No need to hypermile? | NEW smart #1 long range test | 2023 smart #1 Premium SUV review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

How much range is enough range? Well, if it can get you to your destination it must be enough, right? In this video, we take a slightly different look at long-distance driving with an electric car and we won't be trying to see how far the car can take us on one charge! Doing a typical weekend long drive, we put both the new smart #1 to the test along with the public charging network.
Join us for a journey from Bishop's Stortford to Bishop's Stortford, via the city of Lincoln for a bit of sightseeing.

Glad for someone to take a realistic view to range, when I first got my electric car I had range anxiety due to everyone going on about it. But after a few months and a few 300+ mile trips I realised a lot of the time I was wanting to have a break well before I was below 60%. Never had any issues with chargers or ques at them like everyone says maybe I am just lucky. Just ordered the Smart #1 Brabus

I’ve had my Smart #1 Brabus for 6 weeks and 1,100 miles. I get 250 miles in Comfort and 200 miles in all wheel drive Brabus mode but I do like the traffic lights gran prix, 0-60 3.7 seconds standing quarter mile 12.1 seconds. ❤

Why did you mean “should leave the car on charge 10 hours more than is required”?

I drove a Brabus #1 last weekend and fell in love, then out again with no HSW. I have advanced arthritis and poor circulation, both of which half when using a HSW. Its annoying, the rest of the world has it . I did think the same as you re the suede etc, but I wont take the chance. Thanks for the feedback/info though

In Germany they started rolling out OTA updates to activate the heated steering wheel, probably the same for the rest of Europe?

I just dont understand how we dont have a heated steering wheel. I can survive without ventilated seats, but a heated steering wheel should be standard in 2023. I love the froot, but I was surprised that it is just an inch or two too small to hold the more rugged 22kW type 2 cables. I am almost sure I could easily store my 11kW but the one you get from Smart is pretty massive :/ Can I assign seats and mirror settings to profile, and then profile to the fob? so I got mine and my wife got her profile loaded as soon as she open the car with her fob?

Just took my Premium on a 48 miie drive, but it used 70 miles of range. Steady 65/70 with for 46 miles of that, with five miles of 40mph roadworks. That would give me only 187 real world miles. Or only 2/3 of the advertised range. This was driving in Eco mode with strong regen. Is there a better setting for motorway driving? Right now I'm not happy.

Try turning off regen on motorways and just use it in urban areas. Should give better efficiency and smoother trip.
