I have a similar couch I got on Amazon like 4 years ago that started falling apart like right away, and I've been looking to reuphoster it but all the videos I've seen have been for actual couches, not futons, so I was a little intimidated. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable trying it on my own.

Now who disliked this? It's a darn couch! Cute sis!

That's smart, that 4-way stretch fabric! I'm getting ready to reupholster the same exact piece of furniture and am trying to do my homework first. So thank you for that great idea on the 4-way, I'm definitely gonna try n find a solid or print that I really like in that fabric type. Also, positioning it word the 'T' pins is brilliant cuz I'm that person who just gets in there and start stapling from the get. I did have one question that I've been trying to find the answer to that you probably know, the cease on the middle where it pens and closes, I didn't notice but did you add some staples along that crease as well so the fabric automatically pulls right and down into the cease when setting up or does it just naturally do that? I've put sheets that maybe I had too tight because when I moved it from an opened to sofa position the sheet lifted kind of like a tent or something, in the middle. When I go to put a more permanent fabric to reupholster I don't want that to happen. Yours looks perfect, girl. So any help I'd be so thankful. Alright, well, take care and God bless. #LoveThatSofa
