It 'd be interesting that you make a video on how your students got familiar with the target language. Particularly how they practised the communicative skills...I've met many EFL teachers complaining the UTP's (Technical Pedagogical Units) are continuosly recommending them not to put into action many oral exercises on account of the noise they produce into the classrooms and the possibility they can disturb the next door classes. Incidentally in this point ,did you ever stick to your guns or had to step back to preserve your job...? As to the lockers ,when I was a secondary student ,back in the 70's ,my high school had them for a couple of years but as time went by ,they were removed as many slackers arrived late to the classrooms under the excuses the lockers' area was jam packed or they have lost their keys over the break so it was impossible to take things out...Incidentally ,tell us any experience that you had putting your John Hancock into the class registers,you must've had more than a funny one considering how forgetful you are...

Bernardo Cea that’s an excellent question and I think good educators fight for what they believe is right. I fought for having the kids always talk. We would learn and then talk. Other teachers, UTP and others had problems with this for sure BUT it was important to me and my other teacher with me for the kids to practice. I tried to speak with them in Spanish outside of the classroom a little just to show them that I’m taking risks too when I get back into the classroom. I feel like this was a good step for the kids to see that to learn another language you have to take risks and try speaking which is usually the most intimidating part.

Principal diferencia que no indicaste, relativa al tema de los lockers. No usamos lockers porque los grupos de estudios tienen su propia sala de clases. Los niños no van a la asignatura, la asignatura viene a ellos.

hola, en mi liceo si hay lockers, o casilleros como se les llaman, y también debemos ir a distintas salas con la mochila, hay salas para álgebra, química, lenguaje y para cada una de la materia, es como la universidad :)

En mi colegio habían lockers pero tú debías solicitar si querías uno, la mayoría estaban todos feos y destruidos además de ser mucho mas pequeños que los de EE. UU, en segundo medio mi profesora pidió algunos para nuestra sala y los tuvimos hasta cuarto, creo que eramos el único curso que tenia

Some of the differences I’ve seen (being a Chilean teacher working in the US) are: - uniforms - hallway behavior ( which surprises me that kids have to be super quiet compared to Chile where kids hear the bell for recess and they get loud and crazy 🤪) - having only one recess - letting kids have their breakfast in the classroom - morning announcements ( through speakers) - at least in elementary school, focus on the academics - I don’t see a school culture where kids could celebrate the school anniversary or having time just to have fun. I see in the states people take standard tests pretty seriously ( like SOLs) - number of students per classroom - supplies for teachers - free supplies for students - a huge amount of people involved in IEP meetings

Hola , aquí en mi ciudad Antofagasta , se está utilizando el buzo deportivo, cosa que los niños puedan tener más comodidad para actividad física, el tema de la ropa puede ser un poco complejo para niños que no tienen tantos recursos para ir todos los días con algo distinto, y en ocasiones tontamente pueden recibir burlas por repetir la ropa.

En colegio privados en la básica se usa buzo deportivo hasta 4 básico pero depende del colegio, luego usan uniforme, debe ser tema de comodidad en actividad física mientras mas niño mas activo e inquieto eres.

Es complejo, mi hermano tiene 14 y esta en constante crecimiento y ha sido mas costoso tener que estar comprando uniforme, porque por ejemplo crece su torso, y necesita un poleron nuevo, pero si ya no es abril marzo, se lo deben hacer, y por lo que sale eso le comprarian 2 polerones en tricot, sin hablar del pantalon que es mas caro, o las zapatillas, que no puede ser cualquiera y resulta que despues de marzo las zapaterias casi no tienen modelos de colegio y se vuelve una odisea poder comprarle

Por acá en Iquique hay varias escuelas que solamente usan el buzo deportivo, yo estuve en una, antes se usaba uniforme también, pero fueron varias las razones para cambiarlo solamente a buzo deportivo, la primera era el gasto que se hacía al comprar uniforme y buzo deportivo (ya que se usaban ambos) y la segunda y la que lo declino todo a favor del buzo deportivo es que los más jóvenes de ese entonces aprovechaban a mirar por debajo de las escaleras, no necesito ser más descriptivo que miraban, pero eso fue que mi colegio en particular usaran el "buzo" luego con el paso de los años, se han añadido más y más colegios, liceos y escuelas al uso de buzo deportivo, aunque en los liceos es más difícil de ver que usen buzo, varios liceos, sobre todos aquellos metodistas o católicos, siguen usando los uniformes.

