ETH wants to play a high press. We're doing that with a front 6, with a back 4 that can't push up because the fit combos of Maguire/Evans/Lindelof can't play a high line because they're all easily done on the half turn. I am convinced our best CB pairing right now is Martinez and Kwambala. Lots of pace and defensive awareness. So they can push up and play on the half turn. As it stands there's a huge gap between midfield and defence and the CB pairing can't play good football.

Liverpool have 2 draws against United, 2 draws against City, 1 draw and a loss against Arsenal and 1 draw to Chelsea. Every single time so far this season when Liverpool needed to show up, they didn't. That sloppiness in the final third in the biggest games cost them the league in the 21/22 season when they couldn’t beat a single team in the Top 4 that year.

Man Utd have obviously got some kind of resilience about them and their quality got them out of trouble today. I just wonder about Steve McClaren’s influence as a coach there as they do remind me of England when they didn’t qualify for Euro 2008, Middlesborough on their crazy run in Europe and Newcastle when they last got relegated. As for Liverpool, maybe their wasteful finishing is just typical of good players who’ve not really been in a title race for a while (Salah), or ever (Nunez, Diaz). Grealish back for Man City is very important, they look much better with him in the team. They’re still conceding too many goals this year though, and I still think their slightly inferior goal difference and overabundance of draws can be traced back to the departures of Mahrez and Gundogan who were two extremely special and very seasoned players for them.

ETH overachieved last season without the injury issues This season struggled with injuries which likely has an effect on style of play with how high up defensive line for example. Main point is that we didn’t have these conversations as to what the style of play was and gaps in midfield last season, so my idea is you have to back him

Manchester United recruit talent and skill. I'm not convinced they recruit players who excel at learning and adapting.

I’m a Liverpool fan. Many Liverpool fans simply underestimate United. Just because United are not doing well, doesn’t mean you can just beat them for 3-1 easy. Every premier league game is hard.

I can see what he's getting at, but he's slightly wrong. I fear for Arsenal if they go a goal down. I'm confident if it's 0-0, but Arsenal are the worst team out of the other two to handle being a goal down. If you've noticed, this hasn't happened this year, and the last time it did, West Ham beat them. I'm not saying that Arsenal will definitely lose if they go a goal down, but they're the worst at coming back between the top 3.

The worst part is that as long as they keep getting by on this “chaos football” combined with individual talent the more it validates Ten Hag

Ten hag will come good once he get proper Deffence. Dalot cb1 cb2 lb. We don't have them. Also a cdm to back casemiro and striker to compete hojlund. Then we can be title contender. We need to sign 5 players Cb, cb, cdm, lb, st.

always Jamie as the special guest when lierpool play united. this is boss content. especially with the chemistry Nev and Carra have.

Casemiro’s passing was really poor in this game. He’s not been at the level he was last season. He has also had injuries. Cannot see how you expect a consistent performance when you view all the injuries. How many different players have played left back this season. Antony (!) for one… We’ve given away two penalties at left back made by right back players, in two games. Plenty of goals leaked from that side too throughout the season. I believe United have done well. Hojlund, Garnacho, Manoo and now Kwmbala. McTominay and Maguire back to some form. Great to have Evans back. Onana, like all new keepers at United in their first season has cost us. He’s starting to settle. Amad’s goal and the stadium reaction. Then the off the field issues with Greenwood, Sancho, Antony and to a lesser extent Rashford. And all the faff with the sale / no sale / INEOS changes… Still in the FA Cup. That would be a good season if we win it. Good chance to get to final. Team deserve support as does the manager. His win ratio percentage is still better than SAF… Brentford game was a tired team all back from Internationals. Garnacho especially.

I'm no Utd fan, but that was never a pen in a million years.

I am a United fan and when I saw it in the game I thought it was, having seen an alternate angle, it's a really obvious dive. 3 penalties in the last two games and all 3 dubious at best.

Maguire is a 5 th choice. Licha verane lindalof evan Maguire. In that order.

Arsenal have Saliba this time around healthy and Gabriel is almost as good. And one more thing: everybody talks up Palmer as the signning of the season, nah, it's Declan Rice for Arsenal. Without him Gunners'd be firmly in 3rd by now with no chance for ascending in table, watching Liverpool and City battle it out for the title.

United has super talented players on the attack, if they upgrade their back line they could be back in champions league after next season.

One thing to always remember, as bad we have been for 10 years we have the same amount of premier league titles as liverpool (1) in the last 10 years. Liverpool have only had 2 good seasons since 2010 AND was average for 27 years before that people seem to forget this

i respect Nevilles tactical view as he show us his capabilities as Valencia manager. they were flying.

Carragher says "if Jota plays today...." but Utd are crap and it shouldn't come down to that one player. Utd were missing Martinez, Varane and Shaw: all first team players. Rashford, Casemiro and Bruno have had poor seasons by their standards: they were three of Utd's four or five most important players last season and this season they been nowhere near their best. I don't see how you can complain about one player being out against Utd who are missing players and performances like they are. Kambwala did really well for a young CB but he's fifth choice for them, alongside Maguire who is probably third choice at best and with no recognised left-sided defender at all.

Why do they keep talking about City's perfection and consistency? City have literally not picked up points as consistently as Liverpool or Arsenal so far. Statistically, Man City are more likely to drop points than the other two. It's literally fact, black and white.

TBH, I can see both LPool and Arsenal drop points and City will win all their games and win the title. But with their 115 charges, the title counts for little.

​@LA-fr7fx 11 players go to the pitch every weekend for man city. They do their job as they should. What's going on above them is out of their control. It doesn't count for little. The Man City players played those 90 minutes and earned those wins, u may not count it as much, but unbiased neutrals like myself can acknowledge that these are a fantastic lot of players of whom many are jealous of because their teams aren't in the position they're in.

Liverpool always struggle against the smaller teams.

As a United fan i personally feel some of these players are uncoachable because apparently they think they are better than they actually are. When you start thinking that then no manager can make you do what they want…. The only manager that could have made a difference was Van Gaal. But we know what happened there
