The scene with him on the couch with the milk and the tv is him basically trying the Moss’s life on for size, now that he’s seen the finer details and figured out where they could’ve gone from the bills and such. It’s probably the one thing he does out of order, out of pure curiosity. It’s something unfamiliar to his experience, hence why he looks at himself, the milk, and the couch and tv blankly, and just sits for a while. Like he’s trying to settle into it. I agree with @GigaJig that there’s definitely an innocence to this curiosity. Gives the viewer the impression that he may have once wished to fit into a domestic life, only to see himself in the glare of the dead tv, reminding him that it could never fit.
