I no longer buy from Scentsy since canceling my club. I have come to the conclusion that as long as I keep buying wax I will never be able to melt all I have. Will never know what works for me and what doesn't. Another big reason to melt and love what I have.

I love Scentsy for a lot of reasons, but I'm learning I don't need to go crazy stocking up on bars. I can grab a few of scents that I love and just enjoy them. Good for you, Kathy!

Hey Alexis! My last wax purchase was the salt mountain melts pre order. Teddy bees was tempting but I managed to skip that one. Then rosegirls I was so close to purchasing but didn’t end up getting anything. My goal is to pay off my “pay on 4 plans” and delete PayPal honestly. Keep it up!

You’re doing awesome! I haven’t bought wax that wasn’t L3 since May 25 (which has been my goal) I want to keep going definitely until July but as long as possible! One of my biggest temptations will be when RoseGirls posts the extras from the April pre-order that I just received. I love some of the scents and want more 😅

Maybe you can just grab an extra of the scents that you know you love, but skip grabbing anything new. All about progress!

You’re doing great! One thing that helps me, I’ll go ahead and put things in a cart, especially if there is a sale or special promotion. But I don’t buy immediately, I will wait and usually by the next day, a lot of the urgency is gone. The cooling off period seems to help me manage my shopping. Good idea to stay away from some of the FB groups. I’m not on Facebook but I am on Instagram so there’s that temptation too. They’re not called influencers for nothing 😊

You’re doing great! Leaving FB groups will definitely help keep you on track! Keep up the good work!!🌺🌸🌺Also, I have two candle closets and my 9 drawer Alex holds all my waxmelts. I’d buy multiples of my favorite scented items. I then told myself, if I buy 3, I must gift 3 etc. Then, I came too my senses!! I had wayyy too much!! I quit buying and did well w/o purchasing any wax for a long time!! I needed to enjoy what I had!!!

Hi Alexis- glad for your update & accountability place. I’ve bought no wax for myself since the May SOTM kit in April. I kept 3 bars from that. I bought tons of stuff on our vacation to celebrate my birthday. But I don’t count that. I’ve had so little wax in this year! It feels so good to just be using what I have!

Alexis great job, we have to get to the point where are collections are manageable and at a size that we can manage. ❤ I am on a low buy, making lists from all the videos I watch, if they come back around then it was meant to be. 😊 I am going to transition into bi-weekly empties, because I am like you I need to start tearing empties so I can see my collection going down not up.

I am with you on leaving FB groups 😂 I almost gave in to rgw pre order 😂 but I stayed strong thankfully.. I also missed scoopable thankfully 😂. I shopped my stash (my deep stash 😁 so it was like brand new 😂) I did do customs with L&S but I gave a budget of 150 and only went over by 10 because of shipping si I am proud of that 😂 and I am purchasing a few things from L3 today (4 loaves only) I wasn't going to but I didn't realize it was the very last one ever so I feel like i have to.. I am leaving FB groups also until August because I just can't seem to resist.. but I want to stay strong and stick with my no buy. I spend thousands a month on wax and stuff I don't need. And taking a break would be absolutely amazing so I'm really trying my best...

Staying busy is helping for sure. I'm really into the book i'm currently reading and been watching some more booktube and a bit less wax videos and that has kept me out of the FOMO mentality a bit. You haven't bought anything, you're doing awesome!

Thanks for being vulnerable, Alexis. I recently started to get new storage for my wax and it has been the most eye opening to me. More than a spreadsheet or anything. Thank you so much for those kind words! Yes, whenever a visitor comes over the door to the wax room closes and I don't want to be that way. I should be able to fit everything into my storage because it's embarrassing otherwise!

Girl! I am so jealous of your self control! I literally only buy scentsy, which is good because if i explored vendor wax, im sure im get sucked in and have sn even bigger problem than i do now lol. I totally understand why you got the bbmb -- im super pleased with this round. I literally only am not a fan of three(breakfast blend and dulce de leche and buzz worthy*i dont hate buzz worthy but def could only do small amounts sporadically of it*) keep up the good work! I'm trying my best to limit my intake.... Ive skipped my giant 45 bar clubs for the past few months snd will likely skip this next pne as well (i think i can only skip it this final time....i have a bi monthly and quarterly so nect month when i skip it i will have skipped both clubs this season) looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the bbmb.

Vendor wax is absolutely amazing, but the more you buy from the bigger hole you dig yourself into. Take it from my experience lol I have no regrets other than how crazy I have been. I'm very looking forward to this round of BBMB. A group of us are doing a live on Friday to smell them, and i'm scared because based on the notes I feel like I'm going to like so many of them! Great job Alexis! Amazon is the worst! It is soooo easy to add to cart and click buy! I personally failed miserably! Only because of L3. I had very little of her wax soooo, I failed 😢. Keep it up!

You are doing so good! I will admit I am struggling. I added the Scentsy summer collection to my club which processes today. I will cave and buy all of the BBMB in July, as there are so many I've never tried before. I am looking forward to your videos showing us what you have warmed each week, or however it works out for you to do it. Those are my favorite videos to watch. I am leaving a few vendor groups. The cost of living is rising, and unfortunately not my income. Am making a big decision what vendors I will continue to buy from. My top two vendors are TB'S and RG'S, other than that I have four vendors that will be occasional orders for me.

I am finding that it is rather empowering to skip sales and not make a purchase! That was kind of surprising to me. However, confession time, I did place an order with L3's last preorder. 😕 It wasn't a huge order but I had to make the exception. I don't have a big stockpile of L3 and there were a couple I really wanted to get. I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I've had more successes than failures so I'm going to live there! 🙂 See you next week!

