    You know what's messed up? Vladimir probably didn't even know he was a ranked assassin. UAA most likely just sent assassins to him and he just killed them as retaliation, this repeated over and over until he got ranked 3rd assassin.

    This fight makes me so sad. During the entire fight, he's legitimately scared for his life. He believes he's out alone in the cold darkness of space, abandoned by the country that he took such a great risk for, but he still holds out hope that they'll contact him again. Everytime he cries, "Please respond." My heart bleeds.

    Rothus and then there’s the end. Travis finally shatters his mask and the weary old cosmonaut who’s been stranded for god knows how long sees he’s been home the whole time. He dies happily knowing he made it seeing the sunrise one last time. Leaving only his suit and gear, a floating grave. “Glory to the Soviet Union...”

    +One COOL Birb I do agree with most of what you said, but Skelter Helter could defend himself, unlike Travis' family who couldn't. Also, the game doesn't really try to make him seem Noble. Several enemies such as Bad Girl and Margaret Moonlight point out that he's a villain that sees himself as a hero.

    GhidoFan023 I mean, that's kinda *exactly* my point of him being a Holden-like protag. He's supposed to look like a hypocrite, he's supposed to be scummy. Also, I don't get the part about Vincent (Skelter Helter) since 1. he was a skinny-ass hipster who probably couldn't hurt a fly that ended up becoming a murderer because of Travis so he used to be defenseless 2. Travis still killed the only family member he had left (after his mom was murdered) and told him to eat shit, as if he wasn't bitching and moaning about losing his family for half of the first game and 3. why does the ability to defend yourself matter, that doesn't bring back people from the dead.

  • @ghidofan0239

    @ghidofan0239

    7 жыл бұрын

    +One COOL Birb 1. Travis didn't cause Skelter Helter to be an assassin, he was already one before he even knew Travis existed. 2. I didn't even know they said anything about Helter Skelter's mother. 3. It matters because SH made a conscious and knowing choice to become an assassin, unlike Travis' parents,(or just his mother), who were random civillians. 4. Travis' revenge on Jeane was still somewhat justified since his mother was innocent. Jeane murdered his mother for no reason. But yeah, like you said, Travis isn't really a hero. In the first game he's driven by revenge, and in the second he's just the lesser of two evils.

    Capitan vladimir is more like a spirit and paranormal like matt helms, he tried to eject himself in an effort to survive or try to reach the planet when he knew he was in a bad position and wasn't going to return, that's why he got that much power and why when he was killed his body is no longer in his suit, he finally knew he was back home and cried during the moment of realization he became insane but was back home, man those tears coming out of him is very emotional

    The first one definitely had a more unique style to it, from scene transitions to even how Travis moved around his motel room. The shading always stood out in the first one as well, since all character shadows were completely black.

    This was a really nice moment of growth for Travis. It isn't even about letting someone live out of mercy, or being honorable or anything. Travis was aware and saw that he was stranded and had no idea what was going on. He did not see him as a killer or a murderous psychopath, in that moment, but a human being that was stranded and finally back into reality. The dialogue of exchange was really heart-moving. He talked to him like a human.

    Only 2 ways to earn Travis respect. 1. Show no regret and relish every moment fighting, even when your dying or gonna die, keep going till its over. Ryuji, margarite, and bad girl were this. 2. So far gone doing what you do that there was no stopping till they were dead and feel free from it. Holly, vlad, and Alice were this. Travis takes thier deaths the hardest cause most were in thier own Philosophy on life and death, and would have rather see them alive then just kill them. The most impactful to him as a assasin were Alice and ryuji. Alice showing how cruel the world is and that once you start, there's no going back, which was why he shows so much pain over her death cause even if they were fiction or not, They aren't just a spectators fun and are alive. And ryuji who was just like him and was so honorable in many ways that he wanted him to live because it was an intense battle and were basically brother in arms, only to be gunned down and killed because he lost by slyvia. Vlad was gone and has been in space for so long he doesn't know what's real or not anymore, and after seeing he is finally home, Travis felt so sorry for him and wanted him to rest in piece. Something he never shows is that he didn't want him disturbed both body and soul, cause I can't imagine what vlad went through for him to be so far gone.

    I think Vladimir’s placement versus Travis’s character arc is meant to remind us that, even on the route to revenge, there is still good with Travis wanting to shred the UAA. With his monstrous insanity, incapacity to recognize where he is, and his belief he is still fighting for the USSR, *you can not tell me that Vladimir is a deliberate assassin.* The UAA probably picked up on his power and was able to coordinate a ranked assassin getting killed for spectacle. They are a heartless, money-grubbing institution, they wouldn’t think twice when it came to finding an ultra-powered rambling former Soviet who thinks he is lost in space, especially since he had a cannon even more intense than Speed Buster’s. Hell, I wouldn’t put it past them if they made sure he was even more confused and scared so he would never recognize that he has been coming down to earth and wasn’t being pursued in a distant planet by Americans. Vladimir isn’t blood thirsty, he is like a powerful dog with rabies with a crowd recording him for views. He got the ending he deserved, and then more with Travis intervening that his body remain with the earth. Touching, incredible, and one of the best bosses I’ve faced in my life of gaming. *Glory to the Soviet Union*

    When your battery runs out you usually would have to press 1 and jack-off your wii mote to recharge it which Im sure you already know, but due to NMH2 allowing you to switch weapons mid mission/fight you can just avoid recharging by switching weapons since they all have separate batteries. Pretty sure he just used the blood berry after all his previous 3 were used for this reason.

    Don't know if it's late already, but on No More Heroes 2, Blood Berry is actually the best weapon by far in terms of DPS, being their problems and it's used a lot to get low times on deathmatch in more than half the bosses (the ones who you don't use it are Nathan, Chloe, Alice and 2nd/3rd Jasper forms), Camelia MK-III here doesnt have infinite battery and a lot of the mechanics, even if the seem similar, they are a lot different from the first game, like the low combo being far superior in damage per second than the high combo.