Yo estudio en un muy buen colegio, en mi caso, está muy lejos de mi casa, eso es porque los padres siempre buscan lo mejor según la capacidad de sus hijos. y para entrar a algunos cursos, tienes que dar una prueba de ingreso, para determinar dos cosas: saber quiénes quedan, entre una gran cantidad y pocas vacantes, y dos, conocer cuanto conocimiento tienen los nuevos estudiantes.

Mi colegio no es el mejor, pero tampoco es tan malo, estoy desde pre-kinder así que no tuve que hacer prueba para entrar (ahora voy en tercero medio), entre en ese, porque no me quisieron aceptar en el de mis hermanos porque como soy "su hermana" iba a ser igual de "mala" que ellos (si supieran de lo que se perdieron 😌😎) mi colegio queda cerca de mi casa, no tenemos calefacción ni aire acondicionado y cuando llueve se corta la luz🤷🏻‍♀️, este año los horarios habían cambiado, media salía a las 16hrs lunes y martes y el resto de la semana a las 15hrs mientras que básica salia de miércoles a viernes a la 13hrs (pero con el estallido social salimos súper temprano las primeras dos semanas de clases y después se cancelaron.

Yo voy a un liceo que queda lejos de mi casa, en el que sí me hiciron una prueba para poder ingresar. La verdad en que mis papás han tratado de cambiarme várias veces de liceo (ya que estoy en segundo medio y es difícil encontrar bacantes, no lo han logrado), más no lo han hecho por el nivel de educación de la institución, si no por las constantes manifestaciones a las que recurren los estudiantes de ésta.

@@florencia8839 la verdad señorita yo estuve en un colegio municipal en la comuna de renca (santiago) en el cual nos temían aire acondicionado y estado en colegio en los cuales mis padres a tenido que pagar y es una mrd el colegio particular o subvencionado no digo que sea así en todos los colegios de ese tipo pero la educación y la aula en la cual me encontraba era una mala sala par lo que se pagaba y el colegio municipal le daba 5 pata en la raja al colegio subvencionado

I attended school in Santiago until 7th grade. Back then school was divided into 2 6-year terms. Attending school in the USA I found myself way ahead on world history & even US history, as well as most other subjects (except English), but I saw quickly that being ahead was not a good thing as you got ignored a lot. I liked wearing uniform and even more so once I attended school in the US as I didnt have a lot of clothes to fit the cold here. Coming from a family of educators (mother, grandmother, aunts) and being married to an educator as well as additional educators in my family (daughter, daughter-in-law, etc) I still like the teaching methods from when I lived in Chile when less emphasis was placed on computers and games & more on memorizing and research. @@hernanugarte8966 well, i think u r right, because in chile, theres like a 30% of private schools and the other 70% are public, i went to both, first i go to a public school, and then to a private, and the only diference, maybe its da appearance, but by the inside, its all same, the system its a bullshit, my parents pay like 320 dollars, and there no paper in the bathrooms, same in public schools, that why , i think USA schools are better, because u dont pay, but theres paper in the bathrooms, sorry about my english, i writing with gloves xddd

