Thank you Jon for your comments, very helpful and strange not to be able to hug and kiss. My adult daughter lives with me and we don't hug and kiss because she's still working and one of her friends tested positive.. It is a little unsettling, but today I prayed for everybody! especially the ones with a virus and a lot for the people caring for them, nurses, doctors, police force, armed forces, everybody who is helping, they are heroes. I still think there were too many people on the streets in Linares but glad a lot of people are obeying the rules. You stay safe🙏🏻 I know your will, and we'll get through this, it will go away, although my state seems to be the hardest hit in the US. God-bless!

my family has been practicing physical distancing in the house since they got back from asia in early february. I haven't hugged anyone in WEEKS and it's KILLING ME!!! we're doing this to protect my grandma who lives at home with us. at least, were' still able to see each other!

Yo tengo un hermano y una hermana que aun están en el colegio y les ayudo con sus tareas, mi hermana tiene muchas tareas, lo peor es que le cuesta concentrarse con el ruido de la casa (somos 6 en mi familia) así que prácticamente parezco profesora intentando que ella termine todas sus guías y enseñándole lo que no entiende, fuera de eso jugamos, ahora estamos con Among Us.

Me encanta ver sus vídeos tío john, espero que se encuentre muy bien junto a su familia. Aquí en Santiago está muy complicada la situación, ojalá que en Linares siga manteniéndose estable el corona virus

We have kept our son occupied with Legos, homework, working together on his plastic model cars, board games, video games, TV etc etc..... 😅😅 We also let him be bored. That happens alot. That gives him the opportunity to use his imagination. Hell, last night we watched the replay of the 2015 world series game 5 when our Royals won the championship. My son was to little little when it happened. So it was awesome to experience it with him last night. BTW if you are a baseball fan, all the MLB are replaying games for free from their sites and or team pages. Stay safe my friend

I remember that when I was a child I "invented" a home projector, which was made up of a shoe box, which contained a magnifying glass, a electric lamp and a slot, through which I inserted some semi-transparent paper bands, in which I drew a series of imaginary stories, consisting of landscapes, characters, buildings, streets and the respective dialogues in each of those rudimentary "slides". Then, I invited the smallest of the neighborhood to see those stories projected on a white sheet that I hung on one of the walls of the living room of my house at the time. It is thanks to this that many young children in my neighborhood managed to learn to read even before entering kindergarten (one year before entering first grade). I know it is somewhat archaic, however, it seems to me that the idea is not so bad. A big hug for you and your loved ones, from Santiago de Chile. Actualmente tengo un hijo de la misma edad de tu pequeño, afortunadamente tenemos un patio grande (vivimos en el campo) y no faltan las cosas que hacer y con que divertirse, pero hay cosas que mi pequeño extraña... ej: salir al parque, ir al supermercado o jugar con su primo (vive al lado pero desgraciadamente no podemos ir a jugar) lo que hacemos regularmente es hacer video llamadas con familiares. Me imagino la gente que vive en departamentos, debe ser difícil para ellos con niños pequeños!!

En mi trabajo en una fábrica de alimentos, tenemos la costumbre del contacto físico a diario. Saludo de mano todos los días y beso en la mejilla a las mujeres...pero ahora todo eso se fue, y hemos tenido que saludar con un buenos días y nada más. Mantenemos distancia en lo posible y si debemos estar cerca por el trabajo , usamos mascarilla o barbiquejo. ¿Que hemos hecho entonces? Memes y por ahí cuando estamos en casa, juegos en línea grupal mediante el teléfono móvil. Los sureños somos así y probablemente en otras zonas también. No sé si me puedes entender, pero imagino que sí...en Chile o en el sur al menos, los varones acostumbramos a molestarnos con bromas que a veces pueden ser un poco duras en apariencia, y una vez una señora me preguntó por qué somos así, y le expliqué que es una manera de confirmar y reafirmar la amistad entre hombres. Si eres parte de un grupo de trabajo o de personas que se reúnen habitualmente y no te hacen bromas es porque no eres tan querido en el grupo o no lograste aún sintonizar con ellos. Como sea, mucho de ese contacto se redujo, debido a la necesidad de guardar distancia. Algunos hicimos un grupo de juego y jugamos en equipo el conocido Call of Duty desde la casa y es una manera de no soltar el nexo de amistad, porque todos lo necesitamos. Eso además de compartir información y memes sobre cualquier asunto. Si uno considera que pasa un tercio o más de su tiempo con los compañeros de trabajo, es inevitable hacer amistades y extrañarlos cuando no están. Saludos cordiales desde Llanquihue Jon 😀👍

I lived in Utah for one year and a half, and social distance seems to be the rule. I remember that once I sat close to a "gringo" co-worker and he immediately jumped from his seat and sat one meter away. It was weird to me but it always happens like that in USA. If you dear kiss a girl hello, she will surely slam your face. Don't do it unless she is a close friend of yours.

Hola Jon! En Casa y en el trabajo hasta las 5. Soy de Curicó, y es verdad que hay menos gente en el centro. Mira con mi hijo me ha sido peculiarmente extraño, pq a el le gusta andar abrazandome toooodo el tiempo y besos. Asi q solo abrazos y no besos. Es verdad que se extraña mucho los saludos pero al terminar esto yo creo q nos desquitaremos* . Con mi hijo hacemos las tareas, jugamos a la pelota en el patio, tb plantamos unas plantitas y dibujamos...aunque tb vemos youtube y dibujos animados. Hay que tener creatividad y usar todo lo que esté disponible.

Hi Jon, we meet again... ha ha ha, just kidding, the worst part is when you try to keep your distance from each other but they just don't care and get close to you, it happens every time at the lines, also, if you keep your distance with the person in front of you soon someone will try to cut in the line bewteen you and that other person, is so annoying! I'm in my 9th day of voluntary quarantine, it's not hard when you do it for the health of your loved ones. BTW 10:39 in this video, the tallest hill at your right is the cerro Gupo, in case you didn't know. I've climbed that cerro like 30 times. The view from there is amazing. Best regards Jon! Trying to help people in the US as regular citizen, we have 'Nextdoor' it's an app that connect neighbors who share wants, needs, concerns, help, news, etc., it really brings people together and it is especially useful for those living alone. Also Joann fabrics the craft store, is giving away every day sewing kits to make 5 masks at home, they give away one kit per person, I've gone twice, my daughter once, so we have 15 masks we're going to make at home and then delivered to the store or to a hospital where they can use it. Maybe you can start something similar over there.Stay healthy please🙏🏻

I'm from Chile but live in Texas. I heard that about the clothes and also your shoes! Make sure you leave them outside in the sun or spray alcohol or Lysol disinfectant to the sole of your shoes. They say the virus droplets stay in the air for up to 3hours and if they land on the concrete where you stepped... You may bring it inside your home. Greetings from Dallas!