I failed! I went into the l3 pre-order, and goose creek had wax melts for 2.99. I did over spend! And I have cut my scentsy club. I am thinking about leaving scentsy as a consultant. I don't make enough to justify the 15 for the PWS. L3 I think this is my last order. I may just mute the group. I have enough! An entire drawer full of wax. ❤ Great job on your no buy!!

I do love being a Scentsy consultant and it helps with grabbing a few bars, but I hear you. An extra $15 a month isn't always something we need and just is another bill at times! Tomorrow is a new day and it was L3's last preorder! You got this!

I couldn't resist the RG preorder. I knew I should have never looked at the list. 🤦‍♀️ I received my last preorder from RG, and there are scents I want more of from the upcoming RTS. 🫣 I need to stay off of FB. I know if I don’t see what’s available, I won’t be tempted. That’s easier said than done. 😞 I have entirely too much wax, though. I am trying to warm more, but it’s still overwhelming. I’m proud of you! 👏🏻 I hope I can get stronger. Hearing your thoughts and how you are doing helps me to stay encouraged. ❤

I have done good so far. I did buy the BBMB sampler, June SOTM, and the Inside Out bars on June 1st, but I saved my Scentsy commission to place the order so it was already accounted for. I am really tempted with Melting Memories pre order on Friday, she is closing shop this summer and won’t be back until September so she made a TON of new blends that I want to try 😔 I did turn off all the notifications to all the FB groups. I think having my stock “visible” keeps me in check cause I walk by it in the living room and I’m like yeah okay Aimee slow your roll 😂 I am an impulsive buyer for sure! I have a TEMU cart that’s been building for months that I am pausing on cashing out right now. I’m horrible with skin care, I will buy anything new to try ( face masks, moisturizers.. etc AND self tanner!! I’m a self tanning hoe and I just did inventory and I have enough for the summer. Back to school will be soon and all three of my kids are born in the summer so I have birthdays and just fun summer things to save for!! Thanks for helping us keep in check.

I’m so glad I came across this video! I’m doing my best to stay on a low buy/no buy. I did purchase from RG. She offered a scent that I KNEW I would buy if I saw it offered again. I feel good about it. 👍🏻 I’m trying to say no to BBMB. I’d like to use some party close out benefits to grab the bars I want most. Other than that I’d love to quit my “Willy Nilly” spending. It sure adds up quick. - I’ll definitely be unfollowing some FB groups later. You’re right! The temptation is REAL!!!

Being on a no buy is so hard. I struggle qith buying craft supplies. My latest is diamond Paintings, but I went on a No buy and Haven't purchased in 3 months! However I've been purchasing too much wax lately and I need to cut back after BBMB. I think I will be deleating facebook groups as well and stop qith social media for a bit too.

Goodmorning Alexis! I’m not doing so well with my no buy only because of L3 and BBMB in July😂 Having an RTS or preorder every weekend is really tempting. I don’t participate in all of them but most of them have different TO3 blends that I want to pick up. I’m scared to wait until August or September and not find what I need. As far as BBMB, I decided I’m waiting until July so I can listen to others talk about it first and I’m interested in a few warmers coming out later this month. Thanks for updating us for the week!❤

The thing with L3 with me is that I didn't want to fall in love with new blends so I'm hesitant to try anything that I haven't yet. I wanted to stock up on blends I know that I love. Sounds like you're still doing great Emily, don't be so hard on yourself! I hope that you have a great week!

In the beginning I was going overboard because L3 was new to me and I didn’t love everything so now I’m only doing TO3 blends and single oils. Thanks for the encouragement!!!

I hear you about Amazon. Having a Prime membership especially makes it easy to shop too much. You have been doing great. I have learned similar ways to keep up the no-buy also. I can’t agree more with paying off credit cards in full every month and I’ve always done that. Actually my credit cards pay me instead with cash back. 😂

Oh my goodness , the ads … I sware my phone must read my mind! Amazon is hard to avoid because If We need something, most of the time it’s easier to order it. The big purchase this week in our house was a vitamix blender . reason being… Even though we have a really great blender , the pitcher is Glass and extremely heavy. A friend of mine ordered me a lightweight Personal blender for my morning smoothies however, the blades on it don’t really do the greatest job of blending everything.. So the Vitamix was on sale and the pitcher is BPA free plastic and I feel like it will help me Since I have another fracture in my back, I have to be extra careful. Sorry to go on a tangent about that… so far as wax goes, there definitely were a lot of Temptations especially super tarts!!! I saw that autumn walk was being offered, but I avoided it. I definitely hear you on silencing the Facebook notifications or leaving the groups! I’ve done that before. I definitely need to do that again! Great job of being strong. Doing a no buy isn’t as hard if you have lots of pre orders coming in. A full month of no new wax orders and deliveries would be a real test.

I have been “snoozing for 30 days” any wax FB groups so they don’t show up in my feed. If I don’t see the posts, I have better resolve at not buying anything

That is a great strategy! I still like to be on the groups to show support and see what people are warming, but some groups I have no self control with so I had to just remove myself for now lol

Can I ask how you handle the Scentsy Club? Right now I have added every bar that I would want to a quarterly club and skipped the next delivery so I won’t receive it now next until October. But it’s a pretty large club. A year ago I deleted my club and thought I could manage but turns out I was sad about that and started a new one.

I actually just deleted my club! I recently chatted about it a few weeks ago in a video. I got to be overwhelmed by it. I kept pushing it out and figured if I keep pushing it out, do I really need the bars? In addition I was getting so many of the same bar that I thought there is no way I'm going to get through all of these, so I canceled it. There is always so many new scents that come out that I wanted to try. I feel good about it, for now! haha
