It wasn’t drowning nor was it his mother that pushed him in. They are actually very good swimmers and can swim if need be just a few days old.

These creepy little rats are actually exceptionally strong swimmers..even at just a few days old. They can also hold their breath for a long time. This rat was never in any danger of actual drowning, but the mama rat needs to stop coddling her baby rat, and let the little bastard figure out how to get himself out of the water. The little creep needs to learn how to do things on its own instead of constantly calling mama rat to come help his ugly little ass

She pushed the infant into the water because she could. The infant was more than likely, a low ranking monkey and she is higher ranked, so the Infants mother didn't retaliate.

She should have left it in the water.

The mother should push the big monkey that’s drinking into the water right after she grabs her baby