I've often talked about the differences between schools in the US and Chile, so I thought for sure you were going to mention the amount of subjects we get here. I have 14 mandatory classes, and whenever I tell this to my online friends they go craaaazy asking me how I can get through that much work. The other thing that surprised me was the breakfast thing, at my school we dont have breakfast there unless you bring it yourself and you eat it during breaks, and we dont have lunch either only once a week since there is a day we have to stay in school till 5 pm. With the whole covid situation I feel like uniforms are pretty much gone, I do online classes and I can assure you at least half of the class is wearing their PJ's 😂. Hola hola! Cuando leí el título me imaginé que harías un análisis un poco más a fondo de las diferencias en el sistema educacional de ambos países. En qué y cómo pretenden formar personas. Te comento hay varias escuelas que han dejado de lado el uso de uniforme, por ejemplo acá en Concepción hay por lo menos 4 escuelas libres ( basadas en educación Waldorf, en pedagogía 3000, etc) que funcionan sin ningún tipo de uniforme. I just discovered your channel and it's been really fun to watch your videos. I'm an English teacher from Puerto Varas in Los Lagos region and I work at a rural school. I had the opportunity to visit a primary school in San Diego CA. and yes, the realities are way too different. However, that doesn't mean that one is worse or better than the other, but they are really interesting to experience. It still amazes me to see our students get into the classroom covered in mud after a soccer match and how we need to give them clean socks. Or how they sometimes arrive in the mornings eating popsicles when it's freezing outside. Hoping to see on one of your videos how you're keeping up with distance learning/online classes or more particularly, you could share how you feel about teaching your languange in the Chilean reality. Si existen colegios que no usan uniformes en Chile, pero son colegios alternativos que enseñan la vida fuera de las salas de clase, laborar la tierra, más modernas o "hippies" por así decirlos, pero son muy pocas. Tienen un nombre como colegios alternativos o abiertos o algo asi. Lo otro son los nombres, todo lo privado se le llama colegio (desde medio mayor hasta 4°medio) y lo publico se divide en sala cuna (6 meses a 5años aprox), escuela (pre-kinder, Kinder y 1° a 5° basico) y liceo (5° a 8°básico y 1° a 4° medio). La calidad de la educación es distinta entre público y privado pero la mala curricular es la misma, solo en algunos se enseña más o de mejor manera

Legalmente los “colegios” son los que tienen desde 1ro básico a 4to medio. Se llama “escuela” si sólo tiene educación básica y “liceo” si tiene educación media, pero no básica completa (algunos tienen 7mo y 8vo). Lo qué pasa es que durante muchos años los establecimientos públicos no tenían educación de 1ro básico a 4to medio, por lo que se asoció la palabra “colegio” a los establecimientos privados.

There's the one International School in Santiago that doesn't wear uniforms, but international schools are always the exception in any country bc they're basically American schools. Big difference between US and Chile in High School is what classes students take - generally US students chose their own classes for each subject depending on their own level and elective interests, and because of the generally bigger schools, students have much more options when choosing what classes they take. In Chile, at most some students get to chose between some options (like between art or music), but there's much flexibility.

Oh man! So much good info packed into a 10 min video! Yeah, my schools in Miami were wide open! And good ol' Inspector Gadget! 😂😂And the food situation is soo different, but the US is the only place that treats food the way it does.

There are quite a few private schools in Chile where students doesn´t use uniforms, specially when belongs to a sistems like Waldorf. In the public sistem I think so all students go to school with uniform.

I grew up in Palmilla, which is 15 km from Linares and I studied my secondary education in Linares (Instituto Comercial, the one in the Plaza de Armas)I From first source I can tell you that the educational system used to be very deficient. Estimado amigo le contaré, que de acuerdo a lo que me enseñaron, el uso del uniforme escolar, fue una medida, para que los padres no tuvieran que gastar dinero en ropa y que por las diferencias de dinero algunos podrían comprar ropa más cara, en mi caso desde niño siempre usé uniforme escolar que era zapato negro calcetín plomo o negro, pantalón plomo camisa blanca y una chaqueta sin solapas de color azul claro y una corbata azul, las mujeres usaban zapato negro calcetas blancas un jumper de color negro camisa blanca y corbata azul, lo único que diferenciaba a los escolares en aquel tiempo era que de debía usar la insignia de cada colegio, ya que el uniforme era igual y obligatorio, para todos los colegios, después a medida que ha pasado el tiempo, le han hecho cambios al uniforme original y ahora cada colegio puede tener un uniforme propio, en mi opinión personal, los escolares se veían más ordenados, pero el tiempo ha cambiado y los escolares también, en aquellos tiempos cuando citaba al apoderado al colegio, era para que este tomará cartas en el asunto y disciplinaria a su hijo para adaptarse a las reglas del colegio, siendo como medida disciplinaria la cancelación de la matrícula y el alumno tenía que irse del colegio, pero como le digo eran otros tiempos, hoy tenemos que aceptar la realidad que se vive, pero debo decir que recuerdo con nostalgia aquellos días especialmente los años de liceo, que este muy bien ud. Y su familia felicidades

