I cannot freaking believe that all I had to do was unplug my TV and replug my TV back into the wall. I thought my brand new fire stick Was broken and that my TVs HDMI ports were not working, but nope. I just had to unplug and replug in my damn TV. Thanks man I appreciate you

thank you for this fix. My bluray player lost sound. swapped hdmi cables, did not fix the problem. My player is region free that I purchased 3 months ago. I thought it was the player. It plays without sound. Resetting the TV, a Samsung, did the fix. TY TY TY you saved me $150 for a new player.

My SuperJoey was working fine until one morning coudlnot get audio...just picture. I've been using HDMI since installation day. I tried different hdmi cables,rca cables(this one work fine but picture quality was bad) Until I found this video and did what is said. It did work. Thanks. Dont forget to unplug your tv for.minutes and plug it back in.

Hi Ben I tried for hours attempting to sort the zero audio. Indeed even installed the Firestick to another TV to prove that it was not faulty, worked perfectly. Wish I had investigated KZread earlier. The simplest thing of unplugging the TV for 30 seconds sorted the problem thanks very much for suggesting it

A million thumbs up! It worked and if you have any surge protectors just unplug everything from the wall and go about your business for a few minutes come back replug and BAM! sound!

Glad to help. Yeah I see many people on directly help write in to complain that their xbox one isn't working, only to find out that they're using a surge protector. You should never use a surge protector with the xbox one as they have one built in, therefore using an external surge protector will limit the amount of power going to the console. If the xbox one isn't getting enough power it won't switch on, it's as simple as that.

I fixed it!! My TV was set to 'analog' at the HDMI setting...done when I had to reset my universal remote. I set it to 'auto' and now have sound back.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend that you reset your tv by unplugging it including everything that is connected to it. Wait about 30 seconds and then plug the tv in but leave any device disconnected from the tv, this will hopefully rule out the tv being faulty. If the tv works with no other devices plugged in (sky, virgin media, cable etc) then a device that was plugged into the tv has a fault. If however the tv still doesn't work and nothing else is plugged into the tv then I recommend you refer to your tvs manual, failing that you could always contact your local tv repair shop.

Such a simple thing to do, I told myself DUH!!!!!! THANK YOU SIR
