No Possession was born out of No Possession Blues 2018.
No Possession Blues started out as a blues/rock band and recorded two albums (No Possession Blues, Patchwork).
The quartet No Possession Blues from Vaggeryd in Sweden is a live act of great Blues/Rock and Rockabilly with really high quality.
When the band started back in 2009 all the focus was already then on entering the stages as much as possible to show everyone their new era of own written blues/rock songs and to entertain people who's tired of the cheap commercial fake-music we hear today.
2011 the band won both the jurys votes and the audience votes when they entered the Scandinavien Blues Contest and won the entire competition.
Their self-titled album was released on 18th of January on Doolittle Group and the expectations are now high for this blues/rock quartet that has taken everyone by storm already!
They won the Scandinavian Blues contest 2011 and played a lot of gig around Scandinavia and Europe.
But after a couple of line-up changes they decided to deviate from the blues genre and shorten the name to No Possession.
Micko Ylinikka started to work on some new material and came up with 12 new great songs and the band found their path.
The band started to work on the new material like they were training for a championship fight. Producing the songs together in the studio made the band a tight knit unit with a unique rock ‘n roll sound.
You will hear echoes from the past (Rolling Stones, Faces, Deep Purple, Black Crowes, Aerosmith) and sounds from today (John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa, Rival Sons).
No Possession captures the sweet old rock ‘n’ roll vinyl sound. They are looking forward to go out on the road and deliver high octane live shows again.