Exacto fue pensado así, para que no uviesn diferencia de familias con más o menos recursos y no se menoscabaran a los que tenían menos ya que sin uniforme algunos irían con buenas calidad de ropa o ropa nueva y otros solo tenían máximo dos mudas de ropa ese es el fin y el objetivo del uniforme.

Yo como chilena residente en California extraño tanto la diciplina del uniforme, acá da asco mirar niños que van en pijamas sucios sin peinar y lavar la cara. No hay diciplina de eso. La comida la pagas en las escuelas no es gratis y dan pizzas congeladas, pan integral con queso amarillo horrible, no me gusta la inseguridad en las escuelas. Siempre tengo el miedo que exista un loco con armas... Extraño la educación de antes en Chile donde uno se esforzaba.... ahora veho niños con pelos teñidos, no aros los varones, las niñas usan faldas muy cortas... apenas tengo 34 años y estudié en un colegio agrícola donde tenía formación estricta casi militar y por Dios que me sirvió para formar carácter y diciplina

When I was in middle school (Antofagasta? I went to a school that had lockers and you had to walk to each classroom and change your books during recess, however it wasn’t for the whole school, just from the kids from 5th grade to 4to medio. The rest had designated classrooms. In the school I went to on highschool (Osorno) we did have uniforms but they weren’t that strict about using it, maybe it was because of the weather but I usually just turned up with some jeans, sneakers, some hoodie and the school’s parka and it seemed to be enough for them haha

I grew up watching american shows and movies and I always wanted to experience what it would be like to go to school in the US. I feel like there are pros and cons in both just like everything but i’d love to experience it.

Well, I'm from Santiago, specifically from Maipú. When I was a kid I went to a school that was pretty similar to the ones you show in your video, but then I studied in Liceo Experimental Artístico (LEA), and that was a very unique experience. We never used uniforms, we could let bags over the floor in the hall and we never get robbed, we had kind of a "college schedule", and of course, we were studying arts, so you could hear a lot of musicians rehearsing, and your partners were ballet dancers, theater actors, etc. Sadly, there was a very deep crisis in that school (highschool? I'm never sure) and things changed a lot, not sure how much, but they've changed.

fui a un colegio sin uniforme y realmente a nadie le importaba como se vestía el otro, volví 7 años después para hacer un taller y todos usando calzas y poleron de buzo pero de colores y listo jaja

When I was in high-school in Chile we use most of the time a Jogger/diver as part of our uniform. Im now in university and I plan to do an exchange to U.S in the following years due to Coronavirus :( Could be nice if you do a video doing a comparison between Chilean universities and U.S Universities in the future, good video!

Im from santiago, and in my school we did have lockers from the seventh grade up. Before that, we had an inside the classroom shelf for you to leave your bag. And also the tables had and inside shelf for you to leave your (copy)books.

La palabra "jardín" para referirse al nivel preescolar se debe a una traducción literal de la palabra alemana "kindergarden" que significa jardín infantil. De la expresión original "jardín infantil"; se acorta a jardín, por efecto de la ley de economía del lenguaje (si puedes dar a entender lo mismo con menos sonidos, se prefiere la forma más corta). Respecto de los uniformes, surgieron en Chile por la necesidad de unificar a estudiantes de distintas condiciones sociales y económicas; con el tiempo se volvió en una costumbre y hoy en día significa un gran ahorro de dinero para los padres y, además, hay toda una industria que ha crecido en función de los uniformes (sin dejar de lado que es mucho más fácil reconocer a un estudiante por el uniforme cuando esta en la vía pública); por lo anterior es muy difícil eliminarlos. en todo caso, hay colegios donde no se usan, pero son la excepción y no la norma.

