I think that 10 days slab for cancellation charge will be the most effective solution. And the other solution should be like what flight companies do, dynamically add special trains anytime there is a surge in a particular route in 30 minutes gap from the primary train, it would be much more complicated operationally, but now that everything is software controlled, I think operation wise it can be done, main problem would be logistics...to get extra coaches and locomotives, I guess it can be solved by always keeping backup coaches/locos...it would be still better solution than introducing completely new trains in every route.

Dear friend I don’t agree with you over this dynamic fare plan as it is hard earned money and 10 days gap is not been practical in 10 days everything changes a lot. Money is hard to earn it is not to be given as free to anyone.

@@RahulSh125 Yes, anything can change during 10 Days, that's exactly why this kind of slab is necessary, it's so that people don't book tickets in 2-3 months in advance and people who need tickets in emergency can book tickets during the last week. As per current system, people and travel agencies hoard tickets by booking them 3 months in advance, whereas most people decide only during last week of journey, this system will help them. This is not meant to punish people by deducting their money, this is so that people/agencies don't just book tickets in the first place and let people book available tickets only when necessary.
All your suggestion will directly impact on the pockets of middle class Both dynamic and cancellation refund rule as proposed by you will cost us a lot When we book premium tatkal ticket then the cost of sleeper reaches more than 3rd AC thats why dynamic is not the option to reduce waiting list because this will only increase the revenue but people who are willing to go will be same In most of the cases people want confirm whether the train taking 1/2 hrs extra they don't consider it Secondly no one cancel their trip unless they don't have some valid reason that's why it should be the same as railway is levying on us

free me chaiye tum logon ko travel , BC 510 Rs for 1000 Km travel in sleeper , tatkal me 300 rs aur jod le, Because of these subsidies IR has remained in losses and was never abel to spend money on improving the infrastructure , I donot want to travel in these rickety old trains , Sleeper, General are anyways causing huge losses, Even among AC classes it is only the 3AC which earns some profit

Many times cost of 3rd AC due to dynamic charges in premium trains reaches almost equal to flight tickets & please don't talk about subsidies, it is not coming from your house,I pay income tax & gst from where it is distributed among the poorer of the poor NOTE: If you are that rich then it's my personal advice to you that you should travel by chartered plane not by trains

Being a die hard Rail Fan, I have some more suggestions: 1. Train's which have long routes like: Delhi Howrah Duranto Express/Rajdhani Express, must be end to end ticketing, bcz : no one will purchase ticket who dones't want to go to howrah, but wants to go to Patna/Gaya 2. Train's which are highly congested, thy should introduce a new clone train and automatically transfer waiting ticket to cloned one, and departure must be similar timings. 3. There must be passanger limit on general bogies, which will help to 8people to travel smoothly, if OverGot: Introduce new coaches, / trains/ transfer to the vacent one, 4. In Festival Seasons: Tickets from business shopes must be closed, 5. Ticketing pre booking shoud be stopped, buy ticket immidately, travel immidately on rooute, like foreign countries, 6. Tracks must be updated to highspeed 6. Doors must be closed in trains: 8, There must be a TT per coach, which leds no ticket no travel
The IR should remain the main mode of transportation for the poorest of the country. Dynamic price will eventually increase the revenue but the labour class will suffer the most (especially after decreasing the sleeper coaches day by day).

Bhai acha ye batao ki railways sleeper coaches ko decrease kar rahe hai. To is example me batao kaise waiting list karoge. Saryu Yamuna Express ( jaynagar-amritsar) me 2 sleeper ke coaches hai Waiting WL190 chal rahe hai to kaise confirm hoga. WL190 normal hai Indian Railways me. Ab time aa gaya hai ki Railways major routes par Sleeper aur AC ki alag trains chalaye.
One more thing while booking give preference for source to destination rather then in between journey

Mar gaya koi kisi ke ghar ya fir koi accident hogaya or trip cancel karna padega toh fir agar cancellation nahi ho payega toh kitni dikkat hogyi logon ko. Dynamic fare is also a terrible idea. Logic for cancellation of quota and general seats is flawed. The solution lies in increasing the capacity. The reasons advanced are impractical.

Increase sleeper coaches. My train going to Village used to have 15 sleeper coaches and we never had problems in waiting list. Now my train only have 8 sleeper coaches and it's giving too much problem. People are not purchasing tickets anymore because and they prefer giving bribe to TTE and get into every passenger seat. Train 12145/12146 Lokmanya tilak terminus to Puri. I once did online complaint as there were some people who entered my AC three tier and captured my seat and it became a problem. And TTE was also a jerk he let those people know who gave the complaint and they were bashing me to not adjusting.

Dheere dheere karke sabke pass paise aarahe hai. Most people can afford 3ac or 3ac economy travel. Sleeper coach ko saath rakh ke hum 30 saal aage ka sooch nahi sakte. Dheere Dheere sleeper hata denge.

जब ट्रेन कम होगी तो वेटिंग लिस्ट लंबी होगी ही। दिल्ली अहमदाबाद के बीच मात्र तीन से चार डेली ट्रेन है जबकि आवश्यकता छः सात ट्रेन की है। रेलवे की नीयत ही नहीं है wait लिस्ट खत्म करने की। वंदे भारत की जगह 24 कोच ट्रेन की ज्यादा आवश्यकता है देश में।

@@Warrenbuffet2221 Let's look at the chronology - 1st IR(Indian railways) introduced dynamic fare in Raj, shatabdi, duronto..then passenger count drops..then they increased stoppages of these trains citing low passenger count which in turn increases travel time... Thats how they are destroying good service trains to craps!! For example SDAH-BKN Duronto, HWH NDLS duronto...

Dynamic pricing should be removed for sleeper & 3AC. Only applicable for 2ac and above. Cancellation should not be provided for Sleeper & 3AC. if you book then use or else no refund.
