No Place Like Home - A Post Apocalyptic Film Made With DJI Mavic Pro Drone

Фильм және анимация

No Place Like Home
In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by an extraterrestrial catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, one man, Marshall Adams, struggles to cope with his newfound life. Marshall spends his days hunting for food, scavenging for supplies, and searching for his family from whom he was separated. In the face of the imminent danger brought upon by the apocalypse, Marshall will soon learn that the true danger is one which lies sinisterly within, an evil which hits much closer to home.
This film was made entirely with the DJI Mavic Pro drone. To our knowledge this is the longest film to ever be made exclusively with a drone, and although challenging at times, we believe this demonstrates the vast cinematic capabilities and advantages which this drone and others alike can have when it comes to filmmaking.
A majority of the music in this film was produced by CO.AG, and we would definitely recommend checking out this channel as well.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! Hope you enjoy!!!

Ok i couldnt stop seeing the fresh cut lawn, the cell phone in the pocket, the haircuts nicely edged up on the neck, the pellet gun instead of rifle, the lights are on in the home, Marshal looks like a 26 year old but has been married for ten years. Not bad camera work though, good transitions, not a bad idea but the acting was like watching Napolean dynamite and Pedro. Lol

I suggest you write and produce a short film for yourself, by yourself. Not every detail is tended to due to actors who have never hunted, and directors who did that very thing in their own lives. But if you are unable to create your own short film, please shut up. Jealousy is ugly on anyone.

@@greggi47 Lawns are the bane of shooting post-apocalyptic movies on location. Plenty of people already have solar panels or generators for electricity; so that can remain consistent with the plot. But lawns are a problem unless the film can find a town willing to let itself be temporarily "trashed", like that town in "The Day After" in 1983 did. Lawns are also a disgusting waste of water, space, and pesticides. I'd rather have a garden. . .

Second, he is walking around in a possible hostile environment without any kind of weapon for protection. Third, power still on water still on. Let me tell you all they could not keep the power or the water on when we had the snow storm and below zero temperatures here in Texas. So, how the heck with the apocalypse the water and the power still on?🤪😁 okay, maybe he has a generator.🤔. Anyway, the story is trying. Good try though.

Does he have time to follow around a screaming animal for 5 miles or does he have FU ammo to waste. For someone who's hunted since he was 8 there is no excuse. It got me mad. I however-AM NOT. I was a CASTING agent for Rynolds PRODUCTIONS & CADTING IN ATLANTA GA, AND.... u know what- they just DONT GET IT. This film would NOT have worked as well with any other voice or actor. He did a great job of showing us hope, in a depressing lonely state of the world and mankind. He is WEARY, he is HOLDING ON and its DREARY. U did a fine job of acquiring the RIGHT MAN AS THE LEAD, these guys with their opinion, is just that- their opinion, and they r entitled to that, but their bitter words ought not to phase you, because they are WRONG. How do they imagine your star should speak and behave?....Like the joker? Come on. There is a genuine cadence which is rich in the hollow lonely hours which he certainly conveys well. Everything is perfect in this film. Dont doubt yourself. U did VERY WELL.

Naw, the domestic animals will mostly die; but the humans from the cities will starve long before they'll become adept enough to hunt actual _wildlife._ In our area there are deer and coyotes and foxes and twice a year wolves (who pass through going south in autumn and north in spring) but they're canny creatures. City people won't stand a chance of catching wildlife for game.

I watched ten minutes, trying to distinguish him from the trees and the furniture, his acting was so wooden and that dreary monotone, like an annoying insect. And what's with all the 'sir' in the dialogue. Why so 'polite'. It makes the character sound weak and submissive, something I sure wouldn't want to come across as in a post-apocalyptic world. OK that's it for me. I lasted 15 minutes.

The basic messages are simplified, such as family values and Christian faith, etc., and there are many people who will like that. But it's not for me. (BTW, the director doesn't know how to do a proper "sign of the cross.") I suggest the producer/director get a good writer, because I had to cringe on many of the lines. Concerning realism, there's too much to ask from me. The neighborhood still is meticously maintained, electricity still powers society, and on and on. Much of it is a lesson on family values and some weird things like advertisements for Lloyd's Amarretto seem to be obvious plants.
