Yes. You wear the armour in the game. The the Master Chief has armour in the game when handing cortana off at the end in his pod. The following didn't happen in the game. Keys getting killed off . No Piller Of Autumn. Only blue team on Reach, no Noble team🤦🏻‍♂️ have you played the game? 😂

I need to get this off my chest: I’m not even a hardcore Halo fan, but I can’t stop thinking that tv show producers and writers freaking hate everything about the game, including soundtrack and sfx. Think of all the decisions to deviate as far as possible from the original material. After all the butt pellet freedom arch it wouldn’t make no sense for Master Chief to allow an IA to be shoved into his brain. That’s how you get rid of Cortana, but just in case, add a gazillion original characters with storylines that somewhat connect just to support Master Chief character development. I was willing to accept Johnny Ringworld sporting his guns with a tight t-shirt for half of S02E04 while surviving without armor or weapons before the “Suit up” moment. But the “he took our armor” made me lose it. It’s such a despicable and lame excuse, it looks like something thrown at the last minute with a couple of lines written over the script. Also, the proper name for this tv show should be Coitus Interruptus: “MASTER CHIEF IS SURROUNDED BY ELITES! But they decided to just chill and walk away…” THE SPARTANS ARE READY FOR ACTION LOOKING FOR COBALT TEAM! Just found an automatic door banging. MASTER CHIEF IS HAVING A BAR FIGHT WITH ONI AGENTS! No he’s not. MASTER CHIEF AND… Arbiter, maybe? ARE HAVING A PLASMA SWORD FIGHT! No, it is not him and they won’t. I’m telling you, they hate Halo and their sole purpose is to disappoint the fans.

Exactly; what is the attack itself going to cause, peace and calmness? There is going to be panick when Reach is attacked but at least they could evacuate as many as possible while not under attack, have the defenses on high alert and as prepared as possible, and call in more evacuation aid in the meantime.. Like you say; not warning rhem makes no sense what so ever. I would rather have had no-one know about the attack or everyone told, rather than what they went with, which makes no sense.

Many of whom have been waiting longer than 2 decades for a GOOD live action adaptation and when a studio with the budget to make that happen comes along, this garbage show is the best we get.

My heartfelt condolences to anybody who enjoyed the game or has even just heard of it.

The answer to all your questions: the show runners and writers are all hacks who are allergic to nuance or anything that might portray ruthless military organizations in a positive light. We know ONI and Halsey did shady things, they work in a moral gray zone, but the show runners are going out of their way to paint them as complete incompetent villains. Not a single one of these characters makes sense

"Cortana gets captured". WHATTTT?????!!! Of all the lore they bastardized, this has to be by far the worst offense.

This show isnt about loyalty to Halo or its story or its fans. They produce this garbage knowing exactly what they're doing. Then they (try to) gaslight Halo fans into submission. Race swapping characters. Changing the personality and motivations of characters. All because they don't want you to have a since of heroism or stoicism in your mind. Thats why they take chiefs helmet off. So you cant imprint yourself into the suit, so to speak. So when they spend the big money on making these types of shows know that their goal is demoralisation. Apply the same to 343s games.

Long term Halo Fan here: short explanation: In Bungies Games Forerunners are implicitly Humans. Its never actually said but its 100% clear from context. All Humans can interact with human (forerunner) technology. Then 343 came along and thought it would be a good idea to change this retrospectively. Too bad, as now nothing in the story makes sense anymore. This show just extends this nonsense even further.

thank you for pointing out the covenants inconsistency. This is been a biggest problem when watching the show everyone praises the action but me who has played the video games and read some of the books know that the covenant are 30 times smarter than this entire show

