I just made 2 of these cards - 1 in an old color (Elegant Eggplant) for a 65th Wedding Anniversary card and 1 in Shaded Spruce for a Christmas card. I did also use the adhesive backing for the thinlits. They are both stunning. Thank you.

Hello Jan! Oh My Gosh!! This card is absolutely the most lovely Snowflake card design I have ever seen! I love love love the dazzling diamonds white sparkle glimmer paper that you used for the snowflakes! The pool colored paper is so beautiful and in my opinion, it is perfect for this project. I could see what you meant about the cuts being rounded and other side being flat. I appreciate the tip and I prefer the more rounded side too! I also never thought of using a clothespin to a help anchor my die cuts! Great tip, Jan! You really are one of the best designers I have watched on KZread! Jan I feel that you do a wonderful job in your crafting. Those dies are really difficult to work with even for the very best crafters. So tips and tricks are the secret. Have you ever tried those things they put into dryers. dryers cloths or something like that. You can get them at the dollar store and some have odors and some don't. try using them in place of wax paper. They may help you to make it easier. I hope it helps you. You have taught me so much I want to help you to find something that may make it easier for you. But you do great. I mean I hold my breath when I have to do things like the dies you were using. I commend you for your perseverance. Your cards are really beautiful..... Dryer sheets...that's what they call them... try it Jan and see if it helps you... take care... pat

Many thanks, Pat. I first tried dryer sheets two or three years ago when the idea was first shared. I'm in the UK so I bought some from my local supermarket, and oh boy, did I get in a mess! My studio smelt beautiful for weeks later! Apparently, I'd bought very moist dryer sheets; trust me, not a good idea! LOL! Since that experience, I've not tried it again. Many thanks for sharing this tip because I know a lot os my KZread subscribers read through other comments so it's a great tip for new crafters. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.

Jan, I have used your design to make 12 cards for a card swap I'm participating in with my local SU consultant. Each card is a different color and I've had fun picking out what kind of design I have placed on them. I have put a note inside each packet to refer to this video for others to also be able to try your card. It is such an amazing design. Thank you so very much for all your videos. Bravo! #7! It isn't at all difficult to see why! You're #1 in my books, I hasten to add. Absolutely spectacular card project, Jan and while it does look a bit tedious, I can see that the extra care and patience pays off enormously! Love your work and congratulations! May be you owe yourself a Spellbinder machine to cut your dies. I have a older Machine and have watch thousand of videos with there newer machine, they are easier to use and extra plates not needed. I just make a second pass if neededI have had no warping with my old machine, it about 3 years old. It is the shims and extra plate that cause the warping. Thanks for all you do!

A piece of shopping bag plastic instead of wax paper will not leave residue on the die and releases easily.

Many thanks, Martha. I have heard this tip before, but plastic bags are being phased out - and quite rightly so - to help our environment, so I'll stick to my wax paper. I don't know what the problem is with wax paper and dies. I saw a video quite some time ago, when a man - who represented another company that sells dies - siad that it's bad to use wax paper with dies, but he didn't offer any reason why. I know you say the plastic won't leave a residue, of wax presumably, but that's good because it helps future dies to come out more easily. Do you know what the problem with wax residue is? I'd love to know. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.

Hi Jan, I just looked up this video as a refresher to do cards for my granddaughters that I will see on the 29th. Have you tried using a fabric softener sheet? Works as good as wax paper, in my opinion.

Many thanks, Lola. I used a dryer sheet once when it was the in thing to use them for die cutting intricate dies. I vowed then, never again! Mine were far too wet, and made a mess of everything! Hi Jan, My granddaughters really loved the design I did using your bridge card format. I have also decided to use this design for 12 cards I'm making for a card swap at a retreat I'm attending in February with my SU consultant here in Yuma AZ in February. Turning really awesome. Thank you so much for this design. As always I look forward to all your videos. As a Christmas gift of a few cards I also made your box. Went over really big too.

What is the finished size of the card? US measurements are typically 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" or, sometimes I make 5" x 7". I seem to remember that British size is different, so wondering how much I will have to change the measurements to work for me. Thanks. It is a lovely card.

Hi, Julie. When the card is flattened for the envelope, it measures 6" by 4.25" which fits the Stampin' Up! European envelope. If this doesn't fit into a US envelope and you need help working out what measurements you need, let me know the size of the us envelope and I'll be happy to work it out for you. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
