No sir, all THIRTEEN! - EDIT - All New Who Doctors Save Gallifrey - The Day of The Doctor
Ойын-сауық
The War Doctor, the 9th Doctor, the 10th Doctor, the 11th Doctor and the 12th Doctor all save Gallifrey! That's right, all 13!
Gallifrey falls no more - re-imagination parody.
I initially tried to make this as close to the original as possible, whilst just adding in more of the 9th and 12th Doctors, however it has ended up being quite different!
I have manually subtitled the entire video, so feel free to make good use of them!
N.B. Despite the title, the line 'No sir all 13!' doesn't feature in this video, because the 12th Doctor is introduced much earlier than in the original.
Doctor Who 50th remake/rescore.
For the original, 'No sir, all THIRTEEN! - Peter Capaldi's 1st Scene as Twelfth Doctor - The Day of the Doctor - BBC' see here: • No sir, all THIRTEEN! ...

So much anger and hatred. This is not who i am" He cant bare to look out of pure shame. Bravo for such a clever edit!

I still like to believe it that this scene is the bootstrap paradox that gave the Doctor more regenerations. Since 12th came to help it made 12 doctors an important detail in gallifreys survival so they were forced to help him.
Not the scene we got, but certainly the scene we deserved. VERY well done. 😂

This is brilliant. I love the way you've repurposed 11 going to Trenzalore, and the whole bit with the TARDIS not wanting to cross his own timestream that way. Because as bad as visiting your own Grave could be... the destruction of Gallifrey was a pretty goddamn Fixed Point in Time. But then... so was the Doctor's death on the beach. This was my first exposure to the clip, and hearing the 11th Doctor yelling "Hang on!!!" while The Majestic Tale plays still gives me chills. I'm still watching through Doctor Who, and I haven't reached Name of the Doctor yet, but I can't imagine the music that actually plays will work as well for me there. (I actually started with Series 5 and got up to the 2012 Christmas special before starting over at Series 1; My plan is to return to Series 7b after finishing the last half or so of Series 4 and the rest of the Tennant specials.)
As good as it was and as great as Hurt's performance was...this confirms my "selfish" belief that this anniversary would have been even better with Eccleston involved. Well done, and thank you!
I’ll admit, the final part with Hurt up to Capaldi wrestling with their Tardises was actually better than the original footage. I think seeing five Doctors back and forth really cements the scale of the show.
you could almost mistake this as a scene from the actual episode. It is really well edited and for the better, it adds that extra interaction with the other two doctors and works nicely. Fantastic!!

These 4 would have been golden on screen together. I can imagine 9, 12 and the war Doctor RIP, ripping the piss out of 10 and 11 because of how young they are and the silly habits they had picked up.
I like that you can clearly see that John Hurt's Doctor is "wearing a bit thin" due to his shaking hands. This is an ancient man who's at the end of his rope, the end of his life, but damn it, he's gonna go out in a blaze of glory!
I think this is the best re-imagining I've seen of this scene!

That is absolutely superb. There are some small issues with speed and things but I'm sure you could say the same about mine. Very enjoyable and nice use of he hologram scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
@Phoenix-bi9bn
9 жыл бұрын
If you would like to know, you understand this is constructive, I'm not in anyway insulting it cause it's amazing. Well sometimes the clips you used are short so you have slowed them down a touch, can't fault you, but it makes them a little jumpy so they stand out. Also in the holograms you added which I love, very nicely recreated, the faces are too close to the 'camera' but that's due to the way they were originally shot. And I guess the sound could do with work, making the quality match so it sounds more fluid. But I can't blame you, I have the same issues myself. Otherwise it's faultless
@DrJohnWho
9 жыл бұрын
Phoenix 24 Thanks for the pointers, none of the full-screen clips have been slowed (some have been slightly sped up) but I would agree, in some of the hologram circles if you watch the Doctor who isn't speaking, sometimes they are moving/blinking etc. really slowly! I've tried to minimise it, but as you say, it is still noticeable. In terms of the sound, it jumps in two places that it didn't in the edit - I've tried re-exporting/rendering it, but with no luck - that's right at the beginning about half a second in the sound jumps, and then when the 11th Doctor appears at 12 seconds, although that seems to work quite well, like he has an unstable connection. I've done my best to make the sound match the clips, however for a handful of the holographic shots, the audio doesn't sound quite right, not quite muffled enough, or sometimes the tone is slightly out. I'm happy with everything else sound wise - I put a lot of work into it, and if you watch it without music, you would see just how many layers of audio their are... I've just had a look, and the most audio clips at a time are at 3.31, where 9 are active all at once! Loads of TARDIS flyby sound effects, all coming from different angles to make it feel like surround sound, noises for the stasis cube, wind sounds building for the explosion and the music. Whenever we're on the Doctor there are usually background TARDIS sound effects, buttons/lever noises, his speech and the music all going on at the same time! FYI I've now added subtitles. I saw you've typed them up for your video, so I thought it might be an idea to do the same, as the automatic ones were terrible, nothing like what was being said.
@Phoenix-bi9bn