There is no story in Halo TV. I mean that in their own documents, likely they don't focus on any central plot or narrative. (ranting) There's a huge dearth of shit ghost-writers who are trying to make a living shopping around scripts like this. If you talk to recent-grads of writing programs, some of the ideas about "good story telling", creative writing, general English has drastically changed. So much of what I hear coming out of these new art/media schools is trash, and it's all being trickled up into film and television because the scripts are interchangeable, require little creativity, and only require production money and slaves. And we're getting a bunch of young people that are often too timid to correct seniors despite seniors themselves being aweful. Good storytelling is beaten out of young people. So when you see things like "Why is this emotional control stuff there"? In industry, "sci-fi" is being requested even more (despite all the high profile flops) in scripts, and generic shit tropes like this are being pounded out at a totally different scale then before because new hires in the industry are under immense pressure to succeed and just even live and producers lost the entire plot of foundational film making decades ago. Too many people who can't write are typing stuff and making nonsense, and the rest are using still shitty not-really-AI to make scripts. Literally, sometimes it's starting with awful tropes first (we want a diverse cast...and a lgbt character...and a love scene...and family drama...and it's like "ok but where's the fucking sci-fi or even a plot"?). Again, there's no story in this tv show. It's just these stupid narrative checkboxes and however the directors can move the scene from one checkbox to another. Scripts are all looking like this, and criticisms/critiques of scripts look like this. Lots of really awesome stuff being passed around, even today. Standalone scripts that are like "That's the sci-fi I want". But they aren't "diverse" enough (I mean...not even true they just mean THEIR diversity), or "anime" enough (this one comes up embarrassingly often (just not for me)), not wall-to-wall action, or "we compared it to this shoggoth monstrosity called public perception and we think you should chain yourself to its teeth".

They're using AI to write this show. It's the only explanation....

Damn, y'all are like children who can't understand a basic story. That character is not a "blind Spartan"; he was a Spartan candidate as a child who went blind during the augmentation process. He was not an active soldier but when the Covenant knocked on the door he picked up a weapon and eventually sacrificed himself so that our crew could make it. The problem with hate watch content is you only get a distorted view of the story. It's part of the reason media literacy is so low now.

I just noticed this: At 17:38, Jimmy Rings lets Perez pass her, only for him to try to beat her up the stairs... so even something so basic like going up the stairs is poorly executed.

8:28 "For some reason a platoon of marines goes unnoticed by the spartan and tries to arrest them" This is unbelievably bad writing on so many lvls but here's a few 1. The motion tracker on your hud in the game that shows the location of friend and foe is not a game mechanic it's cannon that they are built into the suites meaning unless every single one of those fodder were cloaked they should have lit up the radar on all the Spartans like a Christmas tree. 2 you could send a hundred marines to arrest one spartan and there is still a significant chance that 1 spartan depending on who they were could kill them all and walk away let alone a fire team of Spartans this few men against this many Spartans? It's a guarantied suicide mission for those men it's easier to believe that the guy who sent them was trying to get those marines killed indirectly than it is to believe they thought those marines stood a freakin snowballs chance in hell. 3. even leaving out the literal hud providing eyes in the back of your head Spartans have significantly heightened senses, more sensors in their suites and on top of all of that are enhanced from cybernetics in cannon if one of the two dozen men there so much as breathed a little too hard the Spartans would have known and this is all of course leaving out the fact that they are being lead by THE MASTER FUCKING CHEIFA MAN WITH CANNONICAL PLOT ARMOR AND THE GREATEST WARRIOR ALL OF HUMANITY HAS TO OFFER!!! EDIT: Also mastercheif isn't a selfish whiny bitch he's a silent and contemplative man of action over words who has made himself as much as oni did the sole shield of the human species.

I have played the game from when it first came out. I do enjoy the show but must agree some sub plots seem dumb. But to be honest is this version of Halo would be a more realistic one, with the political implications around the fall of reach, the oni leaving the Spartans to die because they know they can’t just control them. Sacrificing the whole planet of reach so not to waste the fleet in a un win-able fight. Those things seem more likely to happen if it were real events with humans susceptible to corruption and self preservation. The show has a long way to go and hopefully gets better.

Yeah first 15 minutes of s2e1 was good then I clocked out. These show runners are making a mess of halo. There's not enough halo for the fans and don't explain enough for the average viewer. They're trying to please everyone but pleasing no one. It's the problem with hollywood now, there are so many books, shows, lore that exist. Just make a show about the existing book or comic. Disney has this same problem with star wars and marvel. Same thing with the DCU. People making shows and movies that have no interest in the material. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Sad to see this is what entertainment is now.

Obviously cobalt team wasn't shot down and eliminated by the covenant. This version of the covenant are not confident enough to be able to kill Spartans. They were actually killed by TK troopers and clone troopers lead by crosshair. Look at their bodies, the wounds on their bodies are not from plasma burns, nah that would be simple and easy thinking. Instead, the wounds are from blaster bolts, probably from crosshair's sniper rifle.

The more negative everyone is the less support they will give to future projects. If you want more halo content and hope it will continue to get better then you have to at least support them trying otherwise we just get nothing....

