I love the writers room logic for this character. "You know how shadow was a dark angsty version of Sonic? What if there were a dark angsty version of SHADOW!"

Everything in this villain introduction is a highlight. From "Welcome yo Tilted Towers" to his whole intro to his name and Japanese salute, to "There's a new trend going around called Kinning". This guy Chase really went HARD on this character and I think I've never seen such a hilarious improv in my life XDDD I now aspire to do a villain intro as funny as him xdd

no because this is so wonderfully orchestrated to be considered improv. there is something so powerful about “welcome to tilted towers… i am memphis, tennessee” being said like its supposed to make sense. this shit is so genius

it is because of this dub that i find myself unironically saying Mephiles the way Shadow does here and it has taken over my life
