[No sound, Version 1.0] ANDROMEDA GALAXY (M31) Image Processing by Siril

Settle in, relax, and enjoy the wonder of the processing as this video is designed without spoken commentary, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the celestial beauty of our universe.
This video shows a typical example of TIFF image processing for a deep sky object, the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). The original image was pre-processed and obtained from 3 days observation with a total observation time about 40 mins. They were acquired by my old DSLR with a 300mm lens without any auto-tracking system at a Bortle class 8-9 zone.

I also see myself as a beginner in this journey. It's always been surprising to see the unexpected results our simple digital camera can achieve in deep sky imaging. Let's progress together and clear sky!

Thanks a lot, you enlighted me on how to preserve star colors. I was wondering if it was light pollution that was causing my galaxies images look bleached but it was too aggressive stretch without highlight protection. I would have done it differently outisde of Siril though but ofc that's just my taste :) again: thank you very much :)

Thank you for leaving this encouragement message. As you mentioned, light pollution affects a lot on the broadband target, such as reflection nebulae, galaxies, and stars, due to the specific emission from the artificial light sources (kzread.info/dash/bejne/aHqhj9WHh5W2mdY.htmlsi=Z9eZpLL_9CY_a7EH&t=778).

How many light frames did you use? Also what was the light frame setting?

It was from three nights data, and I forget the exact number of the total light frames because it was untracked. However, I do recorded a rough integration time, and it was about 40 mins in total. The camera settings for all subframes were 1.3 seconds, ISO 3200 with a300mm f/4 lens on a tripod.