Ahorro de dinero usar uniforme? Creo que te sale como 50 lucas el uniforme completo solo para un estudiante, imaginate las familias que tienen hasta cuatro hijos, además siempre se compra más de una unidad por temas de higiene, siento que el uniforme más que ayudar al bolsillo de los padres solo es un gasto de plata más

A teacher from Osorno here (south of Chile)✌️Most schools don't have lockers but the Carmela Carvajal de Prat High School (a public school actually) does have lockers, and students have to move from one classroom to another. Most high schools in Osorno have a more "casual" uniform: an institutional crewneck sweatshirt, an institutional shirt, regular jeans and black shoes (and most of the time an institutional raincoat as well). They allowed this to foster the city's clothing industry. Having studied at Carmela Carvajal in my teenage years I can say the uniform is quite comfy but still some students will try to sneak in wearing whatever they want. Some schools have gone back to traditional uniforms as principals think it helps improve student behavior. Elementary schools still wear the typical uniform, though. Piercings and dying your hair is still forbidden in elementary schools (it's in the school rules that parents accept so it's technically legal), while it is being slowly accepted in high schools. Regarding the architecture... You might want to check if there is any school that has "grupo escolar" on the front, there are many old schools like this all over the country and *I think* they all have the same architectural design. They're pretty old now so probably it was some specific policy.

When i was in high school some of my professors let us just eat in class because a lot of us didn't have the time to eat before class. It was the best. A lot of times we ate with them.

I know this is not the subject of your video, but anyway I REALLY appreciate that you actually say "United States" when you have to address your country, and not say "America". I had use a lot of time trying to teach my international friends, specially asians, that America is a continent, not a country, but they are already so influenced by movies, media, etc that it's very difficult for them to understand that, and you didn't follow that tendency in your video. For me that's a very important thing to mention, so thankyou very much again and I hope you continue enjoy your journey in Chile. Cheers!

realmente esperaba que hablase de los menús, en chile se sirve un menú predeterminado cada dia, si no te gusta algo lo dejas o se lo das a un compañero, creo que en EEUU hay distintas comidas para elegir durante el almuerzo, (para los estudiantes claro está y hablando desde la perspectiva de un colegio público)

My mom is teacher in Punta Arenas, and the breakfast and luch is like the relax part of the day, they can go to smoke outside of the School, in that time the student Lunch too, of that form everybody can have some time for relax. And in this part of chile is very cold (in winter and summer) so the School is closed and have 1 garden for play football in summer

En Santiago hay un par de liceos (high schools) que no usan uniformed se llaman LEA (Liceo Experimental Artístico), pero el resto uniforme... Aunque muchos colegios han instaurado la rutina de Jeans Day, donde te permiten ir un día a la semana o tal vez al mes con ropa común, a elección del alumno.

Hello Jon, that school you were in was my first school, I went there from kindergarten to 5th grade, it used to be called "Escuela 7", then it changed its name to "D-456" and then to "República de Francia", today its name is "Margot Loyola" a famous break dancer, just kiddindg, a famous folklorist. I like the no-uniform option better because that way teachers can teach students not to be discriminatory from a young age. The bad thing about chilean schools is that the teaching is too theoretical, I think at the States schools are more practical and that's the way it should be everywhere. Hola, te cuento... soy profesora de educación física en Chile, por la cual conozco de cerca el sistema escolar, por ello puedo argumentar con bases, que es bastante diverso el panorama, dependiendo del contexto sociocultural en el que este inmerso el establecimiento, pues existen instituciones de carácter privada que tienen diversos gimnasios (techados y abiertos), todo tipo de implementación deportiva e incluso cuentan con piscinas temperadas, mientras que en los colegios o escuelas municipales con suerte hay material para realizar la clase. Suena bastante triste, pero es la realidad de este país, sin embargo cuando el docente tiene la vocación, puede hacer maravillas. En cuanto a los contenidos abordados varia un poco ya que el ministerio (gobierno) recomienda abordar ciertos conocimientos, pero ahi el docente y el establecimiento ve si decide si hacerlo mas extenso o mas ligero, dependiendo de las sesiones planificadas por unidad de aprendizaje. Por último, respondiendo a la pregunta de los uniformes, si hay colegios que no utilizan y los estudiantes pueden ir como ellos deseen, pero en su mayoría son establecimientos privados.