Haha fair enough, ye like I say I can't do any better myself, you've done an amazing job to do what you did. And as for the subtitles i'll watch it again, mine were the same
Tenth Doctor: Gonna need my 3D specs for this.
i love how 12's tardis was the most obedient, not really doing much of resisting the whole thing, just sparking a little while every other doctor had to pusb the tardis to do it, its like she already knew "yea nah I've done this twelve times, its alright"
I'm happy to see the tenth worked into this fragment, I kinda really missed him in this actual episode
11th Doctor "She's just figured out where we're going, the Tardis doesn't like it!" Meanwhile 10th Doctor "Behave!!"
I love the fact that every doctor is explaining it calmly and then there's nine: I'M GONNA WIPE EVERY STINKING DALEK OUTTA THE SKY
3:15 lol "behave!"
This is so well done! I especially like where the 12th Doctor is listening to them slightly amused as he would remember saving Gallifrey. Having just a few lines from other Doctors really does complete this scene for me.
Nice to see them all together and the choice of clips as well as the part where the TARDIS fights back and all 5 Doctors flip a switch while Hurt booms "Gallifrey stands" were great. The only complaint I have is the pacing, especially due to the extra lines explaining the plan from Tennant, Smith and Hurt, which they already said to Clara mere moments ago. In The Day of the Doctor, all of the Doctors showed up without making the scene feel too long. They got straight to the point and Capaldi's cameo in particular was a perfect example of less is more. By throwing in lines from 2 extra Doctors and adding more lines from the 3 Doctors who already starred in the episode, it doesn't have quite the same impact.
this is a really cool version of "no sir, all THIRTEEN! :)
Hey, this is awesome! Why couldn't they do it like that in the actual scene? And they could get Tennant, Smith and Hurt at least to film anything they wanted whereas you had to hunt down clips from everywhere. *Very* nice job.

When he said "she knows where we are going and she's against it" (11th Doctor) I laughed cuz I remembered that episode! Awesome video! I'm sad that the real scene didn't end up like that!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
this would look soo great on a special edition/ directors cut dvd!
And here I was thinking the only way to make this MORE epic would be to show Rose helping the Ninth Doctor in what little footage we got of him and seeing the Tenth Doctor struggle to hold back a wave of guilt seeing her face again. You have proven me wrong.
Oh wow! I love this one. It would have gotten ahead of 12's timeline, but... this is the way it should have been done!
The War, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th should've said there catchpharses (with 11 saying Geronimo, 10 saying Allons-Y, 9 saying Fantasitc, War saying Gallifery Stands, and then ending with 12 saying Shutty Up Up)
@DrJohnWho

+Alex James there were two reasons I left the catchphrases out of this edit. The first was because I felt I would have had to crowbar them in, as the way the script developed these lines didn't naturally occur. Secondly, prior to this I had created several other versions of this scene, in which the catchphrases were used, so I might have just been a bit bored of them by the time I got to this video. Saying that I like the idea, so I may make a one off video with that happening. :-)

iain paton Thanks for the positive reaction. I made it by using lots and lots of layers of different clips and sections of audio. I think I have up to 8 layers of audio - different sound effects, speech and music - being used at the same time, and about 11 or 12 different video clips and effects in use at once at some points. Then the challenge is making sure they all work together at the same time, so you can't tell that they've been layered!
Now this is quite AWESOME

Definitely one of the better fan edits of this scene (if not *the* best). But I'm also watching this thinking 'Man I wish I could access the project files to help you refine this, make it the best it can be'. What you've got here's damn good man, it'd be a shame if this didn't get a remaster of sorts.
More dialogue and clips from the first eight Doctors would have been a good idea, and you certainly have the capability to have done that.
If i watched this outside of knowing about what Doctor Who is, I'd think of Nines little outburst as cringey, but since I'm _In_ the fandom, {and ignoring this being fanmade.} I could definitely excuse his little outburst to how elated and angry he is with being able to save Gallifrey, whilst Frothing with anger about the daleks. So sweet.
So incredibly well done. I wish this was how it had gone down.
