No Sew Couch Reupholster| Time for a “new” couch
Ойын-сауық
Hey Boo Hey! In today’s video I am so sick and tired of looking at my old well loved couch. The couches that I bought start at about $1000 and right now that it’s just not in the budget. So I saw a hack on social media where curtains are used as upholstery fabric to recover large pieces of furniture but I needed to adopt it because I am not a person that sews. So I thought that I would give it a shot. Did this hack work or was it a complete flop??

That was a job in it self. Good good. I was shown if you use Dacron around pillow that might help the wrinkles
She did an amazing job but the weight of the fabric per oz is not the same as upholstery fabric so it will wear out at the pressure points in a few years. Just like the knees on your jeans the arms of the sofa will go thin first. A solution is to double the material at the bend of the armrest.

Thank you so much!!! I love the way it turned out! It’s really like having a new couch
It's amazing how the look of a sofa or any seat can be almost completely transformed just by changing its upholstery. Personally, I've always liked leather upholstery, but it isn't always possible to have a leather sofa at home. We currently have an LC3 Sofa from Manhattan Home Design, and I'd like to learn how to upholster it so I can do it myself when the time comes.

What was the cloth you stapled on the couch, what kind of stapler did you use & what was that spray you used as adhesive please? I’m trying to reupholster our reclining double couch- very difficult as the 2 are connected in the middle and is immovable from the floor- it’s an rv couch. Thank you very much!

Just make sure it is ELECTRIC ... believe me you'll be happy you paid a little more ... just a hand stapler will kill your hand later on.
Great diy how long did the project take? What level easy, intermediate or advanced skills required. What tools needed. Great job

I would say this was pretty easy. I am not someone who is very skilled at DIY projects and this took me about two days to complete with no skill. Are used to have a gorilla spray glue, a stapler and staples, and scissors.