They couldn't even give us a hot Cortana, , sigh#

so the plot of episode 1 and 2 was that people didn't believe chief when he said elites were on the planet? but in halo one a marine helmet recorded everything that happened in the library. why wouldn't chief's helmet be able to do that?

Was wondering the same thing. I could be wrong but it doesn’t seem like the show acknowledges the removable chips in UNSC helmets. The cutscene you mentioned in CE was also important to the story/lore since it served as an introduction to the flood and eventually guilty spark. Also in my opinion that cutscene’s a good example of [helmeted] chief expressing emotion - he gently places the dead marine down, sees the carnage in the room, picks up the helmet and turns it over to reveal the name [Jenkins] as if acknowledging the human lives lost, shaking his head in sadness.

The fans are idiots and don't understand Halo just as the creators and writers of this show. Perez should've died as you said and she made no freaking sense. Seriously her helmet not being able to record what happened like wtf. The side plots are so bad and shouldn't even be in the show. Soren is just as terrible. Everything you said about the side plots are 100% correct. From the spartans being able to remove their chips like it doesn't matter is just crazy. And the fact that Chief and silver team are able to sneak out is awful. Pablo isn't Chief and should be fired. This show doesn't care about Reach nor does it do it justice. The fall of reach should've been epic. The elite should've beat tf outta Chief and yes killed Perez. The covenant should've been annihilating everyone, the wrath dying to that albino Spartan was something else. The jackals stopping was pure stupidity. And killing Keys in the fall of reach seriously who thought that was a great idea. The covenant should've glass that planet once they got what they wanted. Anyway I enjoyed your videos, don't stop critiquing this show as the fans of halo need their happiness destroyed for liking this trash. This show reminds me of Avatar the last Airbender movie.

God im so happy i am not even trying to watch season 2, I endured 4 episodes of season 1 before i stopped. This is a rare show that makes me angry, by destroying all that made Halo good. Like you say, Master Chief is aincompetent imbecile, that you dont like. Everybodys behaving like children , not like grown adults, screaming and madding. That video remineded me of the stupid emotion inhibiting pellets, when in Halo world there wasnt sucha thing: Spartans were just super focused on their job, also from their trainnig came the peculiar emotional state, they were perfect warriors in every moment, not letting go emotions. The whole army/marine is shown as imbeciles and incompetents. And ofc the superb Quan, who even in the first episode tought Master Chief how to feel and corrected/tought him at every turn. This show is an atrocity, that borrowed some names and some furniture from Halo, but has none of the spirit. It seemed to me like it tried to disparage some of the stuff that made halo great.

Halo TV show is NOT halo. This is just a cheap knockoff of the series and is not even canon. I’m sure after season 2 this show will be canceled.

Lets hope microsoft takes full control of it or smth and they actually make a tv series of the games, canon, exact copy, just live action

I have given up. We are never going to get a proper live action Halo show or movie. What a shame.

I like how they mention the winter contingency but never tell the"wider audience" this is trash is made for. They mention evacuations but if the winter contingency is just that, why give it a stupid name? Just call it evacuation.

So bad I have to imagine "Master Cheif" with his armor and helmet voice always on. Which makes it slightly watchable.

Reach episode was the worst! Keys is dead? No Grunts yet just elites out the ass using only swords and then Jackals using same swords. They said they did not see the games and it shows.

You start to wonder, before the previous 343 execs got fired did they greenlight this TV show with paramount and crappy script out of spite of halo fans and the company before they left.

Well, I just watched S2E5 and it doesn't get any better. Rizz just became Space Amish and is going to raise barns on some planet that Soren and his wife just went on a child protective services search in effort to find their kid. Turns out her silver hair was a wig that she took off randomly this episode. Might have been more useful taking the bright shiny weave off while trained killers were looking for you and your kid earlier in the season.

I still don’t understand the necessity of the Korean plot.

I imagine that Ackerson's plan was to isolate Kai from the other Spartans in order to get her to train his Spartan IIIs and also to sabotage the Spartan IIs and prove them disobedient and ineffective in order to convince the UNSC to continue funding his Spartan III program instead.

I feel so bad for Ensemble studios and how much they tried to stay true to Halo with Halo Wars with all the idiotic behaviour from Bungie and Microsoft and you fast forward to 343i and this show

Not everyone ic OCD over Halo, its TV, its a time filler, It was entertaining............that's all this is. Halo is a great time killer, like the games.

They should mix halo 2 and ce into one season then season 3 be halo 3 and end it off there
