For a man with so much talent the amount of professionalism and hard work he put is insane. He had great numbers even past his prime and never stopped being tactically correct. If you take a look at many of his passing videos, you will see he always knows where his teammate will be and how to find him, even the way he pauses to do his tricks, creates so much focus on him that opens up the play for all the others.

Because its so rare that somecan dribble and has physics like dino. Dino dribbled and bodied almost any defender. His prime would deal a lot of damage in this time frame too. Just like cr7 manu kid and messi barca kid. They would still just run pass people. Neymar had the skill, but never the body.

Yeah, an emphasis on physicality has made football look more "rough" aesthetically, whereas before, or at least during Ronaldinho's time football looked more artful, more elegant when you watched it. Now, every play, pass, cross, shot, etc is well thought out and practiced and defined within a set tactical system, which makes the game look less spontaneous and more mechanical, "rehearsed" if you want to call it that way. The creativity of the playmaker, the number 10s, is what gave football its flare. They embodied the soul/spirit of the beautiful game. Honestly, I don't care that Messi has won 1000 trophies. Ronaldinho will always be the best on a technical level. Messi wins trophies. Ronaldinho creates art. Therein lies the difference, and my preference for the type of footballer I enjoy watching falls more to the latter than to the former.

His peak was more like 2002-2005, in 2006 he no longer had the same speed and explosion as before, his dribbling was clearly better in 2002-2005 than in 2006 so for compensate he focused more in the passes (the match against Mallorca Away in 05/06 is a perfect example). Many people say that his level drop during or after the World Cup 2006 but his level already started to drop before the World Cup 2006…

@@nomorechain In 2006/2007, he scored a free kick in the away game and was a part of the first goal in the home game against Valencia. The only games where he scored a header and a free kick in 06/07 are : Zaragoza Home 06/07 and Racing Santander Home 06/07. I think the game you’re referring is Zaragoza Home when he almost had an hat-trick. You have 2 other games who show a sign of prime Ronaldinho in 06/07: Villarreal Home and Bilbao Home.
