken off handshake with the Prez himself who already looked mad but after his face was furious! Are the F1 drivers deciding some races in protest to Siliam? These are just my rambling thoughts. A great Sliverstone gp showing us that we should all respect the skills of all our F1 drivers.

I'm a McLaren fan and even I'm not mad, brilliant exciting race, brilliant drive by Lewis and Max today.

To add, both my boys did well and it was great to see them 1 and 2 in the heavy rain... but ultimately I think their inexperience showed today. As did the teams inexperience of running at the front. We have a bit to go until we are the McLaren of old.... but we are still on the up, so that's exciting too.

Lewis is still that guy........ a Legendary active F1 champion, give him the tools and the job is as good as done! Respect to all drivers, life is too short for me to have a dislike to anyone thats not Mohammed Ben Sulayem or Michael Masi! Lol

Cam, please comment on the latest offering of N S & C.

I'm a Max fan.... but I think that Lewis deserved this win today. Lovely crowd at Silverstone. ... on the other hand, I believe that McLaren lost by not giving Lando a set of Mediums...Overall it was a lovely race

Get in there Lewis! What a race.I was at Silverstone and it was bonkers. Gutted for George though he could’ve won as well as the Mercedes had very good pace and he was on pole. It would’ve been 2 in a row for George though last week was arguably because of Lando and Max having a little dumdum..Lando was a favorite to win among the crowd the whole weekend but I could tell that they are silently hoping in their hearts that Lewis will get this one. The crowd in Stowe A (where I was sat) went wild when Lewis got George in front of us. Lando is not happy with just a Podium anymore but he could’ve won as well if they made better decisions during the race. Max was alright I guess but it didn’t feel at any point over the weekend that Red Bull had a proper car.

Max of course is going to Mercedes do you read what I write.

I'll be first to say I don't like LH for all his off track bs. Nor did I cheer for him ever... But I've always known he was a legend driver. Yes for a time that merc was dominant but he still had to drive it to pole and podium. Today was a great day for F1, no doubt. But when the Champaign is poped, and the silverware is put away, there is one question that comes back to the fore, what is Checco's future going to be? (PS- Piastri is currently the driver I support, closely followed by the underachieving Danni Ric)

Why Max was so unhappy about the administration of Red Bull? Almost quit? Why?

So what, I know the roads around my house very well as well so I would finish in front of you too Cameron and I am 73.😊

If Lewis was 1 point behind Max in the championship the Max fans would not be saying what they are now about lewis. But bc Max was over 100 points over Hamilton in the drivers championship the win doesnt affect the championship which is why they are saying what they are.

Hamilton only needs the car to perform.

Perez could end up in Indy Series. Lewis and Charles- Max and Carlos and Mclaren! It will be great!
