The lack of hangovers feels 1000% better than the temporary buzz of alcohol. I just wish it hadn't taken me 20 years to realize that.

@@sreyen1065 don't beat yourself up. we all make mistakes in life, and one drink is a tiny set back. live life not month to month or day to day but moment by moment. I've been trying to find a drink that will replace beer, cold and refreshing without the alcohol and sugar and carbs for weight loss. I have found Zevia sodas, and ginger seltzers that have helped a lot. you got this. i'll be praying for you.

21 days sober today for me! I’m never going back because I never found what I was looking for at the bottom of that bottle, it was never there, no matter how much I drank. Now, being sober, I found happiness and my relationship with my fiancé has never been better and I’m getting more stuff done around the house, it’s amazing what your body starts to feel like and what you can do when you abstain from alcohol as a lifetime choice.

Made the decision today. I'm a weekend partier and guitar 🎸 is a major culprit in it. I think I need to give it up and sell them because of the influence it has on feeling loose and free while I play, but that's a ridiculous way to live.

What I hate about the opiates that I used to use, the withdrawal from opiates and alcohol are benzos, you get like this type of PTSD from it, or your body starts to break out in a hot and cold sweat, and you start to think that withdrawal is right on the border, your body is so used to going through it that your subconscious pretty much puts on a withdrawal show for you when you're not even using, it's really tough to get past but eventually you train your subconscious to forget about it all, I know people tell you that you should never forget where you came from and that it can all spiral downwards again and that is true obviously, but you don't have to think about it every single day, if it comes up it comes up, if it doesn't just leave it be and stay sober❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ great video brother❤❤ I remember I used to have this weird addiction to after getting clean, the dopamine rush I would get naturally and the way music would sound again, the way I would feel, was like a whole high in itself being sober, that was one of the most beautiful things, of course it levels off eventually but man when you freshly get clean, that's where you want to really build that Foundation because you're now free and do not need to go backwards, relapse happens but don't let that phrase make you think it's okay if you're thinking about relapsing because that's what I used to tell myself, to justify my relapse but no not anymore you have to just hold yourself accountable and pretty much say yeah no this is definitely not going to work, I'm going to pretty much f*** myself if I pick up anything, some people I don't know how but they can do certain substances once in awhile but if you know you're an addict or a recovering addict, anything that involves a dopamine Rush stay away from it,

30 days might not make you feel like a million bucks but you will at least feel like 500,000 ❤❤When I went on my little drink binge, I remember I would wake up probably around 5:30 in the morning even if I went to bed at 2, 12:00, no matter what time I would always wake up at that time not to pee just because I guess the blood sugar etcetera wakes me up, probably nocturnal hypoglycemia as well, it was like why is this happening? And then I stopped and it just got better day by day but it was definitely not restful sleep I'll tell you that much I mean yeah I guess but not really, now when I was like 15 getting the best sleep in my life I missed that but we also have to accept the fact that our sleep is never really going to be extra perfect that's what we always shoot for in addiction, to solve problems like sleep issues anxiety issues certain things, but it does not help in the long run, because then it becomes a long run😢