En verdad sería muy tonto hacer un vídeo para presentar un país al mundo, hablando de casos puntuales. La mayoría de los colegios funcionan así, y el vídeo está correcto en el contexto general. Y me parecería malo que fuera como esos vídeos de turistas que van a Vitacura a mostrar un chile que es muy pequeño. Sea campo o ciudad todos los vídeos que ha hecho tienen la gran gracia de mostrar las cosas que realmente hacen identificar a chile de otros lugares.

Nice topic you picked and close to your heart. I went to Catholic schools in Chile and we always wore uniforms. I think uniforms make it easier for everybody. For the children there's no distinction of who has more money to buy more trendy clothing and for parents and children, not to have a fight every morning about what to wear. In the States there have been children killing or shooting each other to have someone else's expensive tennis shoes! that shouldn't be. In the US some private schools do use uniforms.

I went to a school without uniform here in Santiago (La Florida) and I know about a few others like that, and because of that some people outside my school thought that we were hippies or rebels hahaha but we get each year the higher scores in the area I think. So I support the use of regular clothes, I know that even with uniform kids get bullied for any other thing stead.

Mi hija pasó por dos colegios, en el primero no usaban uniforme "formal", de lunes a viernes ocupaban el buzo del colegio, en su actual colegio si usan uniforme, pero implementaron las salas temáticas y tienen casilleros para poder ir cambiando de sala entre asignaturas. I think that High schools in Linares are the same as High schools in Santiago! I grew up here in the capital and everything you said about the school system in Linares is pretty much what's in here! (The majority at least. There are Highschools here that are very similar to the US ones) So, yes, there are no lockers here, we stay in the same classroom, we have a lunch recess and teachers have time as well to have breakfast and lunch during the day. Also, the majority of schools are open spaces and it never snows in here. So, yes, I think it's very similar to how everything is in Linares (except the eggs for breakfast haha) edit: Oh and, the uniforms! In the US you guys don't use uniforms and I think that's so cool

Antes cuando vivía en el sur , en esa sona Nevada y llovía demasiado, a si que en invierno era imposible salir al patio, una ves recuerdo que escarcha un poco pero hacia tanto frío que el suelo del patio se congeló como una pista de patinaje, fue divertido .

Hay algunos colegios que cambian el clásico sistema de Chile, incluso públicos.... Anglo-American tiene un proyecto en donde intervienen colegios, creo que se llama "Proyecto Pioneros". En Los Andes tienen uno y este año lo aplicarían en Til-Til.

There are some schools here in Valparaiso with no uniform. I think most of the cases are Montessori or other alternative schools.

The school uniform is to evade differences among students and cause it is accessible for parents, some schools give it for free. Also schools have color day or jeans day, so they are allow to wear their normal clothes for one day. There are schools that use lockers and change classrooms too, and fence is for security to evade that any crazy ppl get in

Here in Arica (north of Chile) we have a School in the Azapa valley that is called Marka Amauta. They don't wear uniform. Nice video btw. I'm work in a School in the Azapa Valley that is called Azapa Valley too hehe.

I wish you could have talk about the differences between the education system in both countries

Not really sure of which one is better out of those two options. But I do know for sure New Zealand education system is the best one in the world. No grades until high school! and in primary school you're even taught how to cook. No desks and chairs, learning is free. No need to ask permission to go to the toilet, kids can decide what to learn every day and work on special areas, no homework, no study with parents or anything like that... the list goes on... Oh, and no major differences between public and private education. If you ever can Jon, you should come over for a year and live this, it's a dream. All the best from NZ! Cheers.

Yo estudié en un colegio con sistema Montessori en Talca, este sistema te permite ir con cualquier tipo de ropa y las clases son mas personalizadas, existen unos pocos en Chile pero existen! Saludos!

