THOSE are the writers who need justice, not the barely literate activists who make trash on demand. They’re upset now because the trash companies that demand the trash found money saving loopholes where they only need these trash writers for a little bit, then replace them. Keeping the same writers through the whole show production means nothing if what those writers made was irredeemable garbage.

This is why I made a video on December 16, 2023 commending Zootopia and Encanto for being successful and creative animated Disney films that are less than 10 years old. To prove that creative writers and directors still exist in today's Hollywood can write stories without being forced to make them diverse and politically correct - even in regards to new Disney content! You can not define the whole of Disney by its woke failures.

And then I’m also reminded that the current shows that are out there such as Rings of Power, Willow, The Wheel of Time, Star Wars, Star Trek Discovery, Celopatra, etc. etc. are both actively insulting the viewer’s intelligence and antagonizing their customer’s for calling out the garbage that they are. Fucking hell. Please bring back intelligent entertainment! I need a 4h season. Oh and I’m completely fine with the rest of Hollywood continuing to strike until the day Hell freezes over!

Many years ago, I got sick of movies & TV and only watched an occasional one I found interesting. It's even worse in recent years. At the same time, I had been gaming on the PC for ages and, mixed with doing a lot of my jobs on computers, would get regularly burned out staring at screens anyway. So I started going back to tabletop gaming as a past-time hobby about a decade ago. Going back to a tactile analog experience, so to speak. Seems like I exercise my brain in different ways, especially with big comlicated ones. Fortunately there have been tons of solitaire and co-operative ones coming out for years so I also don't have to limit them to scheduling with friends, although that's just another added facet. The gamer version of turning off the TV and reading a book.

And when I say "people", I mean the human beings who used to pay money for the Hollywood product. What were they called...oh yeah: Customers! But as has been made clear, Hollywood doesn't care what those people think any more. They are, in the eyes of Hollywood elites, deplorable, awful, icky and stupid. And the critics tell the denizens of Hollywood they're wonderful. Hollywood considers this a win. They reject the people who give them money, and pay people to tell them they're doing fine. Okay class, raise your hand if you can see a problem with this business model.

I got a talking to from an officer after that one. When I asked which part of what I said was actually incorrect he threatened to book me for insubordination. I handed him a pen and told him I would demand courts martial and during discovery I would force him to answer that same question to my satisfaction ON THE STAND. He told me to get out of his office. These people are moral cowards. Had ANYONE stood up to them over the last thirty years we wouldn’t be here right now. But I don’t care about Hollywood any more. I have over 2,000 books on my kindle, all of which are personally owned, so Amazon can’t remove them from my device, and almost all of which are published pre-1995. I honestly dont know how cinemas are dying that quickly; just a couple years ago ( i mean like 2018, im not that old ), the cinema was full of people on any Weekend evening, surely mustve been a couple hundred people, sitting, talking, waiting in line.. it was a place of social contact and connectivity. Now, just 5 years later, there are like 30 people in the waiting area at best, i have been in a couple films and the cinema has been at least 85% empty for all of them… i dont know how it happened so quick. It has lost its whole function as a social meeting point.. now you just go there, watch the film, then leave again.. its always very empty and feels kind of sad for me to see it like that. How fast things can change.. i think „going to the movies“ just isnt a thing anymore for Gen-Z

I used to be put off too by the appearance of and constant re-runs of 'old' shows (and there are terrible ones too, let's be honest - cult classic though it is, something like The Dukes of Hazzard isn't going to win a lot of writing contests, same with a tonne of old Western movies) but there is some real quality and class stuff from the past 90-something years.

I actually liked katness everdene in hungergames and jennifer lawrence was great in passenger.elizabeth swan in pirates evolved really well from pirates of the carabeian 1 to 3. Hermione granger from harry potter. Plenty of examples in cartoons and anime like kim possible. Your 2 examples are likely the most famous female protagonists and both are damn good characters. As long as the writing is strong and the arc is consistant then they can work just as well as a male protagonist.

Of course neither characters of Ripley or Sarah were superheros There's a definite suspension of belief required to watch the superhero genre and when it comes to female "superheros" their plausibility goes to less than zero. There is nothing remotely resembling them in the actual real world. At least with men there are real men that have done incredible things that border into near superhero status. Think about Rudder's Rangers that scaled those impossible cliffs at Pointe du Hoc to knock out the Reich's big guns overlooking the ocean as part of the D Day assault. There are a lot of such heroic deeds accomplished by men that on examination come close to looking like feats of impossibility, but they actually happened. Women heroes are heroic in a different manner - but those bear no resemblance to the Woke political fabrications of Hollyweird. One of the sad things about Woke feminism is where it attempts to hoodwink women into thinking they need to be like men in all respects - which the obvious implication of Woke feminism therefore is its covert view that there is something inherently inferior about being female vs male. Hence all the false projection. So sad. So sad.

18:14 It does not help that we do not see many kids playing the lead characters of movies anymore either. (sigh) I miss the good old days of A Christmas Story, Home Alone and Matilda. Maybe it is because Disney and Nickelodeon sitcoms lessened the demand or the interest for big-screen movies about kids. At least in 2019, Good Boys had a fresh subversive take on the genre of kid-focused movies by having the kids discover inappropriate grown-up things for the first time, so kids are the main focus of Good Boys, but they are not also the target audience.

I do not. Hollywood has had a stranglehold on "culture" for over 70 years. They ceaselessly promote political and social propaganda. Television tells you what WARS to care about, for example - did you know the US is still at war in Syria? How about Yemen? Out of sight out of mind. The have been pushing social attitudes for at least 50 years. It completely distorts and perverts perception. I can tell if somebody watches television merely by how they act, and what social attitudes they've adopted. I used to be a movie buff, but typically those were weird, different, esoteric films generally, but even in those now I see agendas being pushed. I have grown to hate it. Nothing is worthwhile.

Wstein and the lot are the tip of the iceberg, and most people are only willing to accept them is because the legacy media TOLD them to. The truth is much darker, deeper and disgusting. Look for people who have been labeled craaaazy'spiracy people if you can handle it.

Btw, is anyone buying it's just Harvey and Kevin in Hollywood? They're the only two "bad ones" in the whole place? No other well-known predators everyone's keeping quiet about and kissing butt for their careers?

Apathy has been mixed with a little bit of anger. A majority of the public right now are not in a forgiving or forgetting mood and have no issues punishing any business or institution that is woke or an appearance of woke. Especially Hollywood that is and has been very out of touch with their audiences for quite a while.

AI is a "plagiarism machine" while JJ Abrams and other writers made Star Wars "The Force Awakens" where the entire films from beginning to end was a complete knock off of Episode 4/A New Hope - Dark lord barges in attacking a group of innocent people - Rebel sends a droid out into a desert planet to keep mcguffin away from said dark lord - R2-D2 knock off (BB-8) - Tatooine knock off - Rebel gets captured by dark lord - Main protagonist droid and becomes a Jedi - Main protagonist meets a wise elderly mentor (Ben Kenobi - Han Solo) who teaches them about the force and its significance - Protagonist escapes desert planet in Millennium Falcon - Millennium Falcon destroys multiple Tie Fighters - Mentor takes main protagonist to a bar filled with various alien species - Female character gets kidnapped by dark lord and sent to Death Star - A copy and paste Death Star - Small group of heroes raid Death Star to save female character - Elderly mentor killed before heroes on said Death Star by said Dark lord - Death Star destroyed Absolute plagiarism at its worse. And don't even get me started on how much TLJ and TROS are rip offs of ESB and ROTJ too.
