I know GT350s have those special piston rings, that reduce friction In the cylinder walls, Which allows for a higher revving with less friction drag on the pistons! All of that can creat Troublesome oil consumption, On those early Flat-plane engines. Thankfully, you still have a good warranty to cover it! I wish and cross my fingers it’s nothing major! You are the fastest chaplain!!!✝️💨🐎💨💯💯💯

Wow the garage looks fantastic. The floor is amazing and I really like the wall color and all the decor!!! Thanks for sharing Bro!!! Hearing you say that the check engine light is on is why I decided against the C8 Z06 and I ordered a Dark Horse instead. There is a peace-of-mind need when driving one’s daily car that I require. Ferrari built flat-plane crank engines for years and through their experience knew to keep the size of the motor smaller due to rough running vibrations after excessive heat build up. But Ford & GM both built flat-plane crank engines that were bigger than any Ferrari. One of my close friends just replaced his 2023 Z06 engine, under warranty, but warranties are short lived. The Ford 5.0 engine is definitely a proven workhorse. Hence my decision on the Dark Horse. I know that you will receive your Dark Horse much sooner than me. I am not expecting my DH until after November. Thank you Stang for all the great videos!!! I like that you serve as a Chaplain!!!! 💪🇺🇸✝️

Sorry Stangmode, but how does a car guy drive a car completely empty of oil, especially a GT350 Voodoo. Some advice. If the car still has factory warranty. I wouldn't mention or show videos of you running the car with no oil showing on the dip stick. I'm guessing the Engine was also tuned for the supercharger which Ford will discover when they run diagnostics. That can also void your warranty no matter the brand. Good luck moving forward.

@@460duck For sure... And of course I keep tabs on the oil, let the engine get up to temp before getting on it, etc. I think another issue, that I've seen in the forums/groups, is people admittedly add oil as soon as they see any indication it is below the full line. I think you really run the risk of over filling doing that (especially if you check the oil level cold). I follow the supplemental manual and only add oil once it approaches the lower level indicator on the dipstick, and then only bring the level back up half way to full. This is spelled out right in the GT350's supplemental manual.

Bought my 17 350 brand new knowing the oil issues .. Checked it b4 every drive . It was over the top excessive .. I decided I'd let her keep drinking so when I brought it in for warrenty there would be no run around bc it uses 1qt every 200 mi. Ford took it in and added some uv dye to see where the oil was going or coming from and told me to just send it hard and often for 5 days and if it blew I was going to get a gen 2 voodoo . Boy I took a 200 mi trip to SC and just went full send the whole time .. I had to put a quart in when I got there and add another qt after I got home .. Motor held out and I took it in .. They inspected just to confirm it was burning and not being lost any other way .. Had the whole job start to finish done for me in 3 days and they were kind enough to send me vids at every milestone .. one when the motor was lifted out. .. one when the new motor arrived to confirm it was a gen 2 and another on first start up with the new motor .. They even called to ask me if I wanted a particular oil in the motor and I said motorcraft was good bc I was just going to change it at 1k after break in .. I use amsoil 5w50.. They also told me to call Ford customer satisfaction bc they heard that Ford was giving owners 10 year 100k mi warrenties on the car just to keep up your faith in the brand . They said I had to push hard for it and if I didn't get it to ask for a buy back to force their hand .. That's exactly what I had to do but I got my extended warranty free .. I really love my dealer .. I have bought Ford's there that were a bit more money then other places but it was totally worth it . They are loyal to me as a owner and I'm going to be loyal to them as a buyer .. Best experience I've ever had with a dealer

Yeah maybe right but mustangs do blow up more than any of the big 3. My theory here is that your capped on cubes for the dohc design. So to make it up it has to spin faster in this case 8600 rpm redline. The blocks are Aluminum. Excess friction causes heat which causes stretching and warping which causes piston walls to become irregular which adds to excess crank case vapors and pressure along with un burnt fuel in the blow mixed with oil. Commonly known as the piston slap problem which is why ford did the plasma spray liner crap but didn’t work. Also why dudes go sleeves, and why OPGs need to be done before any real power is made. Now not hating I like the coyote predator and voodoo engines just wish they were iron blocks. I feel that it would help with strength and cylinder pressure along with reliability. Like I said no hate I have had a few mustangs and a truck in the past. Loved the mustangs hated the truck.

It may not be under factory warranty any longer due to engine modifications, a.k.a. blower. Lol.

How could it be covered under warranty if you had a blower on it? That always voids all warranties

Unfortunately I had to trade my car. I couldn’t wait for Ford to get production right. I had to cancel my Dark Horse order and I bought a G80.

So you all beat the shit out of it with a blower, then remove it so warranty covers a blown motor? Don't you do a lot of work with Ford, not sure they want to hear that.

@@StangMode I am familiar with it I have a 2018 gt350. Mine doesn’t consume oil that much but I still check the oil level regularly to make sure it’s topped off… specially before I go beat the crap out of it.
