NO ACCOUNTABILITY - Michael Wilbon RIPS LeBron James After Playoff Elimination | Sports 360
Спорт
YOU WANT TO BE THE GOAT? YOU HAVE NO ACCOUNTABILITY
ESPN's Michael Wilbon ripped into LeBron James and Anthony Davis on Friday over the way they handled the end of the Los Angeles Lakers’ season.
The Lakers were eliminated from the postseason on Monday with a Game 5 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the first round. Four days later, the Lakers announced the firing of head coach Darvin Ham - an outcome that had been expected.
Wilbon expressed his frustrations over the Lakers' decision and called on LeBron to "take accountability" like one of the greatest basketball players in history should.

Or Duncan, Bird, Magic, KAJ, Shaq, Dr J, Hakeem, Russell, not even Wilt. LeBron is a nomadic gunslinger who has no loyalty to any one franchise. His cult of fans follow him wherever he goes, and they leave when he leaves. He needs an already established star to win chips. He always has help and claims that he "never has help". Well said Michael Wilborn
He's been on three teams. All three times. When he's lost. It's been excuses. He's never accountable for losing. He's celebrated when he wins. The media makes excuses for him. They'll blame everyone else except LeBron. He'll blame a team mate , coach or injury. How's that 🐐 like? He turns the ball over. He misses a clutch shot. It's still not his fault. Make it make sense!!!
This is why he was never in the conversation. So many of us knew he was hyped by the media and tried to replace Jordan. He was never that guy.

Last i checked Bird played with a terrible back and feet. He still played at a high level. I never heard Bird make a excuse for losing. I really don't understand why he was never called out on the broken hand excuse. He came out to the post game interview with a cast. Can we just think about this for a minute. If he actually had a broken hand and played ball with it for a week then you would think that he would need to go to a hand specialist. Since the bone probably was already starting to heal they would have needed to re-brake it and make sure the bone was set correctly. And then after that need to wait a few days for any swelling to go down before an actual cast could be put on. Basically whether or not he actually had a broken bone in his hand that post game interview cast was just for show and served no medical purpose.
As a Lakers fan I hated that he joined the Lakers. I've never been less enthusiastic to watch a Lakers game in my life.

I hope this type of behaviour gets called out more & more going forward, so we can reclaim some of the sporting component of this basketball league. Professional sports are in the entertainment business, but it’s been way out of balance when it comes to a competitive baseline of competition. Let’s all hope it starts moving back to a better balance between being a sport with incredible athletes rather than an entertainment industry with celebrity athletes.
LBJ the “GOAT”? Give him 5yrs after his retirement he is no longer relevant. Unlike MJ, even kids as young as 8y/o (atleast here in the PH) know MJ thru his shoes. Maybe some NBA legends are also starting to make bold statements about MJ vs LBJ as the goat is to make themselves relevant these day and age. MJ is still the most recognizable athlete today and i think that’s the thing that separates him from the rest.

FACTS. 3 years after he retired nobody will remember him or talked about him. He'll be forgotten. ESPN and FS1 will be talking about Antman, Luka, Tatum & Victor.

Because he pays people to claim he the goat lol. We all know how the league wants to put him up there since MJ and Kobe are no more so he was the obvious but nothing like them. So he’s not hated but a liar who never takes accountability for losing but blaming his teammates and management etc…. Or jumps in the next chip sailing to another stacked roster 😂😂. Bron is a joke of a superstar kiddo open your eyes

I think every great takes accountability I also think they give reasons they lose as well. We and the media just pick and choose when we want to complain about it.

@noey… Lebron has always made excuses and had a media mechanism making excuses on his behalf throughout his entire career. He has never been accountable for the level of player he is or wants to be recognized as. You know that. Acknowledge it.

@@Nysdaddy factually incorrect... Sayin he never takes accountability is actually insane.. because it's far from true ..ppl are mad Ham got fired... Idk how often or closely ppl watch the Lakers .. but "laker nation" has been calling for Ham to get fired since last year lol...they saw something I didn't... But I didn't think firing was warranted until AD made his comments at that point I realized player/coach vibe ain't there... He has his flaws but LA messed up.. can't keep hiring rookie coaches...