Viendo tanta lluvia en el colegio, me acuerdo del juego clásico de jugar al cachipún, y el que iba ganando hacía avanzar al otro hacia el patio descubierto mojánose y a baldosa por derrota hasta que algún profe o inspector nos sacaba y castigaba directamente a la biblioteca! There are some british schools in Santiago that doesn’t wear uniforms but they are private, you can find a lot of differences between public and private education due to the freedom that private education can manage

As per uniforms. I think the reason they are used by the school kids is so they can be easily spotted if on the street during school hours. They could get in trouble, or it used to be the case.

Hola. Soy de Viña y me encantan sus videos. Yo estudié en un Liceo subvencionado-Particular (ni de muy bajo recurso ni de muy alto) en los 80-90 tenía compañeras hijas de ingenieros o médicos y otras que eran de obreros de construcción o de POJH (un sistema de obreros de remuneración muuuuuy baja) y el uso de uniforme evitaba que la forma de vestir demostrará aún más la diferencia social. Y hasta ahora, puedo decir que somos unidas, cada vez que se requiere. Ya sea que vivamos en una parcela con piscina o en una población de barrio bajo.

toda la razon, lo malo es que (por lo menos en mi liceo en santiago) quieren cambiar lo de los uniformes, a mi me parece mala idea, si bien la mayoría son de un estatus social parecido, algunos tienen mas plata, y los otros están con los papas en cana, yo no tengo problemas monetarios, y si bien puede que a muchos no les guste el uniforme o les parezca estricto, es lo mejor para la convivencia.

Vivo aca en tu pais, en FLORIDA, BOCA RATON. Y para mi las escuelas de aca son geniales y sin rejas como dices tu es se sentirse completamente libres..me encanta como es todo, la enseñanza es totalmente distinta... Aca se fomenta el deporte y en chile no, aca te ayudan a desarrollarte como persona y sacar tus talentos adelante, en chile no debes escribir todo el dia en miles de cuadernos en Chile y al final no todos los ramos que te pasan tw sirven en tu vida personal, agradezco todo lo que haces...

Yo estudié en la Región de la Araucanía, ciudad de Temuco. En mi liceo se usaba uniforme, teníamos lockers ya que estaba prohibido entrar a las salas con mochila (creo que empezó por los sismos para no entorpecer el camino) y si nos cambiábamos de sala, en este lugar cada profesor tenía su sala. (: como vez cada lugar es diferente. Saludos!

Estuve en un colegio en el que uniforme era obligatorio desde primero a octavo básico, pero de primero a cuarto medio te empezaban a dar mas libertad, para explorar nuestros estilos y personalidad, obviamente te llamaban la atención si ocupabas algo inapropiado pero eran bastante elásticos con el tema. in Chile schools with no uniform exist but they are not that common lol and actually I like uniforms, they're comfortable and you don't have to worry about what can you wear or not. Something interesting is that every school has their own colors but nowadays some schools are more flexible and let you wear uniform plus colorful clothes (for hoodies, jackets, hats, gloves, etc) by the way, I really like how much you emphasize the importance of food and having your time to eat here, is something I didn't realize until you said it. cuídese tío john 🤗

Theres a couple of exclusive high life schools like Santiago college , mckay school and craighouse where all is inspires by education in the usa . And the level of alumni is higher than public schools

Como tú, laboro en una escuela rural y sí hay lockers porque los estudiantes si bien los estudiantes no van de una sala a otra (a excepto la de música y computación). Ellos dejan todos sus libros en la escuela. Y el desayuno y almuerzo es igual, sive mucho para compartir entre los profesores.

I would say is the same across Chile and not matter where you are working or studying ( public or private schools are pretty much the same ) except for the uniforms ( Some privates schools let their students NOT to wear uniform and let their male students to have long hair). I lived in Chile and I went to private, public and subsidized schools and they are very similar in their curriculum and the way you described at the beginning of your video. ( The Principal = El ( La) Director(a)The Dean is =Inspector(a)...and The lockers. In English Canada as well as in Quebec is the same as the USA ...For my experience...
