Maybe they got another wrestler to portray Rey Mysterio Gold and book a future storyline where Rey Mysterio Gold is the real Rey Mysterio and the other Rey Mysterio’s a crook and an impostor. Or maybe, Rey decided to say “Eff it, I’ll just take off my regular gear while I’m out here and rejoin the match as Rey Mysterio Gold! If Mick Foley can do it not once but three times, I can do it too” The only difference is, Mr Foley got to enter as his various gimmicks at different points in the Royal Rumble match back in 1998.

the funniest elimination for me is during the royal rumble stable wars, when Ivory eliminated Brock Lesnar after being beaten down for like 5 minutes straight.

I love that Rey came out, started the whoooaaaaaaa thing, got eliminated by Eddie, immediately came back just to get eliminated by Eddie again. Eddie was not having any of Rey's shit.

I didn't think anything can top the Undertaker eliminating himself, but Jazz being launched off the turnbuckle by Kurt had me dying!

This rumble had that instant classic feel to it. This is up there with the greats of the Rumblethon

40 minutes of the same elimination and then one glorious launching out of the ring. What a strange, wonderful Rumble this one turned out to be and what an amazing lineup so far!

Not the same engine as Raw 2. In fact, totally different company. This game was made by MK co-creator John Tobias' studio, Gigante. They made a budget fighting game before this. They had 6 months to put this game together, and when they shipped the game, someone accidentally sent a beta version to the manufacturer. So the initial retail copies of the game were very broken, and they had to do a full recall on all copies. Two weeks later, they began shipping out corrected versions of the game, but by that point, they had already lost millions of dollars and had to quickly file for bankruptcy. Honestly, as broken as this game is, the fact they were able to build an engine, do all the models, animations, and put this together in 6 months? Quite an impressive feat. Would have been nice if they were given the full 16 months that all the rest of the games have.

Growing up, WrestleMania 21 was my first wrestling game. The graphics have aged pretty well, especially with the power of upscaling via emulation, but fuck if the AI wasn't dumb as hell to play against. Seeing nL experience this firsthand has me feeling all kinds of vindication for my childhood. 😅😅

I think it's one of those where you have to play it and it just ends if you get thrown out, so there's probably a workaround like in Legend of Wrestling 2.

This was legit one of my first wrestling games I'd ever own as a kid. That and Burnout 3 Takedown and NBA Inside Drive 2003, back when NBA games had class and were unique against 2K and EA. My mom pre-ordered this game for me at Gamestop and played the hell out of that on XBOX before jumping to Playstation and playing SVR 2006.

This rumble was probably the most fun and different rumble and i do hope this game makes a return in future rumblethons This was Miss Jackie's first rumble appearance ever and i believe she was planned for SvR 2006 but was cut when she was released Charlie Haas scored 6 eliminations Big Show is the only wrestler in this rumble to have a year in his name 2000 & THREE) Rey Mysterio cheating like always

I bought this game in 2005, not realizing it wasn't backwards compatible on the 360. Years later I finally saw footage of it on KZread and was no longer disappointed that I couldn't play it lmao.

✋️ I got this game a little over a year ago when I got a modded original Xbox console from Cash Converters in Australia. And I completed WrestleMania 21 100% (without cheats) throughout a single month. It does take a long time, but there is a strategy to make more cash for the WWE Shop. You just have to play a hell of a lot of 1 on 3 handicap matches on rising star difficulty. And may I say to everyone who is willing to give it a try, good luck, because the gameplay is kinda whack.

From my very limited memory of watching cutscenes from this game on KZread, I feel as though this game definitely deserves a nL playthrough. Along with the DOR games. Also you do have to create a wrestler, which isn't a terrible thing considering this is nL.
