@@wheeltorque3918 the dragon and tiger cannot win over each other. Even in Yakuza, the protagonist Kiryu who is called the dragon, and Saejima the tiger, have not won over each other whenever they fought.

One of the most underrated boss fights in the series, honestly.

Sylvia didn't even give Travis a chance to kill him he was walking towards Ryuji as he was on his knees and she immediately opened fire.

So he does say something in the battle. "Come out, dragon!" he says.

Elemental Colors It does sound like he is saying, "Come out, you dragon!" But it could also be the swings of the Beam Katana that is throwing me off as it also sounds like he is saying: "Come out, Dragon!" Edit: Okay so I put out my head phones and he indeed says: "Come out, Dragon"

Ok to be fair when sylvia says that travis is making a bad habit of letting his opponents live Hes already kinda had that habit He didnt kill shinobu He didnt kill holly summers (she did it herself) He didnt kill kimmy powell and he didnt even wanna fight alice So its not really a bad habit because hes always done this and its not like it stopped him from climbing the ranks anyway so why should sylvia care Sylvia-"You want him to come back stronger and cut you i half" Travis - honestly i see no problem with what you just said XD

This here is my favorite fight out of them all epic cutscenes but bullcrap way of dying by being shot now if I'm correct and he's some sort of samurai for looseing he would kill him self so I find it sad how he goes RIP Ryuji

Overpbj 2 the very least Sylvia could’ve done is let Travis kill Ryuji. He would’ve given him a warriors end.

It’s tiger versus dragon Yin versus yang Mano y Mano I’d be lying if I didn’t say the sumo bike part sucked, but I’d also be lying if I didn’t say just how badass the actual fight was Ryuji, you were one of the greats, may you rest in peace

He was a true warrior and a true rival for Travis touchdown but then sylvia I have to ruin the moment 😤

He didn't even get to approach ryuji, all he did was shout and Silvia saw this as a sign to execute.

When I saw Ryuji setting himself up by his knees, I was expecting Travis to finish him off seppuku-style. God dammit Sylvia.

Well in NMH1, Holly Summer already mentioned this before but when an assassin lose their fight, they will die. So his dead is unavoidable. Thought i wish he could have a better death of course

@@Johnny_Galaxy The way he was going about in this game, he might've let him live, like he let Shinobu, and that schoolgirl chick. You could say he let Schoolgirl chick live due to him not liking to kill girls, but that'll be voided since he learned to deal with that fact in the first game. So really, the only reason he let the both of them live because he wanted to get stronger or something (I forgot, gonna edit this later on) and the same could apply to Ryuji, or he'll let him live because he wants a rival. So really, I guess Sylvia did what she did to protect him, in her own way. TL;DR Travis might've let him live, Sylvia killed the dude to protect Travis.

6:46-6:54 is literally me after I accomplish something difficult...this was me after winning the Shin Amon fight after being there for an hour (on NORMAL with max upgrades and items, mind you) and dying over and over again til I finally figured it out. Finishing that was SO satisfying, though... God, Travis will always be an absolute mood for me....he really is just like me...frfr...

Jokes aside, Considering that it's something all humans have, and that travis is portayed as a normal dude in cutscenes(outside of the mech shit and beam katana) she's probably just talking about willpower here or something

Theory: Ryuiji is actually Thunder Ryu's son, which is why he's a great warrior and earns Travis' respect.

They usually have an exception clause for particularly young combatants. Remember that Shinobu was spared and the agency might have even been the ones to fix her up with the mechanical hand.

She's referring to Shinobu, Kimmy is an optional boss fight so at that point in the game she might or might not have been fought. Travis very openly invites Kimmy to come back stronger and try to kill him while this is more of a foreshadowing for Shinobu's return which happens later in the game.
