This is indeed another one of my favorite videos here on what I’d like to call your family style KZread channel. I truly wish I could have been there to see it all unfold before my eyes. I enjoy seeing younger ones in families like this being surprised with new things especially for safety & comfort while cruising around in either mommy or daddy’s cars. Congratulations too on what Chicco car seat you were able to buy back then too that we see showcased here. Nice fabric colors too and a leg rest to go with it. Chicco is indeed the best brand of car seats in my book for all young kids like your wonderful young daughter. The Chicco 2 in 1 belt positioning booster car seat is the greatest thing to have for all kids that are ready to make the switch from the older ones to the better new ones vs the Graco brand ones plus yes, they are real easy to install in the backseat of any car with a child latch safety system then you just feed & slide the shoulder belt thru the part on the one of the sides of the back head rest and it’s all set. Great to see your daughter so surprised and happy that she has that seat now. Hopefully she’s gotten way more used to buckling up in the car by now. I’m sure your younger son has a better car seat by now too also made by Chicco. I myself had a girlfriend who also has this exact same Chicco booster car seat in the beautiful red & black colors for her young son Caleb and we shared it & used it in her car and also in my car too which are both 2020 all wheel drive Ford Edges and he loved it. We went together & picked it up from a local Walmart a few days after she purchased it online then went & surprised her son Caleb with it that same day after school or whatever it was. Caleb even nicknamed the backseats of both of our Ford Edges his kingdom which i thought was interesting. As I said we were able to surprise her young son Caleb with the new red & black one that I helped put together at my girlfriends place which later included the Chicco snack holder that she also bought online about a year ago to go in one of the cup holders for her son which he loves too. We did this cause the other one he had that looked exactly the same but in different & darker colors and no snack holder at all was really starting to come apart especially on the head rest part. Of course we both took it seriously and decided to just keep the back head rest duo zone part of the new one intact no matter what until the day it’s retired. I’d like to have another one of these for in my Ford Edge but I don’t know of anyone young enough who would want to use it.

The Chicco MyFit allows for use of 5-point harness well beyond a convertible seat height limit: 54". Our 8.5 year old is still able to use it! 😍

I realize now that the two in one means it converts to a backless booster seat but i still would like to know if it has a slight recline position option?

I completely understand the nervousness, my son goes between dad and I every week and one day dad showed up and I usually don't go out and help load our son up, but I did this one time, and boy I'm glad I did. I went out and opened the back and looked down as my son was about to climb in, and I was like, um, no no no, get his regular car seat, not doing this, and my poor son got freaked out cus I freaked out..I usually try to make sure I don't do that kind of thing in front of my kiddo. Cus sometimes I am wrong in my fears of certain things. And I hate passing those fears down to my son. So I I was furious with his dad not talking to me about it prior to deciding he'd jusy switch the seat out on us...I am ok with it, now, but just mad he'd thought it wasn't that big of a deal, it's huge, it's a big change, and makes me nervous. Though the car he drives is extremely safe, I just needed to be prepared, and prepare our 7 year old too. I still choose to use the 5 point harness, but my car is smaller and I don't think my car would provide as much protection for my kid without the whole thing all the way around him. But my son loves the booster seats, he uses them with dad and with grandma, but I'm still sticking with the high back and 5 point harness. If I had a newer car, ide be more likely to switch,but I drive an older Toyota avalon that wad made prior to the latch system, and use the belts for strapping in, and I wouldn't have any way to " latch" in a booster seat.

Take a chill pill lady. I’m sure his dad loves him and prioritizes his safety just as much as you do.

My girls have been in the MyFit (the KidFit wasn't out when we went shopping lol) for a few years! They're 7 and 8.5 now. I do love that the MyFit has the 5 point harness but they have outgrown and wear seat belts now. Been eyeing the KidFit since it can transition to a backless booster!

Law's say DIFFERENT both my girls 8 & 10 still in 5 seat harness why because I care more about my kid's then what other parent's tell me

Does the back of this booster seat recline at all? Or does it only have one straight upright back position? No one is showing this feature, if it has this feature, on any videos. I thought the 2 in 1 meant there was a slight reclining option for a better sleep position for long trips. I'd love the answer to this question from anyone in the know! Thanks!

Gains is for sure tall for a 5 year old!
